I hate something about us as a people . This is civil matter ...why using a higher force ...what happen to police ? You didn't even tell us the amount to enable us no if it worth fighting for . I know is your hard earned money but apply common sense ..if you most fight for it , follow due process
The amount in question is irrelevant.

If someone transfers money to your account due to an honest mistake then you have a duty to return such funds.

Only a thief will start dillydallying or giving some useless excuses

time in school is never wasted, there are people who wants to be on nairaland as you, but can't because the knowledge of how is not there. that is just the least. have you ever imagine how it would be coming across many written signs and all you could do is just walk by without knowing what is on a single one? more like the blind mehn. education is never wasted, forget the present situation, later you will appreciate it.

I just almost fell victim to these bastards just now now as i am typing this.

After all the stuff they asked for and made me do they now asked me to create an account with Aku MFB using the email that they created for me and then asked me to transfer the 30% deposit to the account which i did. Thats when the guy now called me and while i was on the call i got like 2 otp for password reset. I tried to login in to Aku and i could not thats when i realized what they were doing, so i cut the call and quickly did forgot password and changed the password back and then transfered all the money out.

That is someone would have scammed me of 1m just like that.

I mean i had my suspicion when their website changed domain and a bunch of other red flags but i just went along. I said let me check nairaland for these guys sef before i go further and then i saw this thread and thats when all my suspicions were confirmed so i was a lot more cautious and expecting the scam
Bravo!

You were very quick in thinking and reacted accordingly that's what saved you. cheesy

This present economy is not a good time to loose money to bastard scammers

My account got suspended immediately posting multiple messages about them asking them to refund my money.
That does not in anyway prove that they were the ones who requested suspension of your account.

As a rule most social media will suspend your account if you make multiple posts accusing another person of wrong doing especially if you do not provide incontrovertible proof of your accusations!

A real physical business like buying bags of pepper in the North and selling them here down south in Lagos.
For instance, a bag of pepper in Kano might be 15k, with the laada, loading and all that, it might come with a cost of 17k.

a full bus can contain 55bags that is 17,000 X 55 bags = 935,000

Transport to Lagos = 300,000
935,000 + 300,000 = 1,235,000

When it gets to Lagos, a bag goes for as much as 30 - 35k most times
that is 55 X 30,000 = 1,650,000
laada on each bag of pepper is 500 naira which is 55 X 500 = 27,500
Offloading = 5,000
1,650,000 + 27,500 + 5,000 = 1,678,000

profit for just a single trip = 1,678,000 - 1,235,000 =443,000

Pepper is hot cake here. You can message me for further details.
If someone who does not have experience in business sees this your calculations he will think that once he invests in it he will be using shovel to pack profits grin

What about the cost of spoilage?

Where is the cost of levy for the market!

What about money for settling police at checkpoints along the way?

You will also need to settle agberos at the market before you can offload, where did you put that expense?

What about contingency expenses assuming the vehicle breaks down on the road or suffers delay?

Instead of them to focus on what took them there they're more interested in posting pics of fake life so they can pepper their friends in Nigeria
