I'm always amused by the way some of you Yorubas reason. Igbo and Hausas are your nightmare. You resent them and even kill Hausa but Fulani that are sending you on exile progressively and have taken Lagos from Yoruba people were carefully ignored. That's why I say you guys stand no chance of surviving this Fulani onslaught. GidiCars: |
anetuno:Could not help laughing at the quality of your reasoning |
LokoH:I agree with you. No inch of Igbo land goes to the bandits. Of course all Nigeria knows that Igbo are the last man standing as far as the Fulani inroad is concerned. We've seen tribe after tribe capitulate and without response to the Fulani threat except ECN. Nevertheless, what we are saying is that conflict on a grand scale against an army that is better armed doesn't make strategic sense. In so much that ESN is doing a good job stopping the killer herdsmen, they should have strategic plans and not just tactical. That's why I said that conflict with the military should be avoided. It will lead to avoidable deaths on both sides and especially on non combatants. No soldier no matter how brave wants to die in battle and that is what will happen is NA squares off with ESN. |
superjab247:War is a function of clout, strategy, endurance, motivation and competence. IPOB may be motivated, but they lack the weapons to prosecute an all drawn out conventional war. As you rightly said, the party that controls the airspace determines the pace of the war. 1967 Biafra stood no chance without weaponry. With foreign powers backing Nigeria, it was only a matter of time before it capitulated, But with asymmetrical conflict such as what ESN would likely do, all parties would get tired of the conflict just as the NA are already tired of BH. Then think of the effect on civilians. Wars are rule-less in Africa so it's better imagined than experienced. |
Gozzzy:Was surprised it took you so long to realize this. You were wasting sound reasoning on an obtuse person. |
superjab247:The stronger party in conflicts always spoils for war. But when war is asymmetrical, no one can determine its outcome and those that suffer are the non-combatants. IPOB should understand that they are not in a position of strength at the moment and discipline and ideology doesn't always win. It is on record that the Biafra, despite being a better organized party, lost the 1967 civil war because it lacked arms to prosecute the war. It's more than 50 years since the end of that war and it is unlikely that IPOB has the capacity to match the Nigerian government that has been buying arsenals for 50 years. This is why de-escalation is the right strategy right now. The 1967 scenario must not replay bearing in mind that the odds against the 1967 Biafra was 4 to 1. I read somewhere that military analysts said had the odds against Biafra been 3-1, that the outcome would have been different. Presently, I do not think the odds are any better. On the other hand, the Nigerian government must know that opening several theaters of war is invitation to destabilization of the country. We do not want to become another Libya or Somalia. The population around here is such that any humanitarian crisis would be catastrophic. Let's all give peace a chance by addressing the underlying causes of agitations which has caused the proliferation of ethnic militancy. |
EastisBae:Are you not aware that ESN are not only Igbo guys? Many of them are from Rivers, Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom. I just watched their Akwa Ibom Command. |
Those are tough words indeed. However, war does not pay anyone because the gun kills according to destiny as seen from what is going on in the NE. |
It's a tough call understanding what's wrong with this country. Are governors not supposed to make recurrent expenditures such as salaries more exigent than these substandard capital projects they routinely embark upon? If you can't pay people, why employ them? Anyway, the judiciary is to be blamed for not exercising their independence. The military technically destroyed this country with coups. |
Some of us warned Benue and Southern Kaduna people in 2014 of the calamity of voting APC but they, like Yoruba shouted Sai Baba. Today, Fulani agenda is on course just like the German Machine of 1914. This is the consequence when a people lack foresight to the point of empowering an enemy bent on destroying them. Imagine being trapped in a room with a 12 foot King Cobra. That is the closest present scenario. Even if they're unable to eliminate Ortom, they'll surely plant their stooge like they did throughout the South after Ortom is gone in 2 years. What I find intriguing is that they do not even care that these are regions that handed Nigeria over to them. They're still bent on destroying them. Imagine the US Consulate in Lagos recognizing the Sarkin Fulani in Lagos Yorubaland. Doesn't that tell you that what Mr Igboho is saying that Lagos is conquered by Fulani is correct? Reminds me of the British recognition of the Emir of Ilorin instead of the Balogun who had even grown more powerful than the Emir when the British arrived Ilorin. You see, it'll take having men like Igboho and Kanu rally the natives, otherwise, this country is already gone. For Yoruba people, if you guys keep sitting on the fence due to fear of tomorrow and what you'll eat, by 2023, Birom would be child's play to what Fulani has mapped for you because half your land would be IDPs while the other half would be EDPs. For all the other ethnic groups, you'd better take the warning of Theophilus Danjuma Seriously. |
StaffofOrayan:You're an intelligent analyst. I tell people that no Southerner would get that presidency in 2023. Our people are so dull. Just the way we told them empowering APC in 2023 would be calamitous to natives. The SW thinks Fulani would give up on the inroad they've made so far without turning them to another. Benue-Plateau or even Southern Kaduna. It'll take more than their present response to stop the Marauders. Until Southerners understand and develop proper response, they stand no chance in this country. Both PDP and APC are firmly in Fulani control. Both or one party would present a Fulani. The one that doesn't is just a strategy to make Nigerians feel it is a fair contest. All north will back the party with Fulani candidate even if it's PDP and the agenda continues until natives buy sense. The people I pity are the Tinubu camp who have invested emotionally, financially and ethnically in 2023. Abiola would be a better scenario because at least the man contested and won. Tinubu won't smell there. Another disaster is that they're hoping that it would be the key to stop Fulani onslaught. That's a pipe dream. I have the feeling that any Fulani that Buhari would hand over to would also be sympathetic to their expansionist and land grabbing agenda. Some of us saw this prior 2015 but we never imagined it in this scale. I remember warning some Southern Kaduna and Benue folks backing Buhari in 2014 of the danger they'll put their people in. What I never envisaged was the audacity of the Fulani to attempt conquest of big tribes in this 21st Century. |

Pity... MufasaLion:He paid the "price for peace" according to the screenshot can only mean that he he was terminated by one of the many crises that is Nigeria, such as" Boko Haram ISIS WA Branch Fulani Bandits NW Branch Fulani Bandits SW Branch (unlikely) Those are the hot spots we have in Nigeria presently where death is as common as picking berried off the shelf of the supermarket. PDJT:This is the only country where people celebrate death of its soldiers. The only one where soldiers routinely turn their weapons and aggression on citizens. This is because soldiering should never be politicized. There is need to make the army people friendly. Unless this is done, asymmetrical warfare would continue to be nightmarish because it takes civilian support to win it, avoid ambushed and even certain death. The military authorities really need to look into this. You cannot have an army where men run amok routinely and expect the people to love or even respect such a military. I know it is norm in Africa that that conflicts are ruleless but conflicts should not be with people who are unarmed. If you keep harassing the unarmed, you end up pushing them to be armed. Then the same military would pay the price in more bloodshed and death as we have seen with Boko Haram and militia springing up all around the country. This is Africa and it's a matter of time before we become another Afghanistan with warlords controlling turf. All these are consequences of bad leadership and politics. |
kingthreat:Really? Still you'll shed blood to keep the region useless to you in your El Dorado? How wise. So why do you cry blue murder whenever you hear Biafra knowing it has nothing to offer? Knowing it is the only region no one goes to or need? Isn't it paradoxical you're not celebrating when Igbo talk about leaving your beloved Nigeria? I've always said that your love for your stomach is your undoing. Shebi it's long-throat for free crude oil that keeps Yoruba in Nigeria while Fulani have slaughtered your people and will keep slaughtering and sending you on exile. We Igbo are not like that. Our survival comes before what we eat in our belle. Biafra has our support. Thus shall it always be. |
kingthreat:Just as Igbo has existed before Nigeria. What you people do not understand is that Biafra is a movement. As in something unstoppable. I think the only group that has this inkling is the Fulani. That's why they're hoping to use conquest of Nigeria to stop it but it's already impossible. Even those of us that never took Kanu seriously now do because no Igbo can be subservient to another tribe. Even if it means war. You see, most of you Yoruba do not understand what has come upon you. That's why you're still playing with Fulani conquest agenda. I think what happened to Hausas and llorin didn't teach you a lesson. I don't believe anything I say would. Anyway, if Yoruba could back a known jihadist in 2015, I don't see you guys understand what the future portends. That's why you see what's happening in SW as storm in a teacup. Perhaps when it becomes a refugee crisis and they start renaming your villages you'll wake up. Events such as that is the reason even borderline Igbo are fully in support of Nnamdi Kanu. Igbo Homeland must be defended at all cost. It is all good. |
Yoruba and ritual are like Siamese twins. |

morgstreme:No be only Masters, na Masalachi |
Nicenancy:Sin is sin. However, even the old and New testaments show that some sins lead to death while some do not. In the old testament, some sins such as a girl having sex before marriage, murder, and sometimes, manslaughter results in the offender being put to death. Also, idolatry and witchcraft carry death sentences. Sins such as having your cattle destroy another's farmland demands compensation. The new testament says there are sins that lead to death and clearly lists things like greed, adultery, fornication and the like, saying that those that live like that shall not inherit the kingdom of God. However, we can be sure from the teaching of Jesus that sin leads to hell when a man dies if those sins are not forgiven through repentance and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. For example, both Jesus and Paul taught about forgiving those who sin against us. Jesus said that before you give God anything, that you should be reconciled with your brother. He also said that if we do not forgive those who sin against us that our Father in heaven will not forgive our own sins. This means that all sins are not equal. But that doesn't mean that we should condone sin in our lives because sin leads to eternal death. |
kingthreat:Your premise is wrong. Hailing your enemy's travails doesn't mean you're responsible for them. You should expect that IPOB would be happy when calamity befalls the Nigerian security forces who routinely molest them. That doesn't make them responsible for the attacks. Even here on nairaland, there are many who are happy when BH kill Nigerian soldiers. Would you say those people are Boko Haram? Isn't it because of the cruelty and molestation of civilians by the soldiers? I think you should be worried more about the conquest of SW by Fulani than phantom war in SE which doesn't exist. The East I know is not interested in fighting a war. But will never let Fulani conquer Igbo land the way they're clearly done to Yoruba. Read history of Emir of Ilorin and the more powerful Balogun and compare with what has happened in Lagos you'll understand that your land is gone. That soon Yoruba governors would be Fulani just like Hausa. You guys claim to know politics but evidence on ground show the contrary. |
kingthreat:So you don't know you're already at war in the SW, MB and all over Nigeria? Fulani has already conquered Lagos without firing a shot. They're only deceiving you with the rural attempt at conquest in Ogun and Oyo. So which war are you talking about? Sarkin a Fulani man rules in Lagos and recognized by US consulate because you guys were dumb. Why do you think Fulani are stockpiling money and weapons and militia? You think they'll spare you because you ranted? No region is safe from attacks. By the way, I don't think IPOB is responsible for these attacks on the police. Releasing criminals and attacking the police doesn't make sense and has not been their mode of operation. It is the job of the government to find out who but it's foolishness to think that SE and SS which are the most peaceful region at the moment are going to be war zone. Granted, having hoodlums carting away weapons is dangerous. But this could be the results of government inaction against killer Fulani militia. |
Great project ... Buhari is doing well. |
Fulani already conquered Lagos. Imagine the US Consulate recognizing Sarkin Fulani while the Oba of Lagos is ignored. This is why I tell my Yoruba friends that They need to put their existence before their belle. Lagos gone, Ogun and Oyo, targeted. Just read the history of how the British recognized the Emir of Ilorin who was Fulani instead of the Balogun who was Yoruba to understand that Yoruba people do not know what is happening to them. I wish they'll be sensible to listen to and give Igboho the support he needs since he seems to be the only fearless human being there. |
Hmm....These people need a proper response. This is war. |
Chasing rats while your house is on fire. Fulani has taken over your land and you're playing politics. Lagos done and dusted even as they distract you with those sent on exile. You guys berra wake up. |
This is the Deputy Chief Fulani slave of Igbo land. |
The plan is to eliminate him and install another Supreme Court- like governor to promote Fulani expansionist agenda. |
nairalandankrah:Yoruba is not awake at all....Lagos is already gone to Fulani. Now they're working on Ogun and Oyo, still the Oduduwa people do not know what has befallen them. I'm beginning to understand why the former Emir of Kano relocated to Lagos. Economically and politically, Lagos is a goner. Imagine a Sarkin Fulani of Lagos being recognized by US Consulate in Nigeria. Yoruba are too dull I tell you. A disgrace to the South. I'm glad that Igboho guy seems to understand. |
So these terrorists are still left in the East to have the effrontery to report to the police, their terror sympathizers? The Kano state government has offered them land in Kano, but they need all Nigeria for Fulani abi? |
If you think Fulani do not know what they're doing, you're a joker. Deceit through lies is part of Islam. The only peaceful community with Muslims is the one where they are minority. It's just like what happened to Hausa. The herdsmen are harbingers of Jihad. They'll only be peaceful when they are a handful and new to the area. As their population increase slightly, they start troubling the people. They'll do that until they're powerful enough to overrun you. |
I no wan Iaugh abeg |
