majekdom2: yea ,with the psc law , the projects belongs to Nigeria in the long run after some years of profit sharing. yea , funding could be hard but if we have got a leadership who sees governance as an investment and not the other way , we would not have problems. To me the PIB is just a scam just like the subsidy
* to those complaining about talks on the matter , it isn't a bad idea discussing this issue.what would you like to hear or see? kindly ignore if you are not interested.*

Collintos: True to some on extent......personally speaking industry indications shows that gas supplies have been secured for the Train 7 project and SPA's signed with the respective longterm buyers. The FEED for the approx. 8MTPA capacity train 7 project should be ready. The major challenge is the Signing of the FID . Which I believe the IOCs (Shell, Agip and Total) are ready for but the FG through the NNPC is not yet ready .....maybe financial contraints don't know (49 % shareholding no be here oo....Its a huge money but I feel dat NNPC is capable...there may be political undertone to it)...Moreso for the BRASS LNG project ....though somewhere working now..Personally Travelled to bayelsa about mid last year back wen I was still unemployed looking for opportunities desperately jst after NYSC.. To Ekpoama particularly in Twon brass the location of the project mehnn it was frustrating.....a huge massive land for the project BUSH BUSH evry where.. Infact two communities in which the Project land cut across where still having disputes over the boundary of the land seeing the huge project coming that notin has really started....notin much just heard some geological contractors have done mapping of the site to acertain the suitability of the LNG project...could remember I saw HYUNDAI site with there heavy equipments as contractors for the project. BUT SERIOUSLY NOTIN IS REALLY HAPPENING!!...MAYBE TILL NOW DONT KNOW seeing also the pulling out of Conoco Phillips from the project which is the shareholder that is the major sponsor of the Technical expertee with there industry partner that will deliver a very recent LNG technology planned for the project.....Things are not really moving fast in the Industry its disheartening. The upshot of the PIB is anoda issue with various lacunas in the bill...though it has positive aspects but the negative impact in the industry outweighs due to the High effective tax rate on the profit of major industry players at the end of the day as compared to the present regime of the petroleum profit tax act....This is a major reason for slow investments in the industry to finance projects as investors are really scared of what to expect as our political and regulatory framework is really unstable.....OIL N GAS PROJECT FUNDS NO BE SMALL MONEY OOO....that is the reason for the JOINT VENTURES....which NLNG is an example i.e an EQUITY JOINT VENTURE. Consequently that's why the delay In the passing of the PIB.....FREINDS I must say the Oil and Gas industry truly needs revolution and reformation which will start from me....WHO IS ON MY SIDE...LOLZZZZZ...
Ladies u can take ds ur gist to d bedroom pls.....

a1ok: I call it "covering all the bases". You don't wanna blank out if a question like that comes up (and they do come up!). It's not necessary to know about the topics from end to end but I would advise against cluelessness. HSE is key in the industry for everyone, your field notwithstanding. I guess the rest of it would apply more to the business/finance people, which happens to be my area.
Also do well to note key operative terms in my post..."some" and "may". But then again, this is by no means an "NLNG AC syllabus", just friendly advice.
Aii.. welcome back to earth man.....

artmedia: Hey,
It is definitely going to be an assessment centre, and as for what to expect, no one can say really as it is common knowledge that the last graduate recruitment was in 2007. Times have changed definitely. Then they were receiving invites in DHL parcels, now its all electronic- So easily the format used then might have changed. Nonetheless, one still has to spread his tentacles and prepare as much as one can.
Surely you have read some posts earlier talking about group exercises, case study presentations and behavioural-based interviews - the brains here even dissected the 2007 questions that were asked in posts earlier. So in addition to that, just read up on the company, and generally build up your confidence level. One can never really prepare for these things. Be yourself on the day, and let your natural abilities shine through. follow strict instructions on the day and we shall meet at the onboarding.
Shalom!
The above is absolutely nothing but the TRUTH.....

Impact456: Hi Everyone, Hi Dplacement
I observed on the 2007set tread that some persons already have the assessment centre document. This may not be the Exact! But as long as it was drawn by some1 with the AC experience, may be trying to put down all he remembered. it'll be helpful and also not bad to share!
Anyone with that strength? Please generously email to pe_solutions@yahoo.com
Thanks
I'm tryna understand ds post but correct me if I'm wrong...i don't tink anyone had d AC document on d 2k7 thread... N if ur referring to d question posted here, den it was afta d AC 4 2k7 dat dey new dose questions n nt before... Dats y Dplacement mentioned it ws d exact questions asked in 2k7...

But for d part of having d strength n sharing....

DPlacement: I have been asked to stop posting for fear of being seen as unfairly influencing the recruitment process.
I am here in a personal capacity and my views do not represent those of my employers.
I will answer 10 further questions before deactivating this account.
So far, only one person has succeeded in unmasking me. I cannot underestimate how much I appreciate that person's discretion.
After this, you are on your own.

autumnflower: i dont deny that fact, but why measure yourself up with someone from borno or kebbi when you are from delta? Your aim should be to edge out fellow deltans and not cry over the notherner. The fact is NLNG aint stupi.d. A quota system will be somthing like
Delta-5 or 6
Rivers-5 or 6
Lagos-4
Ogun-4
Borno-1

Jigawa-1
You get the drift? So if a lagos person dosnt get in, it czhes nit just good enough. And thats fact!
i get ur drift... Now get my drift...
Delta-5 or 6
Rivers-5 or 6
Lagos-4
Ogun-4
Borno-1
Jigawa-1

D quota system can b an adavantage or a disadv... Nw see what's messed up about it, d. Fact ur number 1 from ur state doesn't mean u get d job..d 5 or 6 for delta isn't necessarily the top 5, coz dt 1 slot for jigawa could be an engr n for delta 1st could b an engr, 2-5 could b economist, accountant n oda depts we hv... Jst cz dey have to pick d jigawa dude, dey'll dump d ass of d delta engr...I'm nt telling u what i tink... Its wat i know n hv seen from d Nigerian Navy... My pops works for d navy is one of d officers who goes to ph for dia screening exercise... D Navy one is sooo bad cz dey include local govt.. So for imo state for example if d top 3 r from orlu zone dey'll dump 2 n pick someone from okigwe zone or owerri zone... Babe d permutation is jst crazy... We have no idea... Its a slippery slope...d more u try, d more u slip... And as eddard stark says d man who passes d sentence, should swing d sword and blv me nlng would pass d sentence soon... lots swords would b swinging, lots of heads would roll... *tears*

You're a man.. Do the needful n man up to ur mistake, u'l get more respect for it..
Tens of millions of demons couldn't stop you coming in to this world, is it some quota system (which in my opinion is an inclusive system) that will stop you from getting what's yours?
No doubt NLNG GT is an opportunity but in the end it is what it is - AN opportunity, just one more opportunity for u guys to take aim at and fire ur best shot.
All the best.
the goddess of love, beauty and sexual rapture... If NLNG doesn't work out.. Take me to thy kingdom where men long to enter coz winter is coming and in ur arms is d safest place i know d white walkers will dare to com.

pabostt: cry cry........guys see how scarletdp has just rubbish my dear state: oyo state......this is indeed cry me a river ooo. No state is a champion oooo, infact Babs is from a village called Okoro Gbede in Kogi state. He rocks shell with his brillant mind and even rocking NLNG till today's date with his wonderful skills.
words from Babs' statement for those that comes from states that people look down on: you can be a lot more than me. The first thing is that, in your mind, you must overcome the natural barriers. Once you have that aspiration for a much stronger future, then it becomes about how you can overcome the challenges that you have. I have always believed that there is no impossibilities, and you have to have a mindset that you can overcome all impossibilities. These are words from Babs Omotowa.
Lol sorry bro... Was jst making a point wt east west north n south... No hard feelings bruv

kblaze111: some people say NLNG recruits purely on merit, "the best of the best". however,
quota and merit can never go together.
so some lagosian with a 95% score can actually be overlooked for a 32% from borno solely based on quota
this is WRONG. it is de-motivating and anti-excellence.
just look at the rubbish going on in unity school admissions based on common entrance.
#idey speak my mind # make of this what you wish.
its better to lose on merit than to lose on quota
i guess we should all do our best and leave the permutations to the NLNG team
Aint life a biatch...

Game of thrones would say anyone can die... Here we say anyone can be kicked out... U could b d best engr in ur state... Bt in borno der r only 2 candidates both engr bt ur state has accountants economics n all... Maybe one slot for engrs is left And dey have to pick from borno dey'll pick one engr from borno n dump ur ass for an accountant or economist... And dats where ds sayin comes to perfection... Its not of him dat willeth... (u no d rest)
