Fenerbahçe Women's Football Team has recruited Patricia del Carmen George, a left wing player who played in SC Sand, one of the German Frauen-Bundesliga teams last season, as part of the squad structure of the upcoming season.

Mustafa Kemal Danabas, Member of the Board of Directors responsible for Women's Football, was also present at the signing held at Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.

The 25-year-old Nigerian national team player will wear Fenerbahçe's jersey in the 2022/23 season.

Is Patricia George heading to Turkish Women Football League Clubside ??

it could possibly be big spending Fenerbahce WFC...

You're forgetting that both England and Netherlands were the hosts of both competitions and hosts usually have home advantage.

If Nigeria hosted WAFCON do you think Ayinde and Ajibade would have been sent off

Oh Please give this Woman the Credit she deserves...

Wining Euro with Netherland, England isn't a small thing, She took Netherland to the Final of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, Lost in the Quarter final to the US again on Penalty Shoot out at the 2020 Olympics...

She's a great Coach... Randy is not in her Class, Couple with other League trophies she has won in Netherland.

Please don't justify Randy's Failure

THE CHAMPIONS COACHES: Sarina Wiegman's Women Euro2022's triumph means 5 of the 6 newly-crowned continental champions have a woman in the dugout.

England: Sarina Wiegman

Brazil: Pia Sundhage

Papua New Guinea: Nicola Demaine

South Africa: Desiree Ellis

USA: Vlatko Andonovski

China: Shui Qingxia

USA Head Coach Andonovski is the only man among them..

isan:
Even if we hire pep we can't be on the same level with Germany, brazil and england we've never been in their level u can't blame waldrum for this

What I'm saying is, if you like have the best player, without a good coach it would amount to nothing, it is painful how low we're going to go

Randy Waldrum isn't in the Class of Sarina.. We have the Players that can Compete with and among the Best at the highest Level but no Coach..

Sarina wiegman has prove to the world that she's indeed a genius when it come to developing women football..

Her attacking brand of football is such a joy to watch..

Congratulations to her..
Congratulations to England..

It finally came home.

She took the risk and dropped England main Captain Steph Houghton 34yrs who wasn't fit enough after recovering from an injury.. if it's Nigeria now that's another Controversial storyline...

Any other manager would start Greenwood and Kelly but she kept them both on the bench, what an impact they’ve made. She is ice cold.

Sarina Wiegman is the first manager to lead two different nations to WIN the UEFA Women's Euros
Sarina Wiegman's record at the Euros:

▪️ 12 games
▪️ 12 wins
▪️ Won the European Championship with Netherlands (2017)
▪️ Won the European Championship with England

Netherland 2017: WWWWW
England 2022: WWWWW

She's done it back-to-back.

The Three Lionesses of England are champions of Europe! History has been made and they did it in front of the highest number of attendees for a UERO final, male or female

Their victory illustrates what can be achieved when talents meet a good coach. Sarina Wiegman took the Netherlands to EURO Victory and also the World Cup final. Then she was signed by England.

She has managed 20 games for England, won 18 and drew 2. She just won the EURO for England.

Her team has scored 106 goals and conceded just 5.

When I see what Sarina Wiegman has done with a talented England team, I get so angry because of what Randy Waldrum did to Falcons and destroyed their vision for a tenth title.

Not even the mighty Germany and Brazil have 9 continental titles. Brazil celebrated their 8th title on Saturday and Germany failed to make it 9.

Falcons remain one of the best teams in the world and one of the most decorated in the world. Unfortunately, NFF continue to waste the team's potential with shocking recruitment of coaches

Learn from the best, go for the best and watch Falcons fly

Randy Waldrum has lost to 5 Africa opponents... Highest record ever..

Ghana 1-0
South Africa 4-2
South Africa 2-1
Morocco 0-0(5-4) penalties
Zambia (1-0)

This is very poor of him against the African side..

He won only 7
Mali (0-2)
Ghana (0-2)
CIV (0-2)
CIV(0-1)
Botswana (0-2)
Burundi (0-4)
Cameroon (0-1)

This is an excerpt from an article recently released by Aljazerra.

Cynthia Uwak claims she was iced out if the team cause of the sexual preference. She also claims Ucharia Uche is a closeted lesbian. Interesting read.

A scapegoat
In 2004, aged just 18, Cynthia Uwak made her international debut for Nigeria; her performance instantly announced her as a star to watch out for.

The attacker was a key part of the Super Falcons’ runs at the 2004 and 2006 WAFCON and was adjudged Africa’s best player by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in 2006 and 2007. There was an unmistakable sense among pundits, industry insiders and fans that this was a player of truly historic.

However, as she turns 36 this July, she has gone close to 12 years since her last appearance for Nigeria.

After missing the 2010 WAFCON due to an injury, she was surprisingly dropped from the Super Falcons’ squad to the World Cup the following year. Aside from unsuccessful calls by members of the public to recall her to the national team in 2016, Uwak has simply vanished from the public eye.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, she said her exclusion from the national team was on account of her sexual preference. “Some of the best players were left out of the squad because they were practising lesbians,” she confirmed.“It was a long time ago, but it’s something I still remember because that was why I stopped playing in the national team

Cynthia Uwak and Perpetua Nkwocha

This two were on fire at the 2006 WAFCON in Nigeria...

If Uwak Score 2, Nkwocha go Score 1
The next game if Nkwocha Score 3 Uwak go Score 2, if Uwak Score 1 Nkwocha go Score 2

2006 AWCON
Uwak Scored 6
Nkwocha Scored 7

Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin performance at the U20 FIFA Women's World Cup in August will definitely decide how ready she's to lay claim to a Spot in the Superfalcon CB...

The battle for that one spot is between Demehin, Akudo Ogbonna, Onyinyechi Zogg

As long as Onome Ebi, Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre are the top3 CBs..

lovewins:
And most persons are sincerely not asking her to. Anyone who has followed Onome's career will want her to feature in the 2023 world cup as her last stint with the team. The argument for the most part has been for her to start from the bench.

Yeah she would definitely be on the plane to Australia/New Zealand but Starting game's is where i doubt but featuring for minutes and more Cap is certain...!

In a game that requires 3CBs the Coach would go for Onome in btw Ohale and Plumptre
The Coaches should be looking out for Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre at CB... With Onyinyechi Zogg, Akudo Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Blessing Demehin battling for the other CB spot...

isan:
You can't tell a player to retire just because she's old , if she's not good enough the coach should stop calling her

I didn't ask Onome Ebi to retire in my Statement, I only said Onome Ebi never ready to retire...

isan:
So why was Asisat stripped while pinnick is still president if she's really fighting for herself ? why didn't pinnick ordered the coach to give the band to Asisat since you believe pinnick control everything......and who would have in place of Ebi in the team ? her direct replacement is still with the u20

Ashleigh Plumptre was in brought in as a Successor to Onome Ebi position but Onome never ready to retire until after 2023 World Cup...

That 6th World Cup record is a Must ooooo

With the Current Superfalcons Squad going with the year they join the team this is the top 10 senior players

Players who have played Under Randy Waldrum

•Onome Ebi 2002/2003
•Faith Ikidi Michael 2003
•Rita Chikwelu 2006
•Tochukwu Oluehi 2006
•Osinachi Ohale 2010
•Desire Oparanozie 2010
•Fransisca Ordega 2010
•Ngozi Okobi 2010
•Asisat Oshoala 2013
•Halimatu Ayinde.... 2014

Danielnino00:
Are their voices bigger than that of Chikwelu, Oluehi,Okobi, Ayinde and Ohale who are also long term members of the team? Isn't Plumptree allegedly the vice captain? so she doesn't have a voice too?

Point of Correction, Ashleigh Plumptre is not the Vice Captain of the Superfalcons....

Fransisca Ordega is the Vice Captain, right from Asisat Oshoala tenure till date...

WAFCON: Mercy Akide-Udoh admits Super Falcons have lost unbeatable status

Following a 4th place finish at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations -WAFCON in Morroco , Legendary Super Falcons striker Mercy Akide-Udoh has admitted the Nigerian ladies no longer look unbeatable in the eyes of other African countries.

Akide , a winner of three African Women’s cup of Nations titles believes this is down to the growth of women’s football in Africa which has reached a level that ” Everyone now believes they can beat Nigeria .”

At the 2022 WAFCON, Nine time Champions Nigeria were defeated On penalties by hosts Morroco in the Semi Final before falling to a 1-0 third place match loss to Zambia .

” The Competition is growing and other countries are catching up. Everybody now believes they can beat Nigeria , ” Akide stated via BBC Sport Africa.
Just seeing Morroco with what they have done and the investment they’ve made, i think women’s football and a lot of countries will learn from it , ” Akide continued.

” When I see those countries that are investing , if you give it four or five years, it is going to be amazing , i am so grateful that i am still alive to see what CAF is doing for women’s football . ”

” The quality from my time to now is getting better. South Africa have come so far and I give kudos to my friend Desiree (Ellis) for what she has done for that team . Looking at the Morroco team the coach ( Reynald Pedros ) has done an amazing job. ” Mercy Akide concluded.
46 year old Akide was a part of the Super Falcons team that won the African Women’s Championship titles in 1998, 2000 and 2022 .

Married to veteran Journalist Collins Udoh, Mercy Akide-Udoh also represented Nigeria at three FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments.

Despite a difficult tournament in Morroco , Nigeria’s Super Falcons did enough to secure a 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ticket courtesy of a 1-0 Quater final win over Cameroon.

Nigerian’s have been critical of the performance of the Super Falcons under Randy Waldrum with a section calling for his replacement with one of the former Super Falcon players with Akide’s teammate Florence Omagbemi top of the list of suggestions .

Maybe you will also include Ifeoma Onumonu as one of the Players to get rid of because she's 28yrs...

Desire Oparanozie (28yrs)
Ngozi Okobi (28yrs)
This two Ladies still have at least 5 years of top flight football to play except they decides to retire early...

You're calling this two old, what will you call the likes of;

Onome Ebi 39yrs
Rita Chikwelu 34yrs
Tochukwu Oluehi 35yrs
Yewande Balogun 32yrs

AkinDS:
Nigerians are an interesting lot.

On Vicki...
You need to realize the Spanish FA will NEVER give up on a precocious talent like Vicky, and will do EVERTHING and ANYTHING to make sure she plays for Spain.
Don't waste your time - Nigeria is not a serious enough country and does not offer her anything. The opportunity to get her has passed. Sorry.
The focus should be on Onyenezide as the next playmaker. She has all the ingredients and lets hope she is able to showcase that at the U20 WWC.

On Rinsola...
Rinsola turned 24 this past June so she is out of the U23 set up. She is also not a part of the England Lionesses. Not sure where yall are getting your intel from, but she has yet to be approached by our FA and is not opposed to playing for Nigeria.

On getting a more productive team...
Solution is crystal clear - get rid of the Fabulous Four (Onome, Okobi, Chikwelu and GodMother Oparanozie).
They are (and will continue to be) the root cause of the current problems in the Super Falcons. I would never understand why Nigerians are so fixated on old players way past their prime and usefulness to the team, both on and off the field, but would be scared of wanting to move forward with younger players who are more than capable and have a brighter future ahead of them. It seems to be in our DNA that we always feel comfortable with everything Old - Players, Politicians, everything!
That is why the country is (and will continue to be) stuck in the past.

As for the individual beef between Players Ngozi Okobi have no hand in it?
I wonder why you especially is calling her out....

It's obvious there's a beef between Oparanozie and Oshoala. But this doesn't mean that Oparanozie, Okobi are the team problem....

If you stand with Ebi and Rita retiring fine...

Get rid of this and that, I don't even understand you at all..

Which proof do you have that Okobi and Oparanozie are the problems in the Superfalcon team

We know Onome Ebi and Rita Chikwelu are old already and they need to retire as soon as possible, if possible now

Our Attack, Rasheedat doesn't have any business in that Midfield again except if we find ourselves in a situation that would need her there.....

Ajibade can be our Megan Rapineo who's known for her playmaking, Assist and Scoring.

Desire Oparanozie
Asisat Oshoala
Ifeoma Onumonu
Rasheedat Ajibade
Esther Okoronkwo
Uchenna Kanu
Fransisca Ordega

The rest below should be the next option if any of the above name ain't available
Monday Gift
Vivian Ikechukwu
Chinwendu Ihezuo
Roosa Ariyo
Maclean's Chinonyerem
Anam Imo
The current U20 strikers should be given some look...

Rinsola Babajide still look like someone who isn't certain about her international Career yet... As she's currently with the England U23 set up.
Eyes on Vicky Lopez

We need to play more of Shot Passes, In quick pace and high pressing as we have the energy to do so ....

In the Midfield we already have Younger and hungry Players like Christy Ucheibe, Peace Efih and co...

Rita Chikwelu have no business in that Midfield again she should retire.. But if Randy want to Continue keeping her which i know too well that he would do, she should remain on the Bench or better still come in at exactly 90+ to add to her Caps only when necessary not even in tough games..

Blend the Ayinde- Ucheibe -Okobi trio together and work on their positioning, ball exchange and retention not those overdosed long balls... Let Otu and Efih be their substitute, bring in Attacking Midfielder like Chinaza Uchendu who's already at her best though she's currently playing for one of the biggest Club in South Korea... Look into the Current U20 set up for more options..

Short Passes gives us better Scoring opportunities, instead of Long balls that would leave the Likes of Onumonu, Oshoala, Oparanozie chasing and getting tired, Play Simple and short Passes that will get our opponents out of position.

It's always difficult to play against a team that knows how to keep the ball and make the right passes, We have the Players to execute it and probably do the high press. We need to work on it for the World Cup,

As for me I don't believe in Randy Waldrum anymore. Long balls method has done no good to us but they keep playing that way. I'm very certain is the Coaches instructions to play long balls more.. we know how to build from the back, we just need refining...

If Randy Waldrum Continues as Coach, it's for him and his Coaching crew to analyze our performance at the WAFCON and get rid of this Long ball approach...

I had to take my time to re watch their matches at the just concluded WAFCON..

Few things I will point out first is for Randy Waldrum to settle the Defense position...

Bring in Patricia George who's very quick, strong, skillful and a beautiful full back to the Left as she's uses both feets effectively
Since Randy prefers Nicole Payne more at Left Back...

Let the Competition for Left Back spot be between Patty and Nicole..

At Center Back Onome Ebi should be seated out on the Bench... She's already 39yrs, she can offer the needed experience from the Bench since we already have Ashleigh Plumptre who's a better ball playing center Back and can carry the ball very well from the back..

Ohale 30yrs will definitely get better with Ashleigh at the Back playing together..

Get two Younger CBs to understudy Ohale and Ashleigh ( Zogg, A Ogbonna, Demehin)

Randy hasn't find a Natural Right Back yet, Why not make that spot a tough competition between Alozie and Tony Payne.. let their two fight that spot since he doesn't want to move either of them to the Attack and Midfield..

Leave out Glory Ogbonna from the team as she hasn't done anything yet to keep inviting her..
