Hello everyone,
Can you please advise on the PTE Academic Exam? How easy is it to score at least 65 in Speaking or Writing? Is it better than IELTS? Please share your experience. Ferdimako, How did your exam go? |

Hello Guys,
Solomonwis, I have a question please. Under EE, can one switch to another closely related NOC if you feel you stand better chances of nomination? I mean if your duties for the same period in the same company also include duties of another NOc, can you select that other one instead. your prompt answer will be appreciated.
For guys like Damkollins, Pickabeau, Bwave and the rest who are familiar with my process, My fresh application was received on Dec 11, 2014, but i am yet to be charged. Even though CIC have started charging Dec 15 applications for other NOCs (like 2172), my NOC was charged last on Jan 21st (for Nov 12 applications). Though by my analysis, it is unlikely that my NOC has been capped since the number was put at 777 on Dec 16. What do you think? What is happening? |

okdyn2001: hello house, I NEED HELP
I applied for the federal skill immigration programme since November 2014 before the new programm; express entry. up till now i have not got any response from the immigration office neither has my application fee $550 has been deducted from my acct. Its almost 3 months now and this has got me worried. Does it take so long before one gets response? I will like some clarification if anyone had experienced this.
Regards, okdyn2001 Hello okdyn2001, As long as you NOC isn't among the capped (or almost capped) NOC's or 2172, i don't think you need to worry. Although, i know its easier said than done. I personally feel CIO has changed their methodology a bit, alternating between issuing PERs in large numbers and charging applications in large numbers. They seem to be charging applications by NOC. 2172 is getting a lot of attention at the moment. This is my personal opinion though based on the global spreadsheet ans other forums. By the way, what is your NOC? |

sevule: Hi Guys
I just checked my mail and saw my PER. I sent in my application on the 9th of October and my account was debited December 18, 2014. Just like Solomonwis said it is being done in batches so if your account has been debited you would most likely receive your PER soon Meritl: With the gladdest heart, I announce the arrival of the much-awaited e-mail containing a PER; just when I planned calling the CIO to try and get my UCI.
Timeline: 1. Application received at the CIO on the 14th of October,2014. 2. DD was en-cashed on the 18th of December, 2014. 3. PER on the 19th of January, 2015. I am grateful to you all for the assistance, most importantly Ferdimako, Damollins, and the great Solomonwise. Big Congratulations to you both. Looking forward to more good news from this house. |

LadyGuinivere: I no know who be KAS o! But bros werrin I for do? Go ghana go beat them? Is there anything I ought to do now pray tell me, let me do it now! Not at all! I was actually complimenting you, maybe i could have expressed myself much better. That's why i said 'patience is the game'. It is the hardest part of the application process, when you do not know what lies ahead having done all you need to do. To say you have spine is to say that you have a lot of courage seeing that you are not giving up on the process, which is another admirable quality. Trust me, we all learn from experiences of one another. |

Hello, Please be assured that your application is in queue for review. Thank you, Immigration section - KAS
Na wa o! Meanyl my paddy when we apply together de canada already! Ok o! Let me keep on waiting. Btw will the email ginger them to attend to the file now? This is really surprising. Lady Guinivere, you have a lot of spine to have been this patient even when others have gone much further. Really patience is the game but i doff my hat for you still. By the way, what does KAS stand for? Solomonwis, Damkollins could this delay be attributed to "background checks"? Kindly elucidate. |

DaRocha: Dear all, please now that we have submitted our applications, will CIC send us a mail acknowledging receipt? Or what will they do and when? I also observed that they are yet to update their website on whether more caps have been reached. Someone should assist. If you have chosen to pay your fees by credit (debit) card, a debit on your account is the first indication that your application has been received. However., the first official indication of your received application is a Positive Eligibility Review sent to your email approximately 10-15 days after the debit. |

zandora: Hi please I need people's take on my application. My application has been sitting in Quebec for almost 24hrs and I've now been informed via Fedex that the expected delivery date is on Friday 02 of January. Please does anyone know what my chances are now? Thanks a lot! ayeshahsan: I got my ECA completed from WES today... The report is being shipped
Are their any chances of extension of this program if the cap remains unfilled ??
I am so disppointed and sad Zandora, Ayeshahsan i enjoin you to be optimistic irrespective of the outcome. Zandora's app may still sail through. Ayeshahsan, i believe your dissapointment may end up in double blessing. Make the best of this express entry regime especially since you have the documents required. As Solominwis advised the best time to act is now, experience has shown that the first ones get speedy processing probably faster than the apps received this year. Overall, my take is that you take the positives and use it to your advantage, never back down. |

NNBB2012: You can check the SOL list to know your ANZCO code. You must have related experience in your nominated occupation. Visit Australia Engineer website and check the right format for your CDR. CDR is basically your own work experience on your job, academic project or any project you have carried out. Your own involvement on the project etc. Read the guideline carefully on Australia Engineer website. Don't stress yourself as such on the CDR, just address only the segments you are suppose to cover and you will be fine. Thanks NNBB2012. I have consulted the SOL and the list on engineers Australia. Traditionally, Instrumentation is a field under Electrical & Electronics Engineering, but i'm in a dilemma as the classification is too decentralized. As per the CDR, can i get a sample from someone. Of course, i will write mine but it wouldn't hurt to see what one looks like. Thanks

Fummiee: And please can I use my regular naira debit card from zenith bank? And also how do I pay please do I have to tog on to WES site. Kindly assist please.
Thank you. Have you made any online payments with the card before? If you have, you may be able to use it, if in doubt, check with your bank. First of all, make sure your account is on the dedicated FSWP portal. Some people encountered difficulties because of this http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/When you log in to your account, on the right side you will see a link "pay fees". Click it and you will be given an option to pay with your card. Kindly note that after paying you may have to wait for a few hours (or even a day) before your account is debited. All the best. |
