bossladymo1: Yes, you can sponsor her under the 489 FS, but her occupation will need to be on the CSOL.
The possibility of she getting an employer sponsor her is low. 457 visas dont come easy.
Why can't she just apply for PR straight up? SA sponsors customer service I think. erictack203: SA Sponsors CS, they just opened it afresh this July. It was indicating "Red" all the while and they updated it to "green". We also intend to apply for my wife. A lot of new Occupations currently opened in SA list. Thanks Bossladymo1, ericktack. i even found out that CS is not eligible for Labour Market testing required for 457. Ericktack, what i see on SA CSOL is CS Manager 149212 and Call or Contact Manager 149211. Also does a degree in Biology (a different field) not matter? |

bossladymo1: I hope prospective students know that just getting a student visa does not lead to PR. It has to be a course on the critical skills list. scrollmeout: Hello people,
Student visa processing is not as straightforward as PR processing which I'm much more used to. I intend to help my younger sister secure admission in an Australian university, preferably in NSW in a course with some promise. She is 28 and single with almost 3 years experience as a Customer Service Officer and a first degree in Biology. Please Is it possible to sponsor her for PR later on, when I may have settled successfully? Can an Australian employer obtain a long stay visa? Do you think it's a workable plan? I've read some posts about TAFE and SVP but I do not understand how they work. Thanks The exact reason for my earlier post. Bossladymo1. Can u elucidate on its viability please? |

@bosslady:pertaining to the visa subclass 189,190,489 for PR, does it mean one needs 60 points to qualify for 189 visa, and you dont need upto 60 points to qualify for invite to apply for the 190,489 visas? in other words, are the points required for the subclass visas different?

ewagbamio: Hi @all Please who has done Notarization of documents in any court in port harcourt? I have used private lawyers in the past and the price is quite steep, usually 5k per page . Now that the courts are open and I have a lot of docs to notarize, about 30 pages in all I believe it'l be cheaper doing it in the high courts.
I'll be grateful if anybody who has done it in Ph or it environs can volunteer info on how he/she went about it
It doesn't have to be the courts, if anybody know any affordable Notary Public in Rivers State, please kindly state it here. Can't go throwing ~30*5k away just for notarization alone
Thanks in advance My bossom friend notarized his documents@ the federal high court, azikiwe road ph. You can haggle the price as it depends on the number of docs you have. He spent about 20k on hundreds of pages. I have the woman's number. You can send me a pm, as I don't want to get banned for posting her details. Ask of Mrs Ngozi Chukwu |

I used BCIE at Aba road, I didn't used an agent, I registered online with a total of 38k from PTE website using my ATM card, after 2days, they will place a refund of about 1k. The results are out within 5 business days.
Pls accept my apologies again. No worries, thank you for responding. I paid 36,800 for the test at the same venue. |

The test was scheduled fr sat 2pm and I got there by 11am and met the office locked, had to start calling the man to remind him of the exam. When he finally came, he just told me that I wont be able to take d exam because their system has been down since thursday. I was so disappointed and had to write an official complaint to pte. Although my exam ws rescheduled, I was nt paid the expenses I incured due to their negligence of not informing me of their challenges. Thanks, I registered with BCIE. Sorry for your bad experience. |

chuckdee13: we being assessed by engineers australia unfortunately cant write PTE, so we're at the mercy of IELTS. heard that DIBP takes only what ur assessing body requires. u guys r lucky @chuckdee13. To avoid misleading others, I advise u post or at least reference the source of n your information on matters like this. There is no such rule that DIBP only accepts what ur assessing body accepts. If you read the msa booklet and the FAQs I posted on this thread, all these issues were addressed. Bro, please take time to read and don't be in a hurry to conclude. Immigration takes a lot of care and attention to detail to succeed. EA guidelines state that they only accept IELTS band 6 on all four abilities. DIBP affirm take the final decision on your language ability, they only assess you on your skills assessment as obtained from the relevant body. When it comes to language ability, you present any of the results as stated on imm.gov.au website. If EA accepts only IELTS, that's their kettle of fish not DIBP's. Give each of them what is due and you'll be fIne. I hope this helps. |

Ifexsco, I am with @ewagbamio, bossladymo1 and co on this one. I didn't get this this far in life by lazying around, i prepare for anything i undertake! I prepared for 2 months for my first IELTS, same for the others. I have the preparatory materials you mentioned and more. The reason i was confident enough to apply for a remark is that i was fortunate enough to see and prepare for the essay 2 question the night before my exam. I found the questions on www.ieltsbuddy.com. They have a compilation of most of all the questions in IELTS question bank, it was just by chance that the last essay i wrote before i went to sleep was what came out in he exam. I had all the points in my head, all i had to do was articulate them on a piece of paper! Guess what? same 'ol same 'ol. I wont dwell too much on this topic but i'd rather pray to God for guidance so my PTE result can do the "talking". http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/231707-ielts-v-s-pearson-test-english-academic-pte-academic-my-personal-findings.htmlo |

I then waited 24 hrs, just for formalty, then gave them a ring. The nice Lady added my daughter in a matter of mins, and sent her HapId in an email. bossladymo1: We were in the same shoes.
Hold up on your meds till after baby is born. If you are granted before baby is born, you will need to file a child's visa....and that is long tin, especially as it is offshore.
I know someone whose child was born in the US after pr was granted. The boy is here on his US passport, but the parents still need to file a child's visa.
I did my baby's passport 8 days after she was born, and meds was done at 2 weeks of age or so. No biggie. Just tell the CO you need more time because of the pregnancy.
Whatever it is you do, ensure your child is not born in Naija without being a dependent on your visa. If he was born onshore, after PR, he would be a citizen.
And no, you cant add an unborn child qs a dependent. H/she has no name, sex or birth date yet. Thanks a million Bossladymo for the wealth of information. I just found out that too, that child visa 102 na real long thing. I'll do the needful when it is time. However, that means you updated your application to include the baby just before the med test. Please what is the name of the form? @chuckdee13, thanks for wishing me well too God bless your hustle...on to the next! |
