mamajaz: Skills Occupation List with the corresponding Assessing Authorities I think Bellong already explained the general process. Nursing is on SOL and CSOL for most states. Your assessing body is ANMAC . You are required to have 7.0 or equivalent in all bands In IELTS for Registered Nurse category. Check the ANMAC website for more details. The SOL link is https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/SOL ANMAC: http://www.anmac.org.au If you are considering state nomination, I advise you contact the state directly as it is somewhat faster. Check the CSOL of each state/territory. |
doyen06:Well you can try the easiest option first. Speak with your bank (s) to see if they can raise your daily limit without necessarily raising your quarterly limit of $1k. Also try to see if you can split your payments, I'm not familiar with ACS though. |
doyen06:Seeing the current card transfer limits, it is very likely the amount you are trying to pay is above your card limit. As of now, the default limit per card is USD1000 per quarter, and USD300 per day. How much are you trying to pay? |
bellong:Hi Bellong, Good idea to start a new thread dedicated to PR hopefuls. @Scrollmeout reporting for duty. a little busy trying to make the move, but i'll try me best irrespective |
ENGRJCJ:It depends on which mail you are referring to? Did IOM Nigeria send you a form? After your inquiry mail, they send you a Case Detail Form to fill your details, your class of visa, and attach documents as earlier stated. After that, they acknowledge receipt and inform you that it takes as long as 2 WEEKS to send you a quote. @abekeade1, I suspect the reason IOM suspended concessions to students at the time was because of limited slots during the peak period in January and February when Australian schools resume. I suggest you make enquiries now that demand has declined slightly. |
ENGRJCJ: IOM australia is not quick to respond all the time. Lagos responded to my initial request within one working day. In any case IOM australia will still contact the lagos office when you have to pay for your tickets IOMAustralia@iom.int |
ENGRJCJ:Here you go! iomlagosops@iom.int |

Ericktac203, since you shared your news with me , my family and I have never ceased thanking God for you. You spoke wisely, good things come to those who work for it. If you don't, you probably won't appreciate it. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. |
samge:No need to be worried. The time frame is 7 working days nd not just 1 week. If you don't get an email from them, I advise you call them on phone. They will have to give you a reason for the delay |
Hello NNBB2012 I left u a pm |
tyot:Yes it is true. You have to notify DIBP of your wife's pregnancy BEFORE the visa grant. You may have to include her pregnancy report. |
Thanks everyone for your congratulatory messages. ^^^^^Bellong, I sent you a mail. Kindly acknowledge pls. |
samge:Depends if you are in Lagos or Abuja. This response is for tests taken at Fatayi Williams Lagos. All adults above 18 years of age will do all 3 tests above at the cost of 30k, 5.2k and 6k respectively. Children 2 yrs and above will do 501-medical exam at 20k and TBT at 6k respectively. Lastly babies/infants under 2yrs of age will do 501 test alone at 20k. The results will then be sent to Global Health Sydney in 7 working days, you will receive a mail to that effect. Finally DIBP will be advised on the outcome btw 1-3 working days. Note that chest xray are taken at St Nicholas hospital, Lagos |

jorgan:Congratulations Jorgan |
jorgan:do you have a Gmail or Dropbox account |
mozo:To buttress your point, @7Alexander take a look at these special conditions relating to this ANZSCO code: http://www.migration.sa.gov.au/skilled-migrants/state-nominated-occupation-lists#7753f387-8d60-4182-b190-dfcc803c5734 http://www.migration.sa.gov.au/skilled-migrants/nomination-process/skilled-nomination-requirements/supplementary-skilled-list-and-special-conditions-apply |
DeeTus:Why are you here exactly? Guide who? Be guided Mr Guider! You hop into a moving vehicle and you suddenly feel you have earned the right to dictate direction? ![]() Mr Man or Woman, this is not the Romance section. You are being missed there. |
richnet:Your panel clinic/physician conducts the tests offshore. However, the results are reviewed to determine if further tests are required. That's why the results were forwarded to Global Health, Sydney. Sorry, BUPA is responsible for this for onshore clients. In any case, it's nothing to be worried about |
richnet:your medical case has been referred to BUPA who will review it and make a decision. Don't worry , give it 2 - 3 working days. You will be advised on what to do should you need to, nothing you can do about it frankly. |
jorgan: Okay. Thanks @jorgan. I guess it's time I called in a few favors then. |
bellong:.Thanks |
Quick question guys. Pls can anyone confirm if it is indeed true that banks no longer issue form A for school fees. I saw a related article on front page but I'm not sure that that info is correct. Nothing helpful on the internet |
magastefan:I usually just ignore posts like this but I l'll make an exception.Just check last 3 pages (234 & 235) and you'll find out why. Don't you think this should be a question for your school? |
okpas12:Thank God. Big Congrats!!! , brother and friend @Okpas12. Well what can i say, if you wish others well and do right by them, favour will come your way too. I'm happy you took the bold step to accompany me on this journey. Even though i helped in my own little way, you took charge, did your research and followed through. Sometimes i even call you to consult. Big Congrats, Oga Bellong, thank you and wish you favour in all your endeavours. @ping2k5,@ericktak203, @ifexsco, we shall overcome! |
@jorgan, need I say more? You have been enlightened by the boss himself. I'd just like to add that there are at least 3 different subclasses for general skilled migration 189, 190 and 489. To qualify you need at least 60points (189) or 55 points for 190 and 50 points for 489. Your occupation and/or education must be listed in SOL for 189 and CSOL for 190/489 Try your best to have the end in view --what you want to study- for how long-what opportunities does it provide after study- In all, do you research and pray about it. All the best! |
jorgan:The decision is yours, examine your case critically whether you'll need the additional points or not if you have PR in view after studies. The two year study only makes you eligible for the additional points |
