You can hate the civilized world's treatment of men and dislike certain laws in other jurisdictions. There is no contradiction.

I was spurred to react because I'm a humanist. The Battle of the Sexes has derailed our civilization but in societies that have struck a healthier balance, there is always the danger of going off the ledge.

For the love of all things sacred, I cannot see the benefit of creating a society where 50% of adults can't perform a simple arithmetic. Maybe you think our current civilization runs on fairy dust.

I recently watched a documentary on China's rise to becoming one of the world's primary tomato paste producers even though it isn't generally part of their diet. The CCP moved poor people from the hinterlands to the tomato fields to pick tomatoes at pennies per bag working double-digit hours per day. A man and his wife working side by side. When she returns home (a makeshift tent) she'll still perform virtually all of the manual housework. That's one of the unseen hands behind China's rise, behind the cheap loans they can offer to Africa for our infrastructural renaissance.

That is not an oddity mind you. Gender roles are clearly defined in China, as in the rest of Asia, and 70+% of the planet. So why f*ck with education when you have a traditional society with strict social pressures? Qatar, the richest country by GDP per capita in the Middle East just hosted a world cup. Zero unemployment amongst citizens. Their women can comfortably outspend 80% of African men. Adult literacy rate is 97%. The gender ratio in post-secondary education is 5:1 in favor of women. And yet men run the country entirely. There are strict male guardianship laws and rules. Strict dress code. But ask any well traveled person about the shopping habits of Qatari women. The kind of cars they drive or are driven in. Their lives are just as opulent as Western women, but without the debauchery.

This is why I called the Taliban ban on educating females excessive. Because clearly, and has been proven in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, you can have a trad patriarchal society with educated women who are for the most part satisfied with their quality of life.

Now, I understand the sentiments about not fighting for Afghan women. But we're intellectuals here having a debate about the societal effect of blanket rules as is our natural imperative. Men are custodians of the planet and if we can point out the idiocy of misandrist policies in the West, we can at least acknowledge the problematic complications of certain ill-advised policies in the Global South. That should not be misconstrued as White Knighting.

There is, it is called frustration from the bear market wotowoto . Some people might have put their life savings in BTC, so calling for 14k is painful. It is now, even more painful when the price is now so close to hitting there. That said, anybody calling for long term buying at this point is either a scalper or a very wicked man.
My two cents - best to stay away from the market for the next 4-5 weeks before reconsidering whether to buy or not. Market structure changes within 3-5 bars of any asset rising or falling.
