Use your brain if you have one and it us working.

Collecting a percentage of tax irrespective of effort it took to receive it is unfair.
It doesn't take more effort to receive a N100m tax than a N1m tax.
Use your brain make research, other states are using the service of consultants, but you have issues because it is lagos... FG has been using remita for years.

OP would prefer the situation in states like Anambra, Oyo, Bayelsa where thugs are the ones collecting revenue on behalf of the government.

WHAT IS FCT? A SPECIAL DESIGNATION STATUS , SEPARATE FROM THE REGULAR NIGERIAN STATE LIKE OYO STATE, ONDON STATE ETC.

THE WINNER OF THE ELECTION ALWAYS WIN FCT AND THAT IS A GIVE AWAY THAT OBI WON.

ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS WON THE FCT.

Where do you get all these your infantile ideas from. It really baffles me. How can you compare a political contest with voters that voted their candidate and saying they will defend their candidates victory, that was given to that candidate by the voters, with spectators watching sport for entertainment.
You have time for those guys. They think with their anus.

Read and understand. The act requires parties to submit list of memebers 30 days before primaries. But the act also does not stop new members from joining any party even after submitting the list of members. Capiche?
Can a party sponsor a candidate that his name is not on the register submitted to Inec?

Oga that Obi petitioned ApC before the petition closing window of 21 days elapse, they couldn't file a counter petition on or before the day Obi submitted his petition, why did you think Obi waited the last minute to file his own. Bat should file a counter petition to what OBi filed not looking for rubbish that won't fly.
Fish brain. It’s okay for Obi to file the last day but wearing for Tinubu to do same.

this matter has been treated before and the court ruled that Obi is a legitimate candidate of Labor Party and its going to stand in this case. Obi Legal team have evidence on polling unit bases, you are just ignorant of the fact.
The case you referenced is not about election, this is asking if the LP followed the laid down rules.

Can you point any fault in the petition raised by Obi and Labour Party?
Number 1 fault is that Obi and his lawyers didn’t present each polling unit results in states that they are challenging, results that are different from what INEC upload.
Mind you the Constitution and Electoral act gave Inec the power to choose any guidelines she deem fit at any time.

Common sense should tell you that the three months I put there is in reference to the period between the election and the swearing-in date. That's Feb to May.
You’re the one arguing wrongly, you can’t count when the election was held. You start counting the 180 days from the day the petition was filed. Tribunal will be done in September then the losing party will file appeal at the Supreme Court within 14 days, the 60 days will start counting when the appeal is filed at the Supreme Court.
unfortunately for you and your likes Tinubu will be president from May till December when the Supreme Court will deliver judgement

Oga it's only LP that can file a petition to that, nothing concern APC with this. They should focus on their druglord case. This isn't even a counter petition, it would be thrown out of the window.
In your myopic reasoning APC can’t petition the election tribunal that Obi is not a qualified LP candidate, but Obi can meddle into APC nominations by saying someone is not qualified to run.

The game is getting interesting. I cannot wait for the full litigation to commence.

APC is making this appeal about Peter Obi. If the party agrees to pick him as the presidential candidate with unopposed candidates, then why should that be the concern of APC?

Besides, political parties win elections in Nigeria, not individuals. They didn't react to the claim that Bola Tinubu is an ex-druglord. I guess they intentionally ignored it or reporter didn't mention it.
The electoral act says he must be a member of the party minimum of 30 days.

APC have valid points also. But will it be enough to dismiss the case. Time will tell
In law you can’t build something on nothing. If APC can argue their case to a logic point, the tribunal will have no choice. As it stands now Obi’s name is not on the LP register submitted to Inec 30 days before the primary election.

Finally they have come with their watery defense.

Now, let the trials begin.

Meanwhile, I join well meaning Nigerians to call for expedited hearing of the case. We should have a ruling before May 25th at the latest.

We can’t let Tinubu to be sworn in and hope that he’d let the courts be impartial.

We, sane Nigerians, say NO to a drug lord as our president.

Only criminals, thieves, idiots and vagabonds would want a drug lord as their president.

Modified:

After going through the post, I can confirm that APC’s defense is not even qualified to be called watery.

First, no defense was entered for Tinubu’s drug case🤣

Second, they accused Labour of holding their Primaries on May 30th, outside of INEC timetable but the same party held their convention on 6th of June. Is that not madness?

Third, on Obi not being the member of Labour at the time of primaries, neither the constitution nor the Electoral Act says that “a party shall sponsor a candidate ‘who is a member of that party’ in an election”. What the constitution and Electoral Act says is that for one to contest an election, he must be sponsored by a political party. Nothing was said of whether the person belongs to the party or not.

Again, there’s something called waiver. It’s the inalienable right of a political party to accept a member today and relax her rules and constitution to grant such member all rights and privileges enjoyed by those who have been in the party for years. Nobody or court has right to question that.

APC has no case. And I don’t expect anything different from Tinubu’s lawyers too. This is the reason they resorted to attacks and propaganda against Peter Obi.

The stolen mandate shall be returned.

Seanfer
Obi joined LP outside the timeframe of the electoral act provision.
I believe you know the right thing but the hatred in you won’t make you say the truth.

There was resource control before the first coup of 1966. The regions were doing well with their resources and development is everywhere until Aguinyi Ironsi introduced decree 4 and a unitary government because some people from a particular part of the country will benefit from it, now nobody should complain.

Thats how they work, they have vast network and resources to bribe people across to fight themselves.

There's a subsisting judgment by an Edo state high court preventing the removal of LP's chairman pending the determination of the case yet an Abuja high court afterwards gave a conflicting judgment removing him but the police prefers the later judgment instead of the first judgment when both courts are of coordinate jurisdiction. Who controls the police?
The Abuja court order came first.
