Those things add up.

True.... but why so much thuggery and extortions from motorist in the south?

the basic reason why a market is in place is buying and selling, it is not more than that, for tourists attraction, that is why the zoo and the artifacts center is being built, no one takes his friends to a market because of aesthetic purposes, enough with the no market talk, it is a cliche and it is boring already.

These markets that look like 2 by 2 are sufficiently over thirty to forty in Benin city, along Siluko Road alone, they are about 5, that would make up for the gigantic size of whatever you have in your place, that is what I mean by it is replete. Insofar, as my friend gets what he is going to the market to get, I repeat again no one cares about its aesthetic purpose.

It's not about being business conscious like Igbos. Building a mordern Markets in Benin would've been parts of infrastructural development in the town. Apart from buying and selling, markets also serve as tourist destination to strangers who come to the City.

If your friend visit you from abroad, na which market for Benin you go carry am to? Na Santana wey be like 2by2, abi na Ekiosa wey potopoto full everywhere, abi na New Benin wey market women dey shade Ugu leaves and other things on the bare floor?

Remember, all those markets wey I mentioned no fine, they are not standard and they were engulfed by fire in the past

Hello nairalanders, I'm from Eastern Nigeria (Anambra state) pricisely. Was born and brought up in the north, Niger State!

I don't really know why things are too expensive in the southern part of Nigerian than the north.

I don't even like coming home sometimes (east) due to the unnecessary high cost of living in the southern region.

Everybody is just so greedy and selfish. Especially how I read here on nairaland.

If not for terrorism and banditry, here is one of the major part of the country where the poor can actually live their lives and train their children.

Below are some of the prices of commodities in my local community.

1. this plate of rice is #500

2. This yam was bought from one of my mom's customers for #4,000

3. This fufu and egusi soup is #600

4. The Yam in the fourth picture was bought for #12,000

I have a lot of images to upload and their prices but nairaland is telling me that I have exceeded limit of image upload. Don't know how this site works properly
Listen to your self. From the way you talk, you might be 18+. Most of the food eaten in the south comes from the north. Do you know the cost of transportation from north to east?.do you know the tax collected on the road before this goods get to the east?
Do you know red oil and other commodity produced in the south are expensive in the north?. Probably you don't know anything about inter state trading.

Exactly my thoughts. Even DNA is gotten from decomposed and skeletal remains of up to 5 years. And that's why even corpses can be exhumed after years for autopsies and other issues.

I knew it would enter for story. What exactly are they hiding?

The smell of crude oil in the Niger delta region has eroded much of the grey matter in your skull. That's why you talk Igbo Igbo all over the social media. Is Oduduwa Republic a sin? Why do you crave one country with people you so despise, if not for profiteering from proceeds from crude oil? There may be nobody to tell you that you are suffering from Igbophobia.

Which crude oil are you referring to?

Because to the best of knowledge, there is no crude oil in the whole of South East.

South East is a barren land

talk about the nature of an Igboman to jump on any bandwagon trend of something good!

Since Air Peace started flying to London, the trend of owning airlines to fly into London and perhaps other European cities will be the new trend.

I wish someone would set up a gas power plant, multiple modular refineries, or light rail connecting two or three major cities in the southeast so that this critical trend will catch on with our rich men.
Don't say what u know nothing or little about dear. Obijackson has been into aviation before now. He has been into private jet/ chopper charter service for years... So expanding his business should be a good news not fight. Airpeace is not complaining likewise UN Airline who is currently working on Nigeria to US direct flight. It's time for us to conquer the aviation/ Marlin sector, and the sky is to big. Remember the time of land transportation... Ekenedilichukwu, Ekedum, GUO Okeke, etc, all from Anambra ruled and still ruling the sector, yet all of them are making their mark.

If u stop Obijackson, are u going to stop Kano born AA Rano too?

While Donclimax, Zenith Shipping, E-money... are major in shipping and cargo, Airpeace, Obijackson, UNAirlin... Should lead the aviation sector.

Coming back to Oil and Gas, Obijackson is a major player in Africa. Don't forget he is building a Geometric power plant in Okija.

That dude is a criminal no cap, after much pressure from here and also his friend @kokaine stepped in to this case, he called me three weeks back and begged he can't refund me but I should allow him come do the job. After much argument, I agreed.

Now 1st of June, he sent a driver number to call, that one came and delivered a used (12 unit) 250W solar panel even though I paid for brand new, also he brought brand new 5KVA inverter and 60A solar controller (which I know the rating is too small to take 12 panels, the least he's supposed to bring is 100A and above for the controller.

Anyway, I collected it like that half bread is better than none. Since then, he refused to pick my call nor return my call because no batteries yet talk more of fixing or installing the solar works.

All what he brought is not upto a million naira, and indirectly I still have over a million naira with him.

You are still hinging on big games. When you look at career stats, KDB still ghosts Zidane when it comes to offensive contribution. You can talk of Zidane won this won Serie A, won this, won that. KDB when it comes to Manchester City, his medals are also huge. You can try to play down his contribution but his assists and goals for City is insane. He is just behind Ryan Giggs in all time assists. Playing for City alone. That is insane. You can't bend the truth.
