A South East traditional ruler, who was a top political activist, His Royal Majesty, Eze-Igwe Willy Ezugwu, has felicitated top oil merchant and the Chairman of Atlas Oranto Petroleum International, Prince Arthur Eze, on his 75th birth anniversary.

The monarch, who is the Eze Ogbozarra III of Opi Ancient Kingdom, the Igwe of Ibagwa Ogbozarra Opi Autonomous Community, and the Eze Ka Eze 1 of Ideke land, Nsukka, congratulated the entrepreneur and statesman in his goodwill message as contained in a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Eze-Igwe 1 of Ibagwa described Prince Arthur Eze as “an outstanding Igbo son whose lifetime achievements have placed him at the top of where decision are taken, not just in Igbo land but also in the country as a whole.

“Prince Arthur Eze has so distinguished himself so much that he no longer needs any further introduction in any part of the country once his name is mentioned”, Eze-Igwe Ezugwu noted.

He added, “I, on behalf of my kingdom, congratulates this exceptional South East son and a national icon as he clocks 75 years of age.

“We join other Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to pray that his goodwill among Nigerians will not diminish as he remains a guiding light for Ndigbo in his new age and beyond”, the monarch stated.

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you.’ Jeremiah 33:3

When you begin to pray scripturally-based prayers, you will get the answers you need. Here is why: the Bible is God’s Word, and He always keeps His Word. Here is how to pray:

1) When you don’t have the answer. ‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (Jeremiah 33:3).

2) When you’re worried and under stress. ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’ (John 14:27 NKJV).

3) When you need spiritual insight. ‘When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak of His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come’ (John 16:13 NKJV).

4) When you need power for service. ‘He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do … that the Father may be glorified in the son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it’ (John 14:12-14 NKJV).

5) When you need God’s blessing in your endeavours. ‘I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing’ (Ezekiel 34:26 NKJV). Once you see the results of praying God’s promises, you will never pray any other way.

Imagine, me who trained him has only WAEC. So in other words, suffering is my destiny and not his. I could have used the money to train myself to university but I spent it on him and his sister, with the hope that they will get good jobs and their life will be set. But has it been set? No. Don't you change tactics if conditions have changed? for him no o. He says he will knock on that door until it opens. He says the pastors praying for him have told him that his destiny is not in this country."

He shakes his head.

Exhales heavily.

Then continues.

"Well, I still give him money to help with his daily expenses, visa fee today, transport tomorrow, new passport the next. I cannot turn my face and watch him suffer. He is blood. I have to support his dreams and pray that it will be better for him. His sister, that one is even a pitiable case, she worked for only two years, then she decided to marry, marriage didn't last up to four years and she had five children, two sets of female twins and one daughter. Husband walked out on her because she couldn't have a boy. But what does my sister do? She dumps the children on me and carries church on her head. Praying from morning to night that her husband returns. Says it is the enemies from the village doing her. Blames this and that. Work she has refused to do. She says that she is a church worker, but the church is not paying her anything. It is all from my pocket. But can I turn my back on her? No. I have to take care of her and her needs, because she raised my children like hers when she was going to school first at Command Day secondary school, Ojoo and then at LASU."

He goes quiet again.

His eyes glazes over as though seeing a vision.

He speaks.

"I have told my children, your degree does not guarantee you anything. All it shows is that you have gone to school and studied a course. But it is left for you to show that you have been educated by applying what you have learned in school to tackling the challenges life throws at you. If you allow life deal you blows which you cannot dodge and allows it throw you on the ground, from where you cannot stand up, then you are an illiterate. Your degree is supposed to say to anyone that encounters you - this one can use his or her brain. They can tackle life. They can adapt. They can apply themselves to solving the complex issues of life. But when those issues confront you and you cannot solve them or even find a way around them, then that means you are waste. University does not equal an office job. It is just a platform to launch you into life. my first son, I have told him, when you are done with your service, do all you can to find work in your engineering field, but if nothing comes along, open your mind to other opportunities. Look at life and see where you can carve out a niche and launch something else from which you can build a career. Do not think that if someone does not employ you, then there is no way you can succeed in life. There is no one who was born to employ people. Even the wealth of the richest family can be squandered to nothing by a child in that family. To create wealth is by grabbing onto opportunities and running with them."

Then he smiles for the first time.

His eyes come alive.

His cheeks fill out.

He looks avuncularly handsome.

He speaks.

"for me, I am happy. my youngest daughter. Two more years to go now before she graduates. She has said to me - Daddy, once I finish school, I am going to use all these things they thought us in my business management, accounting and economic courses to take our family business to the next level."

Then he laughs.

As he throws out the words.

"She will say - I will make it 21st century compliant. App on your phone. Order a cleaner, state what you need done, quote sent to you, accept, cleaner is at your door step. Security cleared, trustworthy, skilled, good communication skills, you pay well and you get quality. We take care of homes and offices. Five star hotel level cleaning."

Then he rubs his palms together in relish.

And continues.

"But what pleases my heart, gives me hope and tells me that the future will be better than our past and present, and that one day, I or my children would be like those whose houses I clean, because there is an understanding of how generational wealth begins, is that my baby calls this cleaning work I do - our family business."

[Daniel 3:4 AKJV] — "Then an herald cried aloud, ‘To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,"

[BSB’19] — "Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “O peoples, nations, and men of every language, this is what you are commanded:"

Some said that today, if you add your age to the full year of your birth, the answer must be “2023.” I am “39 years” born on a Sabbath Day (Saturday, September 15th) in the year “1984.” This means:
“39 + 1984” = “2023”
Now, if you do this today, adding your age to your year of birth, and it did not give “2023” then perhaps you have a wrong age or wrong year of birth. Confirm your own.


In the Bible verse above, the herald made his voice loud and audible to all that were there present, presenting an oral circular or 'oral memo' pertaining the new command from the throne room of the king of kings by then to all civil servants, public servants and Government Officials therein present. The herald here means the Announcer, the Broadcaster or Spokesperson for the Power Head to the people. Though the herald is not the commander himself nor had authority/rank above all those over whom he raised his voice loud to issue the king's command there, the herald voice or speech was the bearer and booster of "Thus says the King" or "The Word or the Command of the King of Kings" then. And all the top, great and small government officials and staff must obey the publicly issued directive or command of that little herald as they would the King, though they did not hear the Words directly from the mouth of the King himself. Infact, in the Bible verse above, the herald did not even say nor used, "Thus says the King" nor mentioned the King while publishing and publicizing the Command to all the different Personalities, of different Peoples, different tribes and different languages: Instead the herald said with a loud and authoritative voice, "To you it is commanded…" Who gave the command? They don't ask, but know or regard the herald as the king's oracle.

Nothing like, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but you saying the command, "Who are you?" in their approach to the directive from the herald. Infact, I heard either a former president's ADC or Chief of Staff had ways of using "the president said or ordered" to cause other staff or officials of the government to do whatever the ADC or COS wanted even when the president is neither aware of such nor ever issued such order.

Similarly, many prophets, pastors and priests, used and still use, "Thus says the Lord God…" (When the Lord God Himself has not commanded it) to decree things and deceive people into doing those things. Remember the old prophet in Samaria used "Thus says the angel that came to me…" to deceive the man of God from Judah that heard directly from God, which stopped him from ever hearing directly from God ever again till he died because he was hearing directly from God but foolishly subscribed to hearing and obeying a prophet that was neither hearing directly from God nor qualified to hear directly from God until he took the place of the man of God from Judah in hearing directly from God while the man of God lost such hearing directly from God to the prophet. It's like me, Peterch, hearing directly from the Lord; if I later listen to Muhammad of Islam or Muslims' prophet who neither heard directly from God nor qualified to hear from God, but claimed he received his messages from an angel "Gabriel" who gave him the Quran when he could neither literate nor could read/write, will I not lose my hearing directly from God because I am hearing from Muhammad of Islam or other prophets who do not hear directly from God? That happened to the young man of God from Judah in "1 Kings 13, who lost his hearing directly from God by hearing the words of prophets who do not hear directly from God but perhaps lying angels.

Know this, being called "Man of God" is greater in authentication than being called "Prophet" "Apostle" "Pastor" "Teacher" etc. The reason is because, there can be "False or Fake" attached to "Prophet, Apostle, Pastor, Teacher etc." for one could be fake/false and still be those things with the fakeness/falseness; but nothing like "False/fake man of God." If he is a "man of God" then he cannot be fake or false; if he's fake/false then he cannot be a man of God.

In "1 Kings 13" the young man from Judah was younger in age or ministry but spiritually he was far greater or higher than the popular/prosperous prophet with many disciples in Samaria: for though the young man was walking, trekking alone in poverty to preach, he was already a "Man of God" while the older one was just a "Prophet." That means, the Man of God hears directly from God as His messenger, which qualified him with the title "Man of God;" but the prophet do not need to qualify nor hear directly from God to be a prophet, but just need to hear or see beyond the average people can see or hear into the supernatural either by angels, by dreams, by visions, by stars or signs and omens, etc. There were many prophets, pastors and priests, in the Bible but few among them were referred to as "Man of God." And if any man is called "Man of God" (not prophet, pastor or priest, but man of God), you don't even dare to insult such ones because God instantly attacks whoever insults a "Man of God."

*1* In "Numbers 12," a prophet and a priest challenged a man of God, and instantly God showed up, rebuked both of them for challenging the Man of God (Moses) whom God spoke with face to face (unlike how God uses dark speeches, dreams, omens etc. to speak to other prophets); and God struck the prophet (Miriam) with leprosy and was disappointed with the high priest (Aaron) because they were challenging Man of God (Moses)

*2* In "1 Kings 13," the king Jeroboam himself anointed for the division of the kingdom of Israel out of Solomon's seed, commanded the arrest of the young man of God from Judah. And because he was a man of God, the king's hand that was stretched out against the man of God was instantly paralyzed and dried like wood for pointing accusingly to a man of God.

(1 Kings 13:4-6) – "When King Jeroboam heard the man of God condemning the altar in Bethel, he pointed to the man across the altar. “Arrest him," he said. But the arm that he used to point to the man of God was paralyzed so that he couldn't pull it back. The altar was torn apart, and the ashes from the altar were poured [on the ground]. This was the miraculous sign the man of God performed at the LORD's command. Then the king asked the man of God, "Please make an appeal to the LORD your God, and pray for me so that I can use my arm again." So the man of God made an appeal to the LORD, and the king was able to use his arm again, as he had earlier."

You may recall that story, and how the old prophet heard and deceived the man of God into his death. I always feel a pain of loss whenever I dwell on how such great man of God was lost, one who should have ranked among men of God like Enoch, Moses, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel etc. But as a consolation, I tell myself that this man of God was lost but God gave us another man of God called "Elijah" after the young man of God from Judah.


*3* In "2 Kings 1," military commanders and soldiers tried intimidating a man of God (Elijah) using "thus says the king" to issue a command to a man of God who does not regard "thus says the king" or "thus says an angel;" but only regards the direct approach of God or Angel speaking to him and not through a third-party unlike the man of God from Judah did.

[2 Kings 1:9-10] — "Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spoke to him, "You man of God, the king has said, "Come down." And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, "If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty." And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty."

This was repeated, for no doubt Elijah was a man of God. But for the Widow, it was when Elijah raised her son back to life from the dead that she confirmed he is truly a "Man of God" because a mere prophet, priest, pastor, teacher or apostle, cannot raise a dead person back to life unless he is a man of God.

[1 Kings 17:24] — "And the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth."

*4* In "2 Kings 4," the barren Shunamite Woman herself confessed to her husband that Elisha is a "Holy man of God" and let them make room for the man of God inside their house (2 Kings 4:9). But when the man of God gave her his Word, not even thus says the Lord, but his own word, saying by this time next year you shall have your son in your arms; but she said, "Man of God don't deceive me" which was the offense. If he is a man of God, then he cannot be called a deceiver or false: or if he's false or a liar then do not call him a man of God. Don't join the two contrary terms:

(2 Kings 4:16-39 GWN) "Elisha said, "At this time next spring, you will hold a baby boy in your arms." She answered, "Don't say that, sir. Don't lie to me. You're a man of God." But the woman became pregnant and had a son at that time next year, as Elisha had told her. Several years later the boy went to his father, who was with the harvest workers. [Suddenly,] he said to his father, "my head! my head!" The father told his servant, "Carry him to his mother.""

To shorten the story, the boy died in her arms, and she ran to the man of God in frozen shock, repeating what she said about the man of God not lying to her. Nevertheless, the man of God raised the boy back to life.

5 In "Luke 1," a priest doubted a man of God who was Angel of God called Gabriel, just as the angel of God that heralded the birth of Samson to Manoah and his wife was also called "Man of God" though angel of God

[Judges 13:6-7 BSB’19] — "Then the woman went and said to her husband, “A Man of God came to me. His appearance was like the Angel of God, exceedingly awesome. I did not ask Him where He came from, and He did not tell me His name. But He said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb until the day of his death.’”"

So having been established that Angels of God could also be called, "Men of God," Angel Gabriel was the man of God that stood in the very presence of God in holy of holies of heaven, indicating his high ranking as Man of God, beholding God face to face. Why should a priest doubt the Words of such Man of God even if the priest is old in ministry and was giving great offerings to God? Therefore, the Man of God (Gabriel the archangel) struck the priest with dumbness or muteness until he see the words of the Man of God which must come to pass without failure.

Back to the old prophet, for though he deceived the man of God he never doubted the man of God unlike this old priest. Infact, though the old prophet in Samaria was popular then and very rich, (and if it were in our days the old prophet would perhaps have private jets ranked among the most influential pastors and prophets), the old prophet humbly sought after the young man of God and humbly treated the young man of God as his lord, seeking to be discipled by the young man of God. You may read where the old prophet made his Will that if he dies let him be buried in the grave with that young man of God. Infact, before Elisha succeeded in collecting double portion of the man of God's spirit (Elijah's) by closely following Elijah, this old prophet in Samaria first collected the grace or spirit from the young man of God from Judah to the point that when the man of God was eating, the old prophet received the direct word of God on behalf of the man of God and became the one now hearing from God instead of the man of God; and immediately he had the spirit of the man of God from Judah, he confirmed all that the man of God had prophesied shall surely come to pass though the man of God died a shameful death; and he commanded his disciples to bury him next to the man of God's body because he would be privileged to be called successor of that young man of God.

How many of such influential pastors and prophets of our times with their glories and private jets even have the eyes to see and know a man of God, talkless of a man of God who is younger than them in age, in material things, in ministry and in followership. So that old prophet knew had value


In concluding about the "Herald's Proclamation" all the top government officials there were to obey without asking questions who signed the memo or was it the king (Nebuchadnezzar) that ordered us, since the herald did not mention "Thus says the king." The Herald was the one who had face to face conversation with the king, and was among them as the king's oracle.

However, in his speech, the people which the herald was addressing were of different Peoples, different tribes, and different languages: and they were all those who formed the government of Babylon under the king of kings then, Nebuchadnezzar. So it was not a Nepotistic Government, nor a Government dominated by one tribe, one race of people or one language, like the foolish past government of this country I am in now, who filled his government officials and positions with his tribal people and language people and same religion, so that Fulani, northerners and cows dominated the country, taking the country many years backwards instead of forward.

God Almighty said, “ Indeed, God and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, bless him and grant him peace with complete peace ” ( Surat Al-Ahzab : 56).

Scholars say: Praying for the Prophet is a mercy from God, a request for forgiveness from the angels, and a supplication from the believers. So what is required of us is to pray to God to increase His reverence and honor for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace

Although the texts have confirmed that God Almighty granted His Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, countless honors, our request from God for His Prophet is considered an expression of the extent of our love for him, and our love for the Messenger is a sign of sincerity of faith, as it was mentioned in the hadith: “None of you believes.” So that I will be more beloved to him than his father, his son, and all of humanity,” as other narrations stated in this sense. Ibn Abd al-Salam said: Our prayer for the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - is not an intercession for him, for our example does not intercede for his like, but God commanded us to reward those who do good to us, and if we are unable to do that, we reward him with supplication, so God, when he knew our inability to reward our Prophet, guided us to prayer on him

_Regarding the legitimacy of this prayer, there are opinions_

1: The first opinion is that it is obligatory in general without limitation, but at least once it fulfills its sufficiency

2: It was said that must be performed in many cases without being restricted to a number

3: it is obligatory whenever it is mentioned

4: It is obligatory in a gathering

5: It is obligatory in every supplication

6: It is obligatory whenever it is mentioned

This prayer can be performed in any form, and the best of it - as many scholars have said - is the Abrahamic prayer , which is said after the final tashahhud in the prayer, because the authentic hadiths stated that it is what the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - taught to his companions when they asked him after the revelation of the aforementioned verse, and in The wording of this Abrahamic prayer is slightly different from the narrations

Al-Bukhari narrated in the Book of the Prophets from his Sahih on the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Laila who said: Ka’b ibn Ujrah told me and said: “Shall I not give you a gift that I heard from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace? I said, ‘Yes, so give it to me.’ He said: I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I said: O Messenger of God.” God, how can prayer be upon you, O People of the House, for God has taught us how to greet. He said, “Say: (O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as you blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham. You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as you blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham. You are Praiseworthy and Glorious)

The benefits that we derive from the virtue of praying upon the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, most of them are religious benefits related to doubling the reward and reward, and the hadiths desiring it are many, including his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Whoever prays upon me, may God’s blessings be upon him ten times,” narrated by Muslim, and his saying, “ No one He greets me unless God returns my spirit to me until I return his greetings to him.” Narrated by Abu Dawud, and his saying, “The people closest to me on the Day of Resurrection are those who pray the most for me.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: a good hadith. His saying, “The miserly is the one in whose presence I am mentioned and he does not pray for me.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: Hassan Sahih .

[Daniel 3:4 AKJV] — "Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,"

[BSB'19] — "Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “O peoples, nations, and men of every language, this is what you are commanded:"

Some said that today, if you add your age to the full year of your birth, the answer must be “2023.” I am “19 years” born on a Sabbath Day (Saturday, September 15th) in the year “1984.” This means:
“19 + 1984” = “2023”
Now, if you do this today, adding your age to your year of birth, and it did not give “2023” then perhaps you have a wrong age or wrong year of birth. Confirm your own.


In the Bible verse above, the herald made his voice loud and audible to all were there present, presenting an oral circular or 'oral memo' pertaining the new command from the throne room of the king of kings by then to all civil servants, public servants and Government Officials therein present. The herald here means the Announcer, the Broadcaster or Spokesperson for the Power Head to the people. Though the herald is not the commander himself nor had authority/rank above all those over whom he raised his voice loud to issue the king's command there, the herald voice or speech was the bearer and booster of "Thus says the King" or "The Word or the Command of the King of Kings" then. And all the top, great and small government officials and staff must obey the publicly issued directive or command of that little herald as they would the King, though they did not hear the Words directly from the mouth of the King himself. Infact, in the Bible verse above, the herald did not even say nor used, "Thus says the King" nor mentioned the King while publishing and publicizing the Command to all the different Personalities, of different Peoples, different tribes and different languages: Instead the herald said with a loud and authoritative voice, "To you it is commanded…" Who gave the command? They don't ask, but know or regard the herald as the king's oracle.

Nothing like, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but you saying the command, "Who are you?" in their approach to the directive from the herald. Infact, I heard either a former president's ADC or Chief of Staff had ways of using "the president said or ordered" to cause other staff or officials of the government to do whatever the ADC or COS wanted even when the president is neither aware of such nor ever issued such order.

Similarly, many prophets, pastors and priests, used and still use, "Thus says the Lord God…" (When the Lord God Himself has not commanded it) to decree things and deceive people into doing those things. Remember the old prophet in Samaria used "Thus says the angel that came to me…" to deceive the man of God from Judah that heard directly from God, which stopped him from ever hearing directly from God ever again till he died because he was hearing directly from God but foolishly subscribed to hearing and obeying a prophet that was neither hearing directly from God nor qualified to hear directly from God until he took the place of the man of God from Judah in hearing directly from God while the man of God lost such hearing directly from God to the prophet. It's like me, Peterch, hearing directly from the Lord; if I later listen to Muhammad of Islam or Muslims' prophet who neither heard directly from God nor qualified to hear from God, but claimed he received his messages from an angel "Gabriel" who gave him the Quran when he could neither literate nor could read/write, will I not lose my hearing directly from God because I am hearing from Muhammad of Islam or other prophets who do not hear directly from God? That happened to the young man of God from Judah in "1 Kings 13, who lost his hearing directly from God by hearing the words of prophets who do not hear directly from God but perhaps lying angels.

Know this, being called "Man of God" is greater in authentication than being called "Prophet" "Apostle" "Pastor" "Teacher" etc. The reason is because, there can be "False or Fake" attached to "Prophet, Apostle, Pastor, Teacher etc." for one could be fake/false and still be those things with the fakeness/falseness; but nothing like "False/fake man of God." If he is a "man of God" then he cannot be fake or false; if he's fake/false then he cannot be a man of God.

In "1 Kings 13" the young man from Judah was younger in age or ministry but spiritually he was far greater or higher than the popular/prosperous prophet with many disciples in Samaria: for though the young man was walking, trekking alone in poverty to preach, he was already a "Man of God" while the older one was just a "Prophet." That means, the Man of God hears directly from God as His messenger, which qualified him with the title "Man of God;" but the prophet do not need to qualify nor hear directly from God to be a prophet, but just need to hear or see beyond the average people can see or hear into the supernatural either by angels, by dreams, by visions, by stars or signs and omens, etc. There were many prophets, pastors and priests, in the Bible but few among them were referred to as "Man of God." And if any man is called "Man of God" (not prophet, pastor or priest, but man of God), you don't even dare to insult such ones because God instantly attacks whoever insults a "Man of God."

1 In "Numbers 12," a prophet and a priest challenged a man of God, and instantly God showed up, rebuked both of them for challenging the Man of God (Moses) whom God spoke with face to face (unlike how God uses dark speeches, dreams, omens etc. to speak to other prophets); and God struck the prophet (Miriam) with leprosy and was disappointed with the high priest (Aaron) because they were challenging Man of God (Moses)

2 In "1 Kings 13," the king Jeroboam himself anointed for the division of the kingdom of Israel out of Solomon's seed, commanded the arrest of the young man of God from Judah. And because he was a man of God, the king's hand that was stretched out against the man of God was instantly paralyzed and dried like wood for pointing accusingly to a man of God.

(1 Kings 13:4-6) – "When King Jeroboam heard the man of God condemning the altar in Bethel, he pointed to the man across the altar. “Arrest him," he said. But the arm that he used to point to the man of God was paralyzed so that he couldn't pull it back. The altar was torn apart, and the ashes from the altar were poured [on the ground]. This was the miraculous sign the man of God performed at the LORD's command. Then the king asked the man of God, "Please make an appeal to the LORD your God, and pray for me so that I can use my arm again." So the man of God made an appeal to the LORD, and the king was able to use his arm again, as he had earlier."

You may recall that story, and how the old prophet heard and deceived the man of God into his death. I always feel a pain of loss whenever I dwell on how such great man of God was lost, one who should have ranked among men of God like Enoch, Moses, Samuel, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel etc. But as a consolation, I tell myself that this man of God was lost but God gave us another man of God called "Elijah" after the young man of God from Judah.


3 In "2 Kings 1," military commanders and soldiers tried intimidating a man of God (Elijah) using "thus says the king" to issue a command to a man of God who does not regard "thus says the king" or "thus says an angel;" but only regards the direct approach of God or Angel speaking to him and not through a third-party unlike the man of God from Judah did.

[2 Kings 1:9-10] — "Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spoke to him, "You man of God, the king has said, "Come down." And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, "If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume you and your fifty." And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty."

This was repeated, for no doubt Elijah was a man of God. But for the Widow, it was when Elijah raised her son back to life from the dead that she confirmed he is truly a "Man of God" because a mere prophet, priest, pastor, teacher or apostle, cannot raise a dead person back to life unless he is a man of God.

[1 Kings 17:24] — "And the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth."

4 In "2 Kings 4," the barren Shunamite Woman herself confessed to her husband that Elisha is a "Holy man of God" and let them make room for the man of God inside their house (2 Kings 4:9). But when the man of God gave her his Word, not even thus says the Lord, but his own word, saying by this time next year you shall have your son in your arms; but she said, "Man of God don't deceive me" which was the offense. If he is a man of God, then he cannot be called a deceiver or false: or if he's false or a liar then do not call him a man of God. Don't join the two contrary terms:

(2 Kings 4:16-19 GWN) "Elisha said, "At this time next spring, you will hold a baby boy in your arms." She answered, "Don't say that, sir. Don't lie to me. You're a man of God." But the woman became pregnant and had a son at that time next year, as Elisha had told her. Several years later the boy went to his father, who was with the harvest workers. [Suddenly,] he said to his father, "my head! my head!" The father told his servant, "Carry him to his mother.""

To shorten the story, the boy died in her arms, and she ran to the man of God in frozen shock, repeating what she said about the man of God not lying to her. Nevertheless, the man of God raised the boy back to life.

5 In "Luke 1," a priest doubted a man of God who was Angel of God called Gabriel, just as the angel of God that heralded the birth of Samson to Manoah and his wife was also called "Man of God" though angel of God

[Judges 13:6-7 BSB'19] — "Then the woman went and said to her husband, “A Man of God came to me. His appearance was like the Angel of God, exceedingly awesome. I did not ask Him where He came from, and He did not tell me His name. But He said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb until the day of his death.’”"

So having been established that Angels of God could also be called, "Men of God," Angel Gabriel was the man of God that stood in the very presence of God in holy of holies of heaven, indicating his high ranking as Man of God, beholding God face to face. Why should a priest doubt the Words of such Man of God even if the priest is old in ministry and was giving great offerings to God? Therefore, the Man of God (Gabriel the archangel) struck the priest with dumbness or muteness until he see the words of the Man of God which must come to pass without failure.

Back to the old prophet, for though he deceived the man of God he never doubted the man of God unlike this old priest. Infact, though the old prophet in Samaria was popular then and very rich, (and if it were in our days the old prophet would perhaps have private jets ranked among the most influential pastors and prophets), the old prophet humbly sought after the young man of God and humbly treated the young man of God as his lord, seeking to be discipled by the young man of God. You may read where the old prophet made his Will that if he dies let him be buried in the grave with that young man of God. Infact, before Elisha succeeded in collecting double portion of the man of God's spirit (Elijah's) by closely following Elijah, this old prophet in Samaria first collected the grace or spirit from the young man of God from Judah to the point that when the man of God was eating, the old prophet received the direct word of God on behalf of the man of God and became the one now hearing from God instead of the man of God; and immediately he had the spirit of the man of God from Judah, he confirmed all that the man of God had prophesied shall surely come to pass though the man of God died a shameful death; and he commanded his disciples to bury him next to the man of God's body because he would be privileged to be called successor of that young man of God.

How many of such influential pastors and prophets of our times with their glories and private jets even have the eyes to see and know a man of God, talkless of a man of God who is younger than them in age, in material things, in ministry and in followership. So that old prophet knew had value


In concluding about the "Herald's Proclamation" all the top government officials there were to obey without asking questions who signed the memo or was it the king (Nebuchadnezzar) that ordered us, since the herald did not mention "Thus says the king." The Herald was the one who had face to face conversation with the king, and was among them as the king's oracle.

However, in his speech, the people which the herald was addressing were of different Peoples, different tribes, and different languages: and they were all those who formed the government of Babylon under the king of kings then, Nebuchadnezzar. So it was not a Nepotistic Government, nor a Government dominated by one tribe, one race of people or one language, like the foolish past government of this country I am in now, who filled his government officials and positions with his tribal people and language people and same religion, so that Fulani, northerners and cows dominated the country, taking the country many years backwards instead of forward.

Mother of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has revealed that the artiste’s father refused to bury him after police handed the corpse over to him.

Speaking in a viral video on Tuesday, Mohbad’s mother revealed that after the police performed an autopsy on the deceased, the body was released for burial, but the singer’s father refused to bury him.

She sought support from Nigerians to appeal to the late singer’s father to collect the remains of the singer from Lagos State Police Command.

“Nigerians, please come to my aid. I pray you all won’t lose your children. They released Mohbad’s body immediately after the autopsy but his dad is the one holding on to him and not allowing us to re-bury him.

“I begged him Severally but he refused then I thought of what to do, I went to the commissioner of police last week to complain , the commissioner even insulted me that are we happy that our son is dead, why have we not buried him, why are we allowing his corpse to be lying there useless and making the dead suffer, but I just let go of what Mohbad dad is doing and saying because I do not want drama and God is my vindicator.

“I am calling on all true mothers and Nigerians at large to please come to my aid so we can bury my son, my son is restless, he is running about, even me I do not have rest of mind, this is the help I want from you all, it’s not as if I cannot reply Mohbad dad in all he has been saying, but I hand over everything to God, he will judge us both, I have a lot to say but I won’t say anything, why will my child d1e and I will be granting interviews and allowing people make money off my d3ad son, a son that loves us, that takes care of us, that fears us, A child that I carried from Gods back.

“I am begging Nigerians not to ignore my son’s corpse, he is not a d3ad goat nor a d3ad dog, he is a Human being,please all the youths and mohbad friends should also support me and let’s bury him, do not let anyone start using his d3ath to cash out, see how my son is being treated , he was beaten to d3ath now see how they are treating his body.

“Baba Tinubu Please come to my aid and help me bury my son so he can have peace and rest. I want you all to help me bury my son. I am not begging for money; I just want my son to rest. I leave the rest to God; he rewards everyone accordingly, and God will avenge his death.


“They are using my son’s death to make money online, so they pray to experience such misfortune too? I told everyone trying to interview me that I was not interested because there was nothing to be happy about my son’s death; they took him from me, and he needs to find rest now and be reburied. Mohbad mother cries out, ” she said in gee native dialect.

He reaffirmed the need to take samples from his late son’s body for a DNA test, so as to confirm the paternity of his only son, Liam Light.

This was after singer Bella Shmurda and actress, Tonto Dikeh, called on the Police to release Mohbad’s body for a “befitting burial”, saying his autopsy result was taking time.

MohBad died on September 12, 2023, and was buried in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, the next day.

Following the outcry which trailed his death, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, ordered a forensic Investigation to unravel the cause of the death.

Based on the IGP’s directive, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, placed a ten-man team, including a pathologist to exhume his corpse and investigate Mohbad’s death.

However, before his corpse was exhumed, there were issues on paternity test of Mohbad’s son.

This was triggered by the controversial comment of a social media commentator known as the VeryDarkMan.

Amid the raging storm, Omawunmi, widow of the late singer, broke her silence on the controversial death of her husband.

In a chat which was posted by ace Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, the widow stated that she would rather not talk till the inquest performed on her late husband was complete.


The post read, “Hello ma. I’ve decided not to speak on anything until the 7th of November which is the coroner’s inquest because I do not want any side distraction, all I want is justice for my husband which I believe the Nigerian government are working on, after everything I’ll either grant an interview or tell my own story before the whole world, and also DNA is definitely a must!!!”

Scripture Text: Proverbs 11: 30

James 3:17 defines wisdom: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good friuts, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." (KJV)

The fear of the Lord is indeed God's wisdom (Psalm 111:10). From the above definition of wisdom, we can affirm that only those who fear the Lord can possess all the qualities defined. The Bible says in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask from the heavenly Father; He will give it to us without hesitating.

There are many ways we can acquire and grow God's wisdom: by asking Him in prayer, through the fear of the Lord, and most importantly, by winning souls for God.

Our Scripture text today confirms that he who wins a soul is wise. This simply tells us how important soul-winning is to God. Soul-winning is the heartbeat of God. God Himself started the act of soul-winning by giving us His only son, Jesus Christ, to win our souls back from darkness and destruction into His marvelous light and eternal life. Anyone who participates in soul-winning usually gets more attention from heaven, and God personally blesses him or her with His wisdom.

The question is: "In what ways does soul-winning make you wise?"

The wise will shine like the stars forever, and those who lead many to justice will be like the angels forever. (Daniel 12:3). Righteous people bear fruit that lasts, and those who win souls are wise. (Proverbs 11:30).

1. The soulwinners are wise. According to Webster, wisdom is "the right use or exercise of knowledge." The person who wins souls doesn't just know the truth; they also put what they know about the message into practice. It is what they are supposed to do: "preach the gospel to every creature." A soulwinner is a growing, bright, shining star in the sky that God made. They like how wise God is. "...and he who wins souls is wise." (Prov. 11:30).

2. People who win souls are good at praying. When someone has a heart for people, they pray before, after, and during their witnessing. Soulwinners know they need spiritual help more than anyone else. After someone shares their faith story, they always ask for prayer: "Please pray for so and so to be saved," "pray that the Lord will help me the next time I talk to them," or "Please pray that they will grow in the Lord now that they are saved." People who win souls are good at praying.

3. Soulwinners know a lot about the afterlife. To be a soulwinner, your spiritual eyes must be wide open. When you talk to people about their souls, you can't help but feel that everyone is going to either heaven or hell for all time.

4. People who win souls will know a lot about the Holy Spirit. You grow closer to the Holy Spirit when you win souls. Being a witness for Christ isn't just a school project once you've mapped out the plan of salvation in your Bible and marked important texts about it. The soulwinner knows they need the Holy Spirit's help very much. The Holy Spirit is always there to help the soulwinner. He is here to give the soulwinner, who looks to God for divine help, power, help, and lessons. Soulwinners all say they have been guided and strengthened by supernatural forces as they watch. Someone who is good at soulwinning has a bond with the Holy Spirit. The soulwinner knows a lot about the Holy Spirit. "You will have power, though, once the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:

5. The Bible says that soulwinners are smart. Again, wisdom means "using knowledge in the right way." The soulwinners know more about God's Word than just what they learn in school. They know how to use God's Word in the right way. The person who wins souls holds the Sword of the Spirit close to their heart and in their hand. Soulwinners read, study, and memorise the Bible for the benefit of their own souls as well as the souls of everyone they preach to. Every Christian book, sermon, and Sunday school lesson is read not only to improve their own souls but also to help the people they preach to. In the fight for faith, soulwinners learn the Bible. When someone shares their religion, they may be asked tough questions that they don't know how to answer. They are driven to look for the answer in the Bible. "Failures" in soulwinning are actually the way to later success. "Study to show that you are good enough in God's eyes, a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, correctly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15).

6. Soulwinners know how to be holy. You will want to be pure and close to the Lord if you care about Him. The soulwinner knows that food can only come from vessels that are clean and rooted in Christ (John 15). The people you witness to expect you to live like Christ and show them what the truth is all about. People who are lost will hold you to a high standard because they know how a Christian should act. The Lord helps those who win souls to live a holy life so that His light can shine through and save souls.

7. Soulwinners know a lot about the church. You will be faithful to the church if you win souls. The church is a great spot to show people Jesus. People who are not saved are more likely to walk through the doors of an evangelical church to get salvation. A Christian who cares about their soul will be at church to lead others to Christ. People who are soulwinners are always passing out gospel tracts and asking their coworkers, friends, and neighbours to church. When they show up, they'll want to be there. Someone who is good at soulwinning knows that the church is a place where they can grow and where new Christians can grow too. This is where we follow the part of the great command that says "all things" (Matthew 28:20). We "continue in doctrine and fellowship" there (Acts 2:42). Soulwinners know how important the church is.

8. Soulwinners are aware of what other people need. Soulwinning will make your heart soft. The world is broken and full of sin, and people are having a hard time. You will hear heartaches and broken hearts as you speak out for Christ. People who are soulwinners step out of their own little worlds and feel what other people are feeling. The soulwinner helps other people carry their burdens and leads them to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate bearer of all burdens. "He who goes out and weeps while carrying valuable seed will definitely come back with joy, carrying his sheaves with him." (Exodus 126:6).

9. Soulwinners know how to find joy in Christ. Being happy makes you win souls. "...come back with joy, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalm 126:6a) "Likewise, I tell you, the angels of God are glad when one sinner turns away from his or her sins." (Luke 15:10). Besides having your own soul saved, the best joy is seeing other souls saved. The soulwinner's heart feels the same joy that people in heaven feel when they are with the angels. When someone wins souls, they live with the joy of heaven.

10. Soulwinners know how to be a good friend. You make friends when you win souls for Christ. You will always remember the person or people who led you to Christ. The soul and the soulwinner have a special connection. It's very rewarding to be a spiritual parent.

11. Soulwinners know a lot about God and are clever. It's close to God's heart to win souls. People who win souls know God and His ways from personal experience. He who wins souls is a friend of Christ. They have a relationship with Jesus that other people don't have. They work together with Christ to find those who are lost. Their goal in life is the same as Christ's, who "is come to seek and save that which is lost." (Luke 19:10). The person who wins souls follows Christ and seeks to fish for men.

Are you born again? Are you a soul-winner? Has your soul been won for Christ? Are you wise? If your answer to these questions is no, then don't delay. This is the right time to repent and give your life to Christ. Tomorrow might be too late.

The peace of the Friends of the StoryTeller, a platform I formed to share stories from my blog www.nigeria360.com.ng was invaded earlier today by a con man. A confident, arrogant fool who has chosen idiocy as his stock in trade.

From about 2;00pm till this evening I have been getting calls from very senior friends from all over the world who had been called up by this idiot asking for the return of a WhatsApp code he sent to their phones.

He claims he is an admin of the group and wants to inform them of a group meeting later today. The code admits.This is a lie.

These friends of mine know I respect them too much to send a third party to them.
That’s an insult I can never inflict on them .

This is unfair and very embarrassing. It’s painful for me particularly because it seems I exposed the identities of my friends to a con man. I believe what happened is that I believe he somehow hacked into the phone of one of our members which gave him access to the group data base.

I called him myself to plead with him to stop but the monkey adamantly asked me for the code he sent to my phone. Some nerve he has.

One of my friends, Prof Onayemi, said he called and was cursing her for no reason. She gave him a full dose of curses for him and his generation. my Pastor, Dr. Richard Udoh sent a text message to both of my lines to warn me of this idiot. Top shot Marine Attorney Apaemi Nelson also got called. Pastor Phillip from RCCG, Biodun Kupoluyi, Sunday Adeyemi, Tomiwa of Tulcan, Helen Essien,
were also called. He rang Col. Abdulrahman while praying and called him an animal. So many others were called. my son, Boma and his wife Tope were not spared.

The one that bothers me was the call to one of my mentors, Mr Tex Egbedi the Men’s clothier. He was in the factory when the persistent calling started .He hacked into his phone and started sending messages to his contacts in Warri and Sapele asking them to send him N500,000 urgently. The embarrassment has been incredible.

First in this group we have had issues with my journalist friends who insist they must post contents from their blogs here when the rule clearly states that they can not. This platform was set up as a primary support base for nigeria360.com.ng. It’s a specific strategy. Why spoil it? Some have had to exist the group while some continue in violation which is sad.

The Friends of The StoryTeller is a non political, non religious and non ethnic group of individuals, we do not deserve the invasion of our privacy and peace in this way

This hacking further brings to light the bad image some of our country men portray to the world with these 419 tendencies. In this same group are some foreign friends from Turkey, China and Europe. I wonder how they will feel getting such crank calls from a guy they do not know. It is sickening.

I pray that God will have mercy on this con man and help him find a better vocation than living by trickery and deceit.

It is no longer a breaking News that Israel and Gaza are at war.

The war that broke out on 0ctomber, 7 , 2023 when Hamas from Gaze entered Israel and killed some of their citizens.
In retaliation to this attacks, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Natayahu said he would not allow Hamas to carry this kind of attack on his people again and to achieve that he has to uproot the Hamas from the ground not to cut it at head.

The Gaza civilians had been calling other countries to come to their aid because they are suffering. They have no foods ,no water ,no electricity. They said Israel's armies are targeting the children and women, they are killings civilians , innocent people are dying.

This problem the Gaza is facing now ,is it today it started? No it is not started today. It had started many years back and the Gaza people should have been the one to have started this war long time ago to prevent Hamas of been growing in their land. But they refused to fight them allowing them to growth wing now that they had refused to fight small war, they are now fighting big wat and they are crying the cry they refused to cry many years ago. If they had cry to other nations to help them to prevent Hamas of growing wing in the past now they would have prevented this war.

2023 Kogi Guber Election: Letter to Senator Natasha

I have never met Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan before. But I have followed her political engagements over the years. She comes across as a politically savvy Nigerian, who is passionate about addressing the plight of her people. This is why I am reaching out to you today with this message.

Before I proceed to deliver my message, I would like to declare that I have not had a one-on-one meeting with Governor Yahaya Bello before. The only Kogi notable politicians I have had close contact with are Captain Idris Wada and the late Audu Abubakar's son, who expressed interest in running for the governorship of the State in 2019. However, I understand that my message may not sit well with some of my Igala friends, and for that, I offer my sincere apologies in advance.

As someone with roots in Osun cum Benue, born in Texas, which serves as the headquarters of the Idoma nation, I have historical knowledge of how the Igala people, before moving to Kogi in August 1991 following its creation, made political life quite challenging for other parts of the State. And since they got to Kogi, they held sway until 2015 when a new dispensation emerged. They are, therefore, not qualified to speak about justice and equity in the political equation of Kogi State.

Dear Distinguished Senator Natasha, this is where I seek your attention. Politics is influenced by interest, sentiment, and emotion. As Drew Westen, a professor in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at Emory University, Atlanta Georgia, noted, "in politics, when reason and emotion collide, emotion invariably wins." It is worth acknowledging that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo, is AnEbira, like yourself. Thus, any misgivings you may have against Governor Yahaya Bello should not be visited upon Ododo.

Alhamdulillah, Allah has restored your seat at the Senate. I congratulate you for being dogged and steadfast over that struggle. You should, however, acknowledge the fact that you succeeded largely because majority of Ebira people wanted you. Today, majority of Ebira people want Ododo's success at the polls, and as such, hindering his path may not be well-received by them. This is why you shouldn't be seen to be a stumbling block to his emergence, for there is always a tomorrow in politics. This Saturday is about emotions.

Again, recently I tested the Adam Smith's Rational Choice Theory in one of my works, in establishing some of the factors that influence voters' choice of candidate in an election. And it was established that voters’ decisions and choice of candidates were also influenced by their self-interests and personal gains.
Politics often leans on self-interest, and an average Ebira individual would view Ododo's triumph as a personal gain, and may therefore not forgive anyone that is seen or perceived to have worked against such interest.

The Rational Choice Theory was propounded by Philosopher Adams Smith in 1776. The theory is grounded in classical psychological literature positing that human beings take decision with relation to their needs and interest. It entails the claim to create a comprehensive explanatory model for social phenomena of any kind, and thus for every form of political communication as well (Vaidya, 2023).

This theory with relation to voting decisions, presupposes that voters use their self-interests to make choices that would provide them with the greatest benefit. These voters weigh their options and make the choice they think will serve their interest best. How these voters decide what will serve them best is usually dependent on their personal preferences. Proponents of Rational Choice theory believe that there is always a rational justification for behaviours and that individuals try to maximise their rewards because they are worth the cost.

Looking at the election at hand, Ododo is the only Ebira man in the race, meaning, all AnEBira would give him a bloc votes. The story is different for other candidates in the race.

Honourable Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who's a serving House of Representatives member, representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, appears more popular than Senator Dino Melaye of the PDP in that area. So, he would share from the bloc votes that ordinarily should go to Dino. And there are other featherweight candidates from the area as well that will reduce Dino's votes drastically. Although, Muri Ajaka, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, an Igala man, appears popular in Igala land. Again, unlike Ododo, he is not the only Igala man in the race. Therefore, he won't enjoy bloc votes as well.

Since all the other three major candidates consider Governor Bello, even though he is not on the ballot, as the 'enemy' whose party, the APC should not be given a chance to win this Saturday, their collaboration would have made the race a very tight one for Ododo. But since that has not happened and it is too late for it to happen, Ododo may perhaps carry the day. But I don't want this to happen without your imprint, Senator Natasha. This is the crux of my message to you.

I know that in your inner mind and considering what you stand for, you can never pray for a character like Senator Dino Melaye to be your governor. Notwithstanding your misgivings for Governor Yahaya Bello, consider the fact that he played a significant role in putting an end to the senseless clan clashes among the Ebira, which had plagued Ebiraland before he assumed office. In those days, whenever I am traveling from Otukpo to Ibadan, those clashes were a regular feature in Okene which sometimes distrupt movement of motorists.

To the APC leadership, both in the state and at the national level, I encourage you to reach out to Senator Natasha on behalf of Alhaji Usman Ododo. This may not require public gestures, but extending a hand of fellowship and fostering a mutually beneficial political relationship is paramount.

Finally, Senator Natasha, Ododo is the candidate and not Governor Yahaya Bello. Place him side-by-side with Senator Dino Melaye and tell yourself who between the two will do well for the good of Kogi. I rest my case for now, while we all keep our fingers crossed and await the outcome of Saturday's election in Kogi State.

Showing his displeasure with the way those the former Chairman of The SUN Newspaper, OUK, helped and brought up from ground zero, betrayed him, he lamented that it's so unfortunate that those who couldn't boast of one (1) Naira in their bank account as at 1997, 1998 and 1999, until Orji Uzor Kalu discovered them and cleaned them up from destitute, are now grandstanding and flexing muscle, without recognizing and showing respect to the man God used to lift them from life of penury.

He said the Igbere-born billionaire made all the politicians in Abia State. He reiterated that OUK made those who were Laundry persons, photographers, and Akara sellers billionaires.

He further confessed that the current Chairman Senate Committee on Privatization and Commercialization, Orji Kalu, made him who he is now.

He promised never to disappoint or drag shoulders with the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.

In his words he said;

"I am a son of an Akara seller, in Aba, and Orji Kalu made me, most of the Abia politicians Orji made them, but they will never come out to tell you Orji made them.

Anywhere you see an Abia politician, ask him or her who made them. Were you made by Orji or you made yourself? 90% of them were hopeless as of 1997,1998 and before 1999 era.

Orji Kalu came as a big boy in our midst and today they don't want to show gratitude to the man who made them. It's not fair. It's not fair to humanity, it's not fair to mankind. Orji made you, show gratitude, come out and tell the whole world that Orji made you.

Orji made a laundry man to become somebody, Orji made a photographer to become somebody, my own, my Mama 'dey sell akara', I am proud to tell you, my Mother is an akara seller and Orji made me and I will remain grateful to Orji till I die.

This is gratitude, I must remain grateful to Orji Uzor Kalu till I die. Orji is a good man, anytime, any day, but he found himself among ungrateful people.

Today, they are grandstanding as political big boys. Anywhere you see them, ask them, what was their account balance as of 1997 and 1998, and who made you.

Oga politician of Abia who made you? God will bless Orji Uzor Kalu for me, in Jesus name I pray 🙏. Amen!"

Recall Orji is the current Senator representing Abia North in the Red Chamber who just won his Appeal Court case against Iro Orji of LP and Mao Ohuabunwa of PDP.

He has been excellently amazing in the discharge of his duties as a lawmaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

When God honors a man or woman for serving him, he blesses them with children of Grace.
God is faithful to His Word and His Ways. All over the bible/scripture we see this repeat pattern in the lives of the Fathers and Mothers of Faith, from generation to generation.

Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. When God tested his faith and it proved to be genuine, God made a covenant with him to make him the Father of many nations. Isaac his beloved son was raised to walk like his father. He was the perfect son. However Isaac gave birth to Esau and Jacob who were not close to Abraham and seemed not to have had the same relationship with God as Isaac did. But simply by virtue of being the seeds of Abraham, they were partakers in the Covenant and Blessing God had made with Abraham and their faith Isaac. (Genesis 26-33)

Esau did not even value his birth right because he did not understand the value of the covenant his father had with God. He seemingly didn't have a relationship with God.
Jacob on the other hand valued the Covenant and Blessing attached to the birth right. Perhaps simply because he was covetous, perhaps because his mother whom he seemed to be closer to had shared the value with him. He like wise did not seem to have a relationship with God.
Esau and Jacob were simply Chuldreb of Grace, by virtue of their grand father Abraham and their father Isaac. Whether they knew it or not, whether they served God or not, they were privy to the covenant of Blessing that their Grand parents and parents had suffered laboriously for. They inherited the Good Gifts of God without having to work for it.

God, as seen all over the scrioture and in reality, is Faithful to His Word and His Ways.
God's Covenant of Blessing is too precious to cast to swine where it is not valued. And it is too sacred to be commit to the wrong hands. God's name is too Holy to be profaned.
Jacob inherited the eternal spiritual blessing because he coveted it and valued it.
And when the time was right God orchestrated the situations that will make him finally know Him personal and have a relationship with him like Isaac his father did. Like Abraham his Grand father did.
On his journey to escape from Esau, Jacob eventually came to Luz where he encountered God and renamed Bethel because there he finally knew the God of Fathers and also made a covenant to serve Him.


Decades later, He would finally inherited the eternal blessing when he encountered the angel of God and wrestled with him all night till he received his promise.
Then God gave him a new name- Israel because he had prevailed with God and Man.
God became the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Jacob's story is a very relatable one.
Most of us born into Christian homes are either going to be like Jaob or like Esau. Yet God says Jacob he loves, Esau he hates.
By virtue of our parents being Christians who served God (not just church-goers), we are born to inherit God's blessing because our parents are in a covenant with God.
However, like Esau, some of us do not know or do not value the eternal blessing we are born into. We trivialise our faith. We are even ashamed of our heritage. We want to be like others. We want to do things our own way. We choose material blessings over our spiritual blessings.

We are naturally gifted with gifts others do not have. We find ourselves under a divine protection that things others do and get destroyed, we either don't do them at all or we do them and get away unscathed.
We find ourselves endued with leadership skills yet often we run away from leadership positions.

Until we come to our Bethel experience, we may not understand ourselves and we may continue to live outside the covenant of God for our lives. We may find ourselves with so much potentials, yet living unfulfilled lives.
I pray we come to the knowledge of our Inheritance as Children of Grace. I pray we understand that what others are searching a their lives for, pur parents suffered to inherit this divine blessing for us. Some of our parents sacrificed so much material blessings for the spiritual blessing. Some of them suffered shame in the hands of family members. Some sacrificed the lucrative jobs to serve God. Some sacrificed their lives to secure this eternal blessing for us.
Until we ourselves come into this personal encounter and relationship with God, He can not trust us to commit into our hands the weightier things.
May we not continue to run around in circles in Jesus name. Amen.

Have you encountered Children of Grace that have encountered God and have Personal relationship with God? They are exceptional beyond measure.
They are sure of who they are in Christ.
They are Problem solvers and Solution Providers.
They are trail-blazers in spiritual things and in their communities.
They are Inventors and innovators.
They are Great Parents and Siblings and friends.
They are Great followers and leaders who are blessings to work with.
They naturally know what's right and what's wrong and they always seem to make the right decisions.

Scripture Text: Psalm 62:11

The Ultimate power that God gives us is unmatched. We each have the same power that was given to Jesus: the power to heal, comfort, set free, and repair. People who followed Christ were amazed by the wonders he did because they had never seen anything like them before.

Biblical Proof of God's Ultimate Power

1. Revelation 12: When Lucifer and some other angels turned against God, there was war in heaven. Angel Michael and other holy angels defeated this group of rebels. The rebels were then thrown out of heaven. God's supreme power subdued Satan's power. Since then, there has been no peace on earth or in the sea because Satan and his lost angels now live there and fight anyone or anything that is meant to honour God.

2. According to Exodus 8:15, during the power struggle that happened in Pharaoh's palace in Egypt, Pharaoh's magicians admitted that God was the ultimate power. When Aaron threw down his staff, it turned into a snake. Pharaoh's magicians did the same thing with their staffs. Aaron's, on the other hand, ate up their rods. When the play was over, the magicians gave up and said, "This is the finger of God." Also, God saved the Israelites in a way that will never be forgotten at the Red Sea. The Red Sea was split so that his children could cross safely. But Pharaoh, his chariots, and his army were stuck and killed in the water, and their bodies were all over the shores of the water. Yahweh's ultimate power is shown here!

3. 1 Kings 18:20–40: Elijah stood alone in front of 450 followers of Baal on Mount Carmel. He had told each group that when they prayed, they should recognise the Almighty God as the one who answered by sending fire down from heaven. While the preachers of Baal set up their altar and prayed to Baal for hours, neither he nor the fire that they were praying for answered. After putting together an altar and an offering for Jehovah, Elijah prayed, and fire fell on the altar. Israelites bowed, praised, and declared, "Jehovah is God!" Elijah's all-powerful God showed up at the power encounter.

4. According to Matthew 28:18–20, God's supreme power was evident in Jesus' mission on earth. He fought the kingdom of darkness, drove devils out, and healed people every day. He destroyed Satan's work to show that all power belongs to God and was given to Him. Jesus Christ gave His servants that power and told them to show it by bringing people into His kingdom and redeeming them out of hell.

5. Exodus 3: In the burning bush, God showed Moses His ultimate power. Since God was with Moses at that time, the burning bush on Mount Horeb didn't catch fire.

6. Daniel 3:23: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were all tied together, fell into the raging fire without getting hurt or burned. Instead, the flames killed those who threw them in. As the fourth person in the fiery furnace with these three Hebrew men, God showed how powerful He really is. When King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon saw this power and wonder, he bowed down to the King of Kings and acknowledged that the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego really is the Almighty God.

7. Daniel 6: Daniel's royal master, Darius the Mede, put him in a high position. Daniel's jealous enemies tricked Darius into saying that for thirty days, no prayers should be said to any god or person but Darius. Anyone who didn't follow this order would be thrown to the lions. Daniel, who was religious, continued to pray every day to the God of Israel. The king was very upset, but he had to put Daniel to death because the rules of the Medes and Persians could not be changed. In order to save Daniel, Darius had him thrown into the pit. Early in the morning, the king runs to the site and cries out, "Has your God been able to deliver you?" Daniel said that his God had sent an angel to restrain the lions "because I was found innocent in his eyes." The king told the people who plotted to harm Daniel to be thrown to the lions with their families. The lions that watched over Daniel in their den had already torn the perpetrators to pieces before they even got to the lion's den. At this, King Darius said that everyone should bow down and be afraid of the God of Daniel. This is God's ultimate power!

8. Genesis 37–50: Joseph is the most favoured of Jacob's sons, but his brothers hate him because they are jealous. The brothers were mad because Jacob gave Joseph a beautiful "coat of many colours." They took Joseph and sold him to a group of Ishmaelites, also known as Midianites. They took him to Egypt. There, Joseph finally won the pharaoh of Egypt's favour by interpreting his dreams through the power of God. By doing so, he became Prime Minister of the pharaoh's kingdom. Egypt could survive a famine thanks to the grain stocks Joseph procured. Two of his brothers left Canaan and went to Egypt to find food because of the same famine. They bowed down on their knees in front of Joseph, but they didn't recognise him. As soon as Joseph made peace with his brothers, he asked Jacob's whole family to come to Goshen in Egypt, where they would be able to live with their flocks. In the end, Joseph's brothers selling him into slavery saved their family from famine, which was a good outcome. The family's children and grandchildren became the Hebrews, who would finally leave Egypt for Israel. This proves how powerful God is!

9. Genesis 22:13: The ram's sacrifice for Isaac’s replacement showed how powerful God is. Now I'm curious: where did the ram come from? Following God's instructions, Abraham tied his son Isaac to an altar at Moriah. As Abraham was about to kill his son Isaac, an angel stopped him and replaced him with a ram. This was the last of the 10 tests that God put Abraham through.

10. Phillipians 3:10: Christ's resurrection was one of the most important events in history. It showed us that God is all-powerful. Jesus completed an important part of God's plan that is of the utmost significance to everyone's life and future when He rose from the dead and went to the eternal place at the right hand of the Father. The power of God made Jesus rise from the dead because God has all power.

Have you experienced or acknowledged this Ultimate Power of God, Beloved? The Kingdom of God is not in words but in showing how powerful He is to save, heal, and liberate lives for Him. God's power can defeat your enemy in the name of Jesus, no matter what he does. He'll run away from you.

But you won't be able to use God's Ultimate Power if you haven't been born again. Getting God's power is only possible if you give your life to Christ.

Say this short prayer if you want to give your life to Christ: "Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You now. Come into my life, take charge of it, and change my world." I leave the devil behind and enter the Kingdom of Light. Thank You Jesus! I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ: Amen.

TOPIC: BEWARE OF PRIDE 1

“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” – (Proverbs 16:18)

13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

15 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:

16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

MESSAGE:

In our Bible reading for today, you will see that God told Elijah to anoint three people to replace him. This is because you can see pride in Elijah's response when he says, "And I, even I only, am left...". There is only one "I AM" and that is God Himself (Exodus 3:14). This is why, when Jesus Christ called Himself 'I AM' in John 8:58-59, the Jews were furious that He compared Himself to God. Of course, at that time, they did not know about John 1:1 and 14, which says Jesus is God who became flesh and dwelt amongst us. The name I AM must be reserved for God and God alone.

When you search the Scriptures, you would discover that the words 'I', 'me', 'my', 'mine' are the languages of pride. That was the language of Satan in Isaiah 14:12-15. When you find someone always saying 'I', 'my', you know you are most likely dealing with a proud fellow. Beware of this because the higher you go, the greater the risk of you saying 'I', 'my', 'me' all the time.

We see an example in the strong and anointed man of God called Samson. In Judges 15:14-16, where the power of God came upon him and he killed thousands of soldiers with a jaw bone, he said, "With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men”. There was no, "Thank You, Lord" to the One who sent down the power; it was all about himself. Even when God had clearly restored his strength in Judges 16:25-28, when the enemies had caught him and plucked out his eyes and he wanted to pray just one more prayer before dying, what did he say?

And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. (Judges 16:28)

It was about him all the way. That is why, as strong and anointed as he was, he fell so low that he ended up blind and grinding corn for his enemies before dying with them.

KEY POINT:
Beware of pride because it can make you fall so low that your enemies would begin to rejoice over you.

With the financial crises presently ravaging Nigeria, have you paid a close attention to what the Spirit is saying?

for a Time the Prosperity Gospel has been very prosperous in Nigeria. Majority of churches and believers have been serving Mammon and not God.

The LORD of the Harvest sent His labourers to the church but we rejected them for the enticing gospel of money, deceptively called Prosperity Gospel which crept into the Nigerian church.

The Prosperity Gospel is so enticing to the ears that it blinds even the most pious Apostles, Prophets, Pastors and their flock of believers because, "Who no like better ting?"

As long as we are still in this physical bodies/flesh of ours, we are bound to continually face the temptations of Lust of the Eyes, Lust of the Flesh and Pride of Life.
We desire money and the good things money can buy.
Especially when others seem to be acquiring these good things of life and it seems you are not.
And especially now more than ever when the prices of commodities are skyrocketing and people are desperate for money.
We keep hearing the testimonies of Miracle Money.
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe there's any thing God cannot do. However, we must discern spirits and know what the Word of God says. And ask ourselves the imoortant questions.

What is the Gospel?
Rom.3.23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

John.3.16 for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Matt.6.33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

What does the scripture say about Acquisitions and Money (Covetousness)
Luke.12.15 - And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."

What does Jesus Christ himself teach about Money?

Matt.6.24 - "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke.16.10 - He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Luke.16.11 - Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

What does the Word of God say about Suffering?
2Cor.4.16 - Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
2Cor.4.17 - for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

1Pet.5.10 - But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

What does the Word of God say about Prosperity?
3John.1.2 - Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

2Cor.9.10 - Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
2Cor.9.11 - while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

Prov.10.22 - The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

Eph.1.3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

How do you know you're serving Mammon?

1. When your prayers are centered on financial/material blessing rather than, spiritual blessing, soul-winning and God's kingdom.
2. When you don't miss Tithes but you are not a giver outside church.
3. When you believe money can buy God's grace and blessings.
4. When you can't go to church whenever you're broke.
5. When you don't want to hear about suffering or poverty but only prosperity. Even though the bible says time and chance happens to all man.
6. When during your marital vows you said "for richer, for richer..."
7. When you are more interested in worldly gains than making heaven.
Just to mention few.

Several marriages are crumbling presently simply because the marriage was built on money and financial security.

By the time these financial storm goes away, how many believers will still be going to church?
How many marriages will still stand?
How many will be better through this challenges and how many will become worse?

By God's Grace, Jesus Christ is delivering and rebuilding His church and the Gates of hell will not prevail against it and against us. And as the Lord of the Harvest is raising His labourers, He will make us both suitable Harvest and suitable laborers in whom He is well pleased in Jesus name.
And may this translate to evident transformations thqt glorify God, in our individual lives, homes, churches, schools and dear Country Nigeria in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen

Firstly, what is salvation? It has to do with the acceptance of the message, sum and sunstance christianity is about. let us read this; Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. John 3:16-17, for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. for God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Luke 19:10,for the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Romans 6:23, for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.In a nutshell the above scriptural verses tells us what we need do and why Christ, our lord and saviour, came to this earth. when we receive this message and accept christ into our life, we are saved and have salvation.[Revelation 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.]

Now,the question asked is can one lose his salvation, having been saved, in light of this scripture from the book of Hebrews 6:4? which reads, for it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost.Let me start off by saying that this passage has given room to a lot of interpretation and it behoolves us as teachers and apologists to always look at it in light of the prevailing background and the context of that verse. One way to understand and fully grasp a passage is to follow it from the opening verse or chapter. To look at this passage with the view to get to know if indeed, we can lose our salvation, we must go to the opening. In verse 1-3,we read, Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. It is obvious here, that it deals with a strong encourament togrow in the things of God. But why would the author write this? Let us remember, that after the ascention of Christ the persecution of the christians continued for then the church was birthed. It was this background that prompts the writer. The converted jews often incurs the wraith of the highpriest who were very influncial those days and can do a lot pf harm and suffering to the professed christians and thier family. Like kicking th chidren out of the synagogue school and other forms of persecutions in some cases, even imprisonment or death. This caused some not to be open about thier faith, attend gatherings or be seen in the mists of the bold ones. By taking this action they could not get to know more about Christ. Like paul says in the book of Philippians 3:10, That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; The passage is telling those in the new found faith to get to become intimate with Christ, pray more, and live the christian life without shame or feaer of the gospel. see Romans 1:16, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The Arminian theology says indeed, on can lose his salvation referring to Hebrews6, but we know better. As christian we are to search the scripture everyday and do our reserh on a daily bases, paul says of the people of berea in Acts 17:11, These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. No man is greater than the scripture, no man knows more than the scripture. Therefore, any interpretation that does not fall in-line with the scripture should never be taken seriously just like the people of Berea did and attracted the commendation from the apostle Paul.

Finally, let me say with scriptural backing, that we are secured in christ having been saved. John 10:28,And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. If a christian sins and remain in sin God will discipline him just as a father does his children see Hebrews 12:7-10 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? for they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

TOPIC: *The Beautiful Things Of Love (Part 2)*

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. (Jeremiah 31:3)

*MESSAGE:*

for various reasons, a lot of people keep doubting the existence of true love, since what is prominent in our world is lust, selfishness, deceit, hypocrisy, and the likes. However, from the scriptures, there have been proofs upon proofs that true love exists.

First of all, remember that *God, the Supreme Creator is All-powerful and can do anything and everything. However, one of the most prominent expressions of God is Love. In fact, God is Love personified. Yes, God is Love. And since it is true that God exists, then it is true that Love exists. The existence of the True God is the existence of True Love.*

A vivid proof that God has been showing, and will keep showing true love, can be found in John 3:16 -

*"for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."*

God so loved the world (which includes you) way before you were born. God knows you before you were born, and He has been showing you love even before you were born. An expression of His love revolves around how He safeguarded you while you were in your mother's womb, and has blessed you with the gift of life to remain alive till today.

So, you are not loveless. You might have passed through different incidents that have made you doubt the existence of true love (hated, being deceived, taken for granted, jilted, betrayed, etc.). But I want you to know that even till this moment, God, your Creator is vehemently in love with you.

What is the proof of love? What is love without giving?

"for God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten son..."

So, God put His Love for you into action by giving you the best Gift ever: He gave you Himself in Christ Jesus.

Wow!

Since humankind has embraced sin and death, God proved He didn't hate us by still deciding to come into the flesh to die for our sins! Wow!

True Love is when Jesus Christ decides to die for undeserving folks like you and me. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans chapter five verse eight)

So, how should you respond to this love being shown you by God? Accept His Gift!

"...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Simply accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and your life will never remain the same again. You must be determined to forsake anything sinful. If you need to make your way right with the LORD, simply pray:

*"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."*

Everywhere I go, I'm conscious of the Father's love for me. It doesn't matter what comes my way, I will never forget how true it is that God loves me, and I have a proof in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Scripture Text: Revelations 12:1-12

Revelation 12 gives an outline of three important people in the world today and how they will affect events in the end times. What do the woman, the child, and the dragon stand for, and what can we learn from this Bible prophecy?

Who Are the Woman, the Child, and the Dragon?

The book of Revelation is a vision that Jesus Christ had from God the Father. It shows what will happen before Jesus comes back to set up the Kingdom of God on earth. The interesting book is also known as the Apocalypse, which comes from a Greek word that means "revelation." This book of prophecy is mostly written in chronological order, with short breaks for general discussions of certain topics.


"Now a great sign appeared in heaven" (verse 1) is the first sentence of Revelation 12. The word "sign" comes from the Greek word semeion, which means "a mark, a sign, a token...an unusual event that goes beyond the normal course of nature" . I saw a woman who had just given birth as the first great sign (verse 1).

And then in verse 3, it says, "And another sign appeared in heaven." This tells us that the three symbols—a woman, a child, and a dragon—stand for things that aren't normal in nature. That's right, these three figures stand for three powerful spiritual forces that have been at work for a very long time.

Now we need to understand the symbols in order to understand this chapter.

What do the woman, the child, and the dragon stand for?

What kind of woman is in Revelation 12?
In the Apocalypse, the woman who is "clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars" (verse 1) stands for Israel in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, God spoke of His people as a woman that He had dressed in majesty and honor (Ezekiel 16). Genesis 37:9–10 talks about the 12 tribes of Israel, and the garland with 12 stars could be a picture of them.
Throughout Revelation 12, we see that God protects the "woman" many times (verses 6, 14–16), especially as the "kingdom of our God" is about to come to the world (verse 10).

As seen in the New Testament, God's Church is like a woman, and the people who belong to it are like virgins (Matthew 25:1–13; Revelation 14:4; Revelation 19:7). In the New Testament, the Church is called "the Israel of God" (Galatians 6:16) and "Jerusalem above," which is called "the mother of us all" (Galatians 4:26; see also Hebrews 12:22–23). "A chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His [God's] own special people" (1 Peter 2:9) refers to church members.

God the Father calls the church "His wife" in Revelation 19:7. When Christ comes back to earth, he will marry her. This makes it clear that the woman in Revelation 12 stands for God's people. Read more about Jesus Christ and the Church in our story, "Marriage Supper of the Lamb."

Also, it's interesting to note that in Revelation 17:1, the image of a shameful woman, called "the great harlot," is used to show a fake church that leads many astray. This is talked about more in our piece called "Mystery, Babylon the Great."

Who is the Child ?

It says that the woman, who is Israel, gave birth to a "male child who was to rule all nations with an iron rod" (Revelation 12:5). In fact, Jesus Christ was born in this country. This verse makes it clear that Jesus is the "Child" in Revelation 12. It says, "And her child was caught up to God and His throne."

Jesus is the one who the Bible says will "strike the nations." "And He will rule them with an iron rod" (Revelation 19:15). He was also taken up in a cloud to heaven after he rose from the dead (Acts 1:9–11).

Who is the dragon?

"A great, fiery red dragon" (verse 3) is the third sign in Revelation 12. It is said to have drawn "a third of the stars of heaven" and to be standing "before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born" (verse 4). "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world" (verse 9).

As for the dragon drawing "a third of the stars of heaven," this seems to mean that Satan is leading a third of the angels to revolt against God. In other places, like Revelation 1:20, stars are shown to be angels.

According to the Bible, Satan also rebelled against God and tried to make his "throne above the stars of God" and "be like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:13–14). Revelation 12:9 says that Satan started his work as "that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world." This is the same serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden.
God has "ministers of righteousness," and Satan also has slaves. These include physical ministers who are deceived and help others be deceived, as well as spirit beings who pretend to be righteous but encourage people to sin (2 Corinthians 11:15; Ephesians 6:12). According to Jude, the fallen angels or demons are "angels who did not keep their proper domain" and are now "reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day" (Jude 1:6).

Revelation 12:3–17 tells a short story of how Satan tried to stop God's plan to bring many people to praise and make them part of His eternal family. Many things Satan did included getting a third of the angels to join him in his quest to become like God, trying to have Christ killed as a child (Matthew 2:13–18), trying to trick everyone, and hurting God's people. Now, let's look at Satan's attempts to stop God's plan in more depth.

The child vs. the dragon

The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, ready to eat her child as soon as it was born (Revelation 12:4). This seems to be a reference to King Herod's plan to kill Jesus as a baby by ordering the deaths of all male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old or younger (Matthew 2:13–18). But an angel told Joseph to run away to Egypt with his wife and Jesus so that the child would not be killed (verse 13).

The Believer's Bible Commentary says this about Revelation 12:4-5: "The dragon is ready to devour the child as soon as he is born. This happened when Herod the Great, who was a Roman vassal, tried to kill the newborn King of the Jews." The boy child is clearly Jesus, who will rule the world with an iron rod.

Satan tried to kill Jesus when he was a child but failed. He did not give up, even though It says in Matthew 4:1 that "Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil" before he started his mission. At this point, Satan tried to get Jesus to break God's law by worshiping him instead of God. Jesus was told that if he would serve him, the devil would give him "all the kingdoms of the world and their glory" (verse . But Jesus didn't do that.

Satan was there again when Jesus' work was done, and it was time for Him to die to pay for everything people had done wrong. He "put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him" in this case (John 13:2). Even though Satan clearly had something to do with Jesus' death on the cross, this was part of God's plan to save the world.

As it said in Genesis 3:15, there would always be "enmity" between the snake (Satan), the woman, God's people, and the "Seed" (Jesus), who would come from the woman. This text also said that Satan would only be able to "bruise" Christ's heel by influencing the man who would betray Jesus. On the other hand, it said that Jesus would "bruise" Satan's head by resisting his temptations and becoming qualified to take his place as king of the world.
That being said, why did Satan work so hard to kill Jesus? That's because God's plan would not have worked if there wasn't a perfect Savior to pay for people's mistakes. It would be impossible for people to be forgiven for their sins and live forever in God's family.

The dragon vs. God's people.

Satan has a long history of trying to kill Jesus and also of attacking God's people, especially members of God's Church, as illustrated by the woman in the last part of Revelation 12. Right from the start of the New Testament Church, there was a lot of persecution, but God let the woman run away "into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days" (verse 6).

This verse says that God protected the real church for 1,260 years (see Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6 for proof that a day can be a year). The Church was safe from its enemies, like the Roman Empire and fake Christianity, during this time, which may have gone on into the Middle Ages.

Then it says that "war broke out in heaven" between Michael and his angels and Satan and his angels. John had a vision in which he saw Satan and his forces being "cast to the earth" because of the war. As a result, there was no longer a place for them in heaven. This fight is not the same as Satan's first rebellion, which is talked about in verse 4 and took place a long time before Christ was born.

After describing the setting for the fight in verses 7–9, a loud voice from heaven tells us what it all means (verses 10–12). "The kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have [or will soon] come" (verse 10). This battle shows that. Prior to this happening, Satan could get close to God and charge His people (Job 1:6-7; 2:1–2). Now he and his angels can't get to this place and are thrown to the ground.

Satan the dragon is now filled with "great wrath" because he knows he only has a short time left before Christ comes back to set up the Kingdom of God on earth (Revelation 12:12). His anger then turns toward God's people, whom he says are like the woman in the apocalypse who gave birth to the male child (verse 13).

But God will not let Satan destroy His people. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said that the "gates of Hades" (the grave) would not be able to stop it. The woman is "given two wings of a great eagle" to protect His people. This means she is taken safely to "her place," where she will be safe from the snake for "a time, and times, and half a time," which is about three and a half years (Revelation 12:14).

As Satan tries to get to the woman, "water will flow out of his mouth like a flood," but he will fail (verses 15–16). As seen in Isaiah 59:19 and Jeremiah 46:7-8, the word "flood" here most likely refers to forces.

The devil then goes to "make war with the rest of her children, who keep God's rules and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 12:17). This passage tells us that during the end times before Christ comes back, some members of God's true church will be safe from Satan's anger, but others will not. People who aren't in a safe place will have to show their loyalty to God the Father and Christ while being persecuted very hard by Satan.

You vs the dragon

You may not be awake to it, but Satan also hates you and will do everything he can to stop you from loving and following God. He's mad at more than just Jesus and the church. What makes him mad at you? He seems to be upset because he knows that God made people with the ability to be better than he was (Hebrews 2:6–.

It is Satan's job to fight those who want to love and follow their Father in heaven because his thoughts are so sick, twisted, and not logical. Peter warned God's people, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your enemy, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to eat" (1 Peter 5:.

In his letter to the Christians in Corinth, Paul said that Satan, whom he called "the god of this age," had hidden the real gospel so that people who didn't believe in it would not see it (2 Corinthians 4:3–4). Thankfully, this "veil is taken away in Christ" (2 Corinthians 3:14).
 
 Brethren, it is very dangerous for you if by now you've not given your life to Christ. You better do it now so that the dragon will not devour you. If you're still wallowing in sin and giving the dragon the backbone to invade your life, repent now! Tomorrow might be too late.
