PPR DON SHOW MEHHHHN

Meke ona no vess abeg ... It came out a while ago but i've been quite busy. Wanted it to be as detailed as possible to help y'all for the sake of reference. Thank God for giving me this, I consider it a special gift. I initially intended on using an agent because of his proclaimed success rate. I con reason am, which agent go tell you about their win-to-loss ratio? So, after having a holistic discussion with him about Visa Applications in general ... I figured ... hey ... This isn't really rocket science, I can do this. And so, everything from start to finish was done BY MYSELF. Here's my timeline below.

*Timeline*
School Application 12th Dec 2022
Admission 15th Dec 2022 (Centennial College)
LOA came 3rd Feb (came in late cus Dem go carry my money give another student, I give dem wahala angry no be chais until dem release am)
Visa Application Submitted 17th Feb
Biometrics 22nd Feb (The way the guy that attended to me here kept congratulating me. At this stage IRCC nvr even touch my application. I con dey wonder )
Request for Medical Examination 24th March
Medicals done 17th April
Medicals updated to passed 26th April
PPR dropped 28th April

*After the medicals (Q-life family Clinic Lagos), I followed up with Q-life to find out when they had uploaded my Medicals. When they confirmed this, I sent a mail to the ircc nairobi mail and and about an hour later, medical updated to pass. Same goes for the PPR, when I saw nothing was happening 2 days later, I sent a mail to nairobi again informing them that my medical has been updated to passed and then, I kid you not ... 5 mins later I received 2 mails "A message about your application is waiting for you.", checked the portal and PPR was sitting peacefully waiting for yours truly. Lass lass, na God get power.

I split my documents into 2 pdf's. the first was for financial related documents, and the second was for any other document. Because of this split, I didn't have too hard a time in compressing my documents. As for the compression, documents that I felt ranked higher in importance, I did little to no compression, while documents that ranked lower, I brutally compressed them.

I am researching about it in great details and gathering evidence to support my claims in my petition.

Can anyone share a sample petition letter for scholars?
We can exchange knowledge if you work in STEM.
So far, I've written four (4) reference letters (recommendation letters)
I'm working on my letter and expect to finish it by this time next week (31/03/2023).)

I will equally send to two of my friends to help double-check. (so as to implement their feeback)
Finally, I will submit everything to my personal lawyer to double-check before sending to USCIS in April.
Hopefully, I'll be in the United States by January 1, 2024.

Here is my experience as a DIY applicant at Ibadan Office of NIS.

Good afternoon to you all. Its a lengthy one but if you take your time, you will find it worthy especially those that wants to do DIY.

I have been following this thread for years but just silent reader since i wasn't ready to apply for any passport.

Around March this year, I decided that it is time to get my passport because of incoming opportunities.

I went through like 50 new pages of the thread to gather latest new infos.

The journey begins;

I went through the web to read all the instructions before i begin my application and after going through it, i begin the application.

- I opened the portal www.passport.immigration.gov.ng and registered within 30mins.

- I copied out my application and reference number, it is a key DIY applicants must have on their phone anytime.

- Time for payment, my mastercard for declining for the payment. kept trying it for days using different options apart from paystack, the same thing, used different banks, the same issue persist cry I was like village no want make i apply). grin So i was already behind schedule. Without payment you can't choose appointment date.

- Some days later i open the portal login, i went through other payment options, i saw transfer options, called Sanna pay agent via their web and told me to ahead that they will confirm it within 30mins. I paid 25,000 and 500 as transaction fees making total of 25,500 qnd truly it was confirmed within 10mins and appears on my NIS application page that i have paid. I scaled that hurdle.

- I was like i will choose date later since na Ibadan, we no dey rush things like lag people cheesy make i rest small, something tells me to check on how their appointment page looks like, na so i went to through www.appointment.immigration.gov.ng, I paid around May 4th. All the remaining working days in may are fully booked. I said abi na my eyes dey pain me ni? shocked shocked I went through june, fully booked, i was like ha, so things be like this? Only July and August have space, i didn't choose date and left it.

- Few minutes later, i went back to book appointment, fortunately i saw an opening on June 8th, i sharply pick the date and save it for printing later. How did that happen, I don't know. I saved all the application on my phone. I went to business center and to get it printed.

-I have 5weeks of waiting for the appointed capturing date. Well i used the time to gather my documents, I couldn't get guarantor a week to the capturing date, because those i trusted to help as my guarantor are doing somehow even in Church, I let it slide. Chatted an old friend who is a big brother, he offered to help. He gave me his passport and ID to go and use it and bring it back whenever I am through with it this. He filled the form for me and signed. I can never forget that gesture forever.

- I went to local Government magistrate court near my house for the stamp, the man said #500, i sha bargain to #300 and got the stamp.
I went to do enough photocopies. This is just one day to the capturing.

I am ready for the capturing! grin

On June 8th, 2022. I left early, just an hour to my place, i got there 8.05am and i saw many people outside already. They ushered us in, we all sat down. One of the officers came to address us, they have a parade we should wait until they finished. They spent an hour on the parade ground.

Everyone went to their various offices, the officers brought files, and started calling names, mumu me sat and expecting my name to be called. undecided

I waited for over two hours, i was like what is going on here? Not knowing my real journey just started.

THE REAL JOURNEY

I stood up and approached the officer who just finished calling names. Sir, i didn't hear my name for capturing, he said who is handling my files, i said myself. He asked why? I told him i applied online, he looked at me from head to toe, and hissed! He left! I was dumbfounded and disappointed.

I saw another officer and approached him, i told him my predicament, and i quote him "ha ha, you for don come before capturing date, you never do anything, you just applied, you never do anything. Online application have several stages which includes:"
i. Documents arrangements
ii. Account checking
iii. Verification
iv. Interview
v. Capturing

He said i can't capture that day again, i have to follow the due process first. He directed me to the office where my documents will be properly arranged. I went there, the officer who was on sit is a nice man, he sorted the files, gave me offline application form, almost same form we filled online, told me to go and do 10 photocopies lipsrsealed lipsrsealed. When i got to the photocopy shop, the one woman said #100/copy. angry

The vex wey i vex leave the place, i went out and bargain with a guy outside the NIS compound, he did it 3 for #50 for me. I rushed back inside, the man told me to fill the form and collected the remaining, i did so. He also told me to write a letter, i asked for a sample and he gave me one . After writing the letter, he brought a brown fileand attached the documents with it.

He told to go and come back after an hour. I did. Where they took my file to, the officer said they can't do anything again because there are too many crowd. He told me to come back next week (15th June). I collected his number. I chat him two days later and he told me, they have gone through my files and is ready for capturing. I was happy.

On june 15th, i left early as usual. I went straight to the office, and asked the office about my file, na there i know say the officer dey lie. undecided He didn't even know where they kept DIY files again. They were looking everywhere for almost 20mins before they finally saw it. You can imagine. I saw some DIY files which are already dusty and unattended to.

I collected my file, i wanted to get angry. I calm my nerves, he directed me to where do my account checking. He supposed to be the one to carry the files around and get it signed. Here i am, doing his job. But if I don't do it, my file won't be attended to unless i pay, which i have vowed not to give any officer shishi.

Fortunately for me, but unfortunately for other offline applicants, the NIS capturing portal was totally down. So they couldn't do anything, so the officers have time for other things. They have my time now since all their applicants they collected money from, no network to capture them. tongue

I went to the account office, they checked online to be sure i really paid online. And i went for verification, few minutes later. The called me and two other offline applicants for interview. Everything went fast because they have nothing to do that period. The person that interview DIY is different from those that paid through agents. The man was nice. He was shocked that i haven't got captured and asked what the problem was, i told him. He said those officers lied to me, i could have done all everything same day i came last week.

He didn't even looked at my file that much, just glanced through it and signed every documents. He told me to take it back to verification unit, and he informed that Officer to take my file to the capturing unit which he did. I was relieved! It was around 2pm and capturing portal is still down.

Come and see film, some applicants who paid to some officers started shouting at them showing their frustrations. The officers were running up and down sweating. Why? The state controller is around and anyone caught lasan, you go collect kiakia. grin

When i see that the portal not coming up, there is Ibadan North local government secretariat sharing fence with NIS. I went to their INEC office, the gate man said they can't attend to anyone again time has gone. I was at the gate and saw of one of the Inec staff, i pleaded, told the gateman to open it for me. I went in, did my Inec registration within 10mins and i left. I don use 1 stone kills 2 birds bayen. cheesy

I went back, capturing never comes up, but that man at the interview session have told me, son do everything to get captured today because tomorrow or next week is not guaranteed. So i keep waiting, half of those to be captured have left.

We remain like 100+, around 5:25pm, portal came back. So they came with files and call to know who are still there for capturing. I was called among, then i knew i am 75% done! So by 7:30pm, i was called in, portal went off for another 20mins. Came back again. I was captured around 7:55pm. It was dark already.

After capturing, they gave me a piece of paper. Me i no send, i wanted to be sure, then i check www.track.immigration.gov.ng and i saw that my application is at production stage. I left!

Then i went into the production side and i was told to check within three to five weeks it will be out.

Note:

From my experience and mistakes;

1. If you are doing DIY, go there before capturing date, sort your files out till it reaches capturing unit. Then come on the capturing date. If you miss the capturing date, they can do it any day you go there, IF you tip officers at the capturing unit. No need to do reapportionment online again because online is fully booked till may August/September. Those agents are making it more complicated because they choose dates for their applicants too online.

2. What DIY applicants are doing is the same those officers are doing if you pay to them. What they do is, since they work there, they will fast track it. They also applied for you online.

3. If you are rushing to get your passport, DIY is not the best for you. The frustrations alone, many can't deal with it.

4. Many still don't know they can apply themselves. I have to create the awareness for applicants who paid to officers there. Some paid 50k, 70k depending on how the officer prey on their gullibility.

5. If you can negotiate with your agent and agree on 35k -40k, pls go for the agent because the 10k to 15k worth the stress especially if you are a busy type.

6. You can DIY and still pay like 10k to fast track your passport depending on how fast you need it.

7. You can pay to officers and still get delayed. So be sure the options that suite you.

8. DIY applicants are respected because they don't know who is who and nobody wants to loose their job. So they are being careful attending to you, they only use body language to frustrate you.

9. Do every photocopies before coming in or else photocopies go chop all of your money.

10. In Ibadan office, throughout the day i did capturing, out of 100s of files, only 3 are DIY and DIY uses brown file. While others uses white file.

I will stop here for now, sorry for length post, i hope new applicants can learn from it. Questions are welcome.

Thank you.

MY PASSPORT IS OUT smiley

Finally, after four months of waiting, my passport is out!

After capturing in mid-june, i went to their office in August (8 weeks) to check if the passport is ready and i didn't know how i did it, i lost my enrollment ID along the line and that is where another war started.

I mail, tweet and chat them on Facebook, no response. I even did a thread, no response.

Village people: 1
Me: 0
embarassed
I remembered during one of my tweet before i lost the ID, i dropped my details for NIS Twitter page to confirm if the passport is out, and i went back to check and i couldn't find that tweet again, i was like this is odd. I hardly lost stuff like this, how come it just vanished like that?

Village people: 2
Me: 0

embarassed embarassed

I did all i could to retrieve it but I couldn't. I accepted my fate and was tracking online, still at the production stage. Same stage since i captured.

I was going out one day when i saw the officer at the front office that helped me sorted my files, before i could reach where he was, he was no more there.

I went back to the office a week later, went to his office and we were discussing and i discovered we lives almost same area, if you see the excitement on my face. angry

Village people: 2
Me: 1
cool

Collected his contact and we got talking, he told me "they print passport every Tuesday and they have backlog passports they are still printing because of no paper Issue back then. So once they finished backlog printing, they stopped at April production, so they would continue from there".

So around late August, they started printing April and by September they had printed may and June. The Officer do chat me to update me.

I sent him token for recharge card to appreciate him and he still went ahead and gave it to someone at the production unit so that once my passport is out, i will be informed. Truly, yesterday he chat me up that production unit informed him my passport is out! cool and i can come anytime for it.

Village people: 2
Me: 2
grin

So he helped me bypass that enrollment ID wahala. I went there around 3pm, called him and he took me to the lady in charge and she had already helped me kept my passport cheesy, called my name with the rest, handed over to me.

Sat down for activations and left few mins later.

Checked my passport and it was correct and also it was printed just last week since June.

Note: They are just starting printing for July, I don't know about fast tracking, i am talking about DIY.

DIY is not for the faint hearted applicants o. Funniest is, it is getting more harder for DIY because of the crowd getting more increasing daily who wants to fast track their passport especially Lagos and Ibadan.

Do not lose that enrollment ID, i was just lucky because if not, they are ready to frustrate your life.

If you are not in hurry, you can do DIY and wait. As at now, the officer told me they are fully booked throughout this year and January. So the more you wait, the more time you are wasting.

Apart from 25,500 i paid online, i didn't give anyone dime. The token i gave the officer, he didn't request for it, i gave him myself just because he was good to me and also we live same area

The end. smiley

You can ask questions especially for Ibadan people.

You can apply for your visa at most, 6 months before your course start date but you can only travel at most, 1 month before your course start date.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Your academic transcript.
2. Your CV/resume (postgraduate study).
3. Copy of your passport.
4. reference/recommendation letters/Contacts. Many schools take recommendations by email – they ask you for your recommender(s)’s emails and send them the link to fill in their recommendations. Alternatively, you can send a scanned copy of the recommendation letter on the letter-headed paper of your recommender’s company via email or upload via the student portal depending on your school.
5. A personal statement. This is your opportunity to sell yourself as an excellent fit for the school/course.
6. An English language qualification such as IELTS, SSEC or WAEC C6 or above or TOEFL. Some schools accept a letter from your previous institutions stating that you were fully taught in English. Find out what your school will accept from you.
Note: Many schools will require you to submit the bank statement or the proof of funds that you want to use before issuing your CAS.
Also, have your travel history at hand as many schools will like to know if you have been refused visas previously and why to enable them to gauge your success at getting a visa. Declaring refusals to schools and UKVI doesn’t mean that your visa application will be rejected, it only means that some schools might decline your application due to the risk of your student refusal as a means to retain the integrity of their admission/CAS issuance processes as certain refusals cast negative light on the integrity of their processes.

It must also confirm that the funds will be available to you, or paid directly to the sponsor, before you begin your course.

8. Consent letter: You'll also need a letter from your parent(s) or guardian that states that they consent to you using the funds in the account for which evidence has been submitted. This is only applicable if using their bank statements. Graduate visa (after successfully completing your studies) https://www.gov.uk/graduate-visa
Cost: Visa - £715 + IHS (£624 per year * 2 for Masters programmes and £624 per year * 3 for PhDs) = £1,963 (Masters) and £2,587 (PhDs). This visa can’t be extended, you’ll need to migrate to another visa that allows you to work and live in the UK eg. Skilled worker visa, Innovator visa, Global Talent visa, any family route visa etc.

FOR DEPENDANTS: Your family should ideally be in the UK as your dependant under the Student visa for them to qualify as your dependants under the Graduate visa route. This means that they must apply to join you more than 6 months to the end of your course since IHS isn’t charged and BRPs are not issued for any visa below 6 months. If your dependants apply when you have less than 6 months to the end of your course, it means that they won’t be charged IHS and if they need medical attention, they might need to pay out of pocket. Also, proving their right to work might be difficult with this – anyone who has applied less than 6 months to the end of the main applicant’s visa should please state their experience for others to gain from.
a. Spouses only: Marriage certificate.
b. Spouses and Children: Maintenance evidence: Bank statement showing £845 monthly * 9 months (£7,605) for within London or £680 monthly * 9 months (£6,120) for outside London. For dependant spouses, the money can be in your account or your partner's account.
For dependant children, the money can be in either parent's account.
Note: If applying shortly after the main applicant, be ready to show evidence of the main applicant’s funds (ie. c. Spouses and children: TB test certificate (From IOM only)

These documents must be dated before the child turns 18 (ideally while the child is under age 16).

e. Spouse or parent's Biometric Residence Permit if they are already in the UK. Their vignette /GWF number if they have gotten their vignette but are still in Nigeria or if they are awaiting their application decision.

f. For spouses, you can include pictures of you and your spouse to prove that your marriage is genuine and subsisting or communication evidence (if you have lived apart prior to your application especially in cases where the spouse has travelled to the UK already). You can also use joint accounts, letters from your doctor, joint properties amongst many others to show that your marriage is real.

g. For children only: consent letter signed by both parents or legal guardian. See sample here (edit as required): http://documents.manchester.ac.uk/display.aspx?DocID=29499

https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/immigration/tier-4-application/supporting-documents#consent

Also, having detailed childcare plans while you study helps – contact nurseries/schools around your area to give you an idea of how to weave this into your application.

Highlyfavoured3:
]Please help with these,
1.Please can i get a sample of a UK healthcare CV
2.Are the referees on the CV contacted via phone or email?
3. How many referees should be provided and do they have to be from the company where i have worked?
Thank you
1. Go to myperfectcv dot co dot uk. It’s a uk cv builder that has pre text to even guide you on making your cv standard. Don’t use their pre text so it doesn’t make your cv look generic, it has to be unique to you. Make sure whatever education and work history you’re including has to do with health care, nothing else. If you be automobile engineer and get experience in the field, keep am for one side cause e nor follow for the job you wan apply for. Please note that you’ll need to pay small fee before you can download the cv. Indeed dot co dot uk is also another great option to create a uk standard cv via the profile.

2. Can’t say by which means they will be contacted but It’s mainly by mail though, na why dem nor dey play with official mail.

3. I understand nhs requires 3 while most other settings requires 2. I think the reference has to be from previous or current work, not entirely sure.

Hopefully other people touch on the reference thing for you.

Dear Recruitment Administrator,

I am writing in reference to Ruth Ameachi and her job application. I have known Ruth for 12 months as her manager. She is one person I can rely on to do her work diligently. She is a people person, and she will be a positive addition to your company. I found her to be self-motivated, and punctual, and all our clients that she has worked with talk about the extra mile she goes beyond her call of duty.

We will miss her, but we are certain she will do herself and us proud in any organisation she finds herself. We wish her well and hope she will one day come to visit.

If you require any other additional information, please feel free to contact me on my direct phone number which is on this letter.

Yours Sincerely,
Adetope Alimosho

Here is my experience as a DIY applicant at Ibadan Office of NIS.

Good afternoon to you all. Its a lengthy one but if you take your time, you will find it worthy especially those that wants to do DIY.

I have been following this thread for years but just silent reader since i wasn't ready to apply for any passport.

Around March this year, I decided that it is time to get my passport because of incoming opportunities.

I went through like 50 new pages of the thread to gather latest new infos.

The journey begins;

Note:

From my experience and mistakes;

Thank you.

Note:

From my experience and mistakes;

Thank you.

Yes! Your NIN is very important. The names on NIN must be the same with on your application and documents. If there is any mistake, you won't get captured. They verify your NIN online before any other thing.

The journey begins;

Note:

From my experience and mistakes;

Thank you.

When i am less busy, i will share own my experience at Ibadan Immigration Office as a DIY applicant.

I will give indepth analysis because people hardly know about the online application here in Ibadan, only few did DIY, the rest are through agents. So you can imagine the intimidations and stress i went through before capturing.

Anyways, for now questions are welcome.

The journey begins;

Congratulations Jeezybuck.

May the land favour you.

Can I have a sample of the SOP(Sshoemaking thingy) you used for the initial SOP, please?

My email address is adedamolahameen@gmail.com.

Thank you.

jeezybuck:
Please pardon me for my post, it might come with a lot of typo, I am typing this dead drunk.

My Journey started in late September, I was in my room relaxing on my bed when my wife's cousin called me from Canada to say hello. We had a long conversation and he told me it would be nice to have me and my wife around in New Brunswick. Immediately he said that something triggered me to get in on it and I did immediately.

At first, I was going to let my wife do the study thing, but for some reasons I changed my mind that I will be the one to do it.

He sent me the website of UNB but I didn't meet up with the requirements because I had 2.2, I reverted to him and he advised I checked NBCC. I checked in with NBCC, I went to get my NECO certificate, I had my Bsc certificate already and I called my friend and he applied for my transcript, it took about 3 weeks and it was delivered to me.

I applied to NBCC and the wait started, it took about 7 to 8 weeks and these guys won't say a thing, around Christmas they were sending me Christmas messages and I was happy thinking they will admit me for them to send me seasoned greetings, come 31th of December or so i got a bad breakfast, i was waitlisted for the program I applied for, i didn't know what that meant and I contacted Olaide on NL and she told me not to wait on the waitlist I should apply to other schools immediately. I summoned the courage out of desperation and I applied to three more schools namely NCSS, Canadore and Sheridan college. While I was desperate for admission I messaged Niagara college to ask about their admission. Weeks after, On this faithful day I got a call and this lady said she was calling from Niagara college, She said she has been trying to contact me for several days but my emails won't go through and they found my number. She asked about my qualification and work experience, and she told me to apply and make payment and they will review my application. This lady came like an angel and she helped follow through with my application, she was in touch with me from week to week and she assured me if I met the requirement I will get admission. Weeks after, admission came through, I paid the deposit without hesitation and a few weeks after I got 3 admissions from the schools I applied to earlier and that makes it 4 admissions.

I didn't know how else to proceed, I have been following the Canadian student visa section since late September 2021, when the time came to put my application in I contacted frank Robben but he didn't respond to my email and I noticed Makano was very active at the time and have been helpful with questions asked on the platform so I reached out to him he replied almost immediately and we talked, I felt he would be the one to write my SOP, but to my surprise, he said he can't, i have to write my story myself for him to develop on, immediately I went back to a post regarding SOP where the poster wrote a good write up about a cobler (Shoemaking narrative) I followed through and I used it as a guideline (God bless the person that wrote it). I took a notebook and I started writing, I sent back everything I wrote makano, he did his adjustments and sent it all back, I was expecting it to happen within a few days, but it took longer than I thought. Later he sent it to me and I again forwarded it to my friend for review.

Makano gave me a list of the documents to put together and how to arrange them, I couldn't meet up with everything, he advised me to use what I have. I gathered it all and it was time to submit, my documents were way over the 4 MB limit it was 30 something MB for supporting documents and about 12MB for proof of funds, i had too many pages, it took more than 2 weeks to get it down to 4 MB but i couldn't they keep coming out blurry, I had sleepless nights because of this stupid PDF thing, I couldn't go to work, Makano was telling me what and what to do to get it down and God willing I got it down.

I submitted my application on the first of March and the wait started, the evening I applied i told myself I won't let this bother me, I will continue life as usual, but that was a big lie after about the 5th day I couldn't concentrate any longer all my thought was around my application as this Canadian journey determines my going forward with life. I couldn't function any longer, I couldn't concentrate on my work, I was just in a fix and I didn't know how to proceed, I check my email at least 100 times a day ( i am not exaggerating) I realized this Canadian journey is not for the faint-hearted. I struggled to get by from day today

One thing I appreciate most about Makano is his encouragement and he is always checking in, he keeps messaging me to ask how far with my application if there is any update, I tell him baba everything is still the same since the last time.

Just yesterday he was the one who contacted me again to ask if there is any update and I told him no, he asked if my application is up to 13 weeks I told him yesterday makes it 12 weeks, and he said to wait 2 more weeks before I start firing them mails and webform.

Today happened to be another rough day as it has always been, my school called but I didn't take the call they were going to ask about my application and I don't want anyone adding salt to my wound so I didn't pick the call, after I got a mail from the school I just ignored it. I was busy drinking my bullet when I saw a mail icon on my phone I opened it up and it was from IRCC. Immediately i was sweating from head to toe, my balls were soaked in sweat, I chatted with my wife immediately to express my fears and let her know I got a mail from IRCC she encouraged me to log in and check.

My people I opened it and I got the best mail of my life "Original Passport Request", I went berserk i was crying like a baby, I called my wife to share the news with her and again I called Makano he didn't pick. I cried like a baby for soooooo long, I wasn't crying because I had tears to shed I was crying because i didn't believe what the Lord has done for me.

What God cannot do does not exist, God will come for all of us.

To every expectant, it will happen by the special grace of God, to those that have been delayed please do not give up, fire on and do it all over again.

A big thank you to God, Makano, Frank, Just Mellow, Anon, Lekkiboboe, Showyoung, Teemenzo (went quiet), Osemigbo I can't really spell it, and the rest I can't remember their names God bless us all. You have no idea how helpful you all have been on this thread, God will reward you all in beautiful ways.
