My fam,

COPR received today. All glory to God, who causes us to prosper.

Ok heres a break down as promised.

Started the journey by enrolling for the IELTS exam.

IELTS:

I studied Liz blog for reading and mainly writing. I believe the free version is very useful for writing, she has very good techniques and samples.
For the speaking, I watched sample interview tests on YouTube. Those videos are enough to get you a good score. I practiced with the free Cambridge materials, and I always timed myself. When I did the first practice, I scored a 27/40 in listening and a 30/40 in reading. I was shook!!!!. I couldn’t believe my eyes lol, but I kept practicing. Over the next 2 months, I started scoring 39/40 and 40/40. At this point, I knew I was ready to take the test, and I registered. Lo and behold, my result wasn’t too different from my practice results.

L= 9, R = 8.5, S = 8.5, W = 7. My 1st attempt.

I believe the secret to acing the test is: i) Practice practice practice, ii) familiarize yourself with the test question formats, iii) have a calm state of mind on the morning of the exam, iv) For writing, use pencil and start from task 2; it carries more marks - 66% of the total score, while task 1 takes 33% or so…..i cannot over emphasize checking out LIZ blog.

ECA:

I used WES and it was pretty straight forward, as I evaluated my foreign degree. It took about 2 or 3weeks.

ITA:

As soon as the ECA was done, I jumped into the pool with 452 or so. I have to state here that if you have 2yrs and 10 months work experience, pls put 2yrs only when creating an IRCC profile.

NEVER ROUND UP pls. Even if it is 3yrs and 11months, pls claim 3yrs guys.
I claimed 2yrs work experience: 1year of NYSC and 1year post NYSC. Be very careful when creating an account pls.

POF:

Before I got ITA, I had already gotten 50% of my POF sitting in the account for over 6months. The remaining money came in as a gift deed from my family. It actually came 2days before I submitted my application. I had to wait to print the Statement of account.
Bank documents- I used a dollar account. I asked for a letter in the CIC format, but the man in the customer rep booth refused. He gave me a generic one. I had to request for a letter of non-indebtedness to buffer.

So from the bank, I had my 6months SOA, letter of non-indebtedness, and the generic bank reference letter.

PCC:

I paid the regular 10k in Abuja and some $15 or so for US PCC. I paid the forensic dept. in Louis edet house to help me with holding my hand to thumbprint for the FBI one, and I DHLed the sheets to the US. (The report returned in 24hrs).

REF LETTERS:

The Company I served with during nysc, refused to give me a reference letter, so I asked my previous supervisor to write one for me. He wrote it on a plain sheet and got it notarized. He attached a scanned copy of his ID card showing his position, just as a backup. Also, they paid us cash, so I had no paystubs and no bank proof. My supervisor took the initiative to write out this fact and he included the amount paid monthly in his letter.

For my post NYSC job, I had paystubs, letter-headed ref letter from HR, bank print out etc.

AOR:

On the day of submission, I forgot to attach my current reference letter from the company I was working with (although I wasn’t claiming points for it), and I submitted. I was so worried.

I added LOE to the beginning of certain placeholders, e.g. in the POF part, I explained that the bank offered only the generic letter: I wrote just 1 sentence on a plain sheet, and under it, I gave a tabular breakdown of the money conversion rate using oanda from USD to CAD. Then I put a table of content thing: 1st page – letter of non-indebtedness, 2nd page – bank ref letter…….etc.

I also put a general LOE in the general section placeholder, it had a summary of all my LOEs on one sheet of plain paper, I wrote brief sentences here too…e.g.:

EMPLOYMENT RECORDS:
in 2016, I was paid cash for a period of 1yr in XYZ Company, hence my non-inclusion of paystubs - more details in the employment record placeholder.

I did this just in case different VOs were working on different parts of my file at the same time, at least they would see the LOE in the employment part or see the LOE in the general part. For clarity sake.

-I previously had a visitor’s visa to Canada, so I was not asked for biometrics.

**When post AOR: try to enroll for a planning for Canada session. They give individualized action plans for people based on your NOC code. It helps you to know what you are up against, technologies to learn, and attributes to quickly imbibe before you get there.

OTHERS:

The first 2weeks post AOR were challenging. I used to check my profile 3times a day, but after the first 2 weeks, I totally got occupied and hardly checked except on Saturdays.
Also, pls keep your LinkedIn and social media up to date with your current job status. They actually do cross check guys, most esp LVO and AVO.
I had no visa denials and no ADR, I paid all PPR fees upfront, didn’t order GCMS notes- so I don’t know which VO attended to my application, but I think it should be Ottawa.

SUMMARY:
As a last note, Pls don’t put a full stop where God has placed a comma. Don’t fret and don’t give up. Do what you have to do, be very clear and concise in your application. Avoid discrepancies, and long turanchi.

My love goes to NewMum0625, Tojued, smslive, mcstan18, joo2000, ifeoma77 and a host of others. Newmum actually replied me repeatedly, answering my questions via mail in a very detailed manner, ….Tojued too, but she refused to give me her num lol. Then there was this guy in PH that kept replying me, he even gave me his contact to call him. May God reward you all.

I will be open to help anyone with questions that I can answer, but remember no 2 applications are exactly alike. Use your discretion to act, and always read up page 1.

Good evening and congatulations!
please kindly advise me on this: I visited WES website and started the application process. i discovered this "Final Secondary Examination Results (e.g. West African Senior School Certificate) must be submitted directly to WES by the appropriate examining body for evaluation along with all higher education documents. No evaluation will be completed without the final secondary examination results."
I have MSc and wouldnt want to evaluate my WAEC because of the mistake on my date of birth.
Should I just forget about WES and use ICES, or should I still continue with WES but not upload my WAEC? Kindly advise please

Congrats!
Please do you mind sharing a sample of the reference letter from the education savings plan for PoF or the letter of request you sent to them.
I just need an idea what to ask FBN to write.

Congratulations
Zeiya:
Men this PPR rain reach my side ooooooooo.

Long post alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will give the type of testimony that I benefited from in the past.

After being visited by two "ghost updates", I said that if I miss out on the next PPR rain, then there may be trouble cooking in my application .

My two greatest days on this journey were the day I passed my IELTS and PPR. The feeling was like being a born again for Christians. Let me quickly give my timeline before my long story starts.

Desicion to travel was at the peak when I read on the news late last year that Canada will take over a million immigrants between 2018/2020. Then I said to myself, it is time to try through FSW, as I have been looking for admission with schorlarhip all these while.

IELTS (1): 24th march
IELTS (2): 24th May passed on 6th June( My happiest day on this journey).
ECA: 20th June
EE profile: 22 June
Hubby IELTS : updated 13th July
CRS:448
ITA: 25th July
AOR: 5th Sept
MED: 27th Sept
BIL: 28th Sept
ADR: 17th November
Ghost Update 1: 27th November
Ghost Update 2: 4th December
PPR : 7th December dated 6th December
Family size : 4
VO: Ottawa
Travel experience: Nil
Province picked: Sask and Alberta
AOR-PPR: 93 days

I got the Indian visa location stuff too, but I have submitted at VFS LEKKI. They didn't say anything, I will give you guys feedback on the outcome. Paid #71710 for family of 4

This journey taught me to be positive, patient and the power of research. I turned Nairaland into a pocket Bible. I got 100% information that I used in packaging my application on this forum. I screen shot any important information I read anywhere whether I have reached the stage or not. I read all my saved items at my spare time because i don't know what will be my own case

IELTS: passing ielts was a major breakthrough for me. I knew my journey has begun with or without POF complete.

ECA: University of IBADAN PG school I hail ohhh!!!!!!
they were so fast and efficient in sending and verifying my MSc. transcript( Nairaland saved me from doing my Bsc. too and MOUAU would have showed me pepper as they toasting my younger brother now)
POF: this looked like it was going to be a huge challenge but my siblings kept encouraging me to get to the stage first then we will know if it will stop the process. When the time came O my God !!!!!!!!!, my siblings, hubby siblings and even parents SUPRISED us, everybody wanted to give us money, at a point I was confused on how to merge everything. Our POF was in excess by 30%. 100% dash ooooo. I never knew they had that kind of money, when abroad matter came up, everyone wanted to sow a seed in our life. Nothing FASTING AND PRAYING cannot do. Don't be discouraged about money, keep praying and allow God to do the rest.

POST AOR: After submitting BIL, the waiting torture continues, I attended planning for Canada and researched other pre arrival programs. When the craze of e-mailing Ralph came, I did on 6th November and got the information that my file was at Ottawa, Eligibility in progress, Criminalty started 15th Oct, security not started.
ADR: I got an ADR for Hubby's Schedule A . At the point of submission I noticed that the file name to be submitted in the profile has my name and in my section, I said it won't hurt to fill the form too and let them pick the one the wanted. Next day my profile changed to reviewing document till date.
NOTE: I copied out all the information I filled before and after ITA for myself and my dependents on a book. It became handy when filling the Schedule A.

GHOST UPDATE: After being visited by 'two ghost updates' grin I was scared, until I researched and saw people that got even three without PPR on canadavisa forum. I believe "ghost update" means that your file was reviewed but the outcome is what we should pray for. From people that ordered for their notes on the forum, I understand that they noted 'next review date Dec' on their files ( August/September thread). I gained a lot from people's GCMS notes, it kept me going and reduced the urge to order mine till I mark 100days.

God bless Seun for this Forum, No matter the stage you are don't give up or you will miss u PPR date. GOOGLE is there for everything. Newcomers please go back to part 3, 4, 5 and read, it will take your time and MB, but you will get genuine information from people's personal experience.

From here I got the importance of online presence, I created a LinkedIn profile this year, updated it and filled it with people. I cleared all my side business from my Facebook account and did the same for my hubby. I was lucky my company has a very strong online presence.

POF: I used two gift deeds, from my elder brother and sister. I submitted notarized gift deed for my brother, my sister is in UK so she wrote her own letter in her own style ( refused to use my naija sample), she gave me the evidence of her transfer, marriage certificate and payslip. I didn't use her payslip because I didn't put mine. My money was in 5 Treasury bills from Firstbank (joint account) and Gtbank ( Personal) . I used 6months bank statement from Firstbank ( i had 100% POF there), generic reference letters from both banks and Tbills certificates. I explained in details how all the money came in and stressed that they can be liquidated at any time.

work EXPERIENCE: I submitted a very detailed reference letter ( I was lucky I worked with my boss on this), appointment, confirmation, promotion, and salary raise letters only.

CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY is real and you must be interested and determined to get there. I have told some of my friends and
some gave up after few attempts of IELTS while some are waiting to see the result if my own. READ and READ, there are a lot of pre-arrival programs people miss out because of lack of information.

I appreciate hundreds of people here but I will mention few to save space.

@Newmum you are good.
@Mcstan I pray for you always, you inspire me, we will celebrate you here on your appointed day
@dumprep, I met you at the PFC session, you have a nice soul, waiting for your Landing gist soon.

Finally all Glory be to GOD ALMIGHTY and Honour to our Blessed Mother Mary. That WOMAN is loaded. If you are a Catholic, near her and you will never regret it. SHE can't stand our tears and worries.

It has ended in praise for me. Yours is loading

Long Post

God has been wonderful to me since I began my canny waka in 2017. I’m not the best of writers, so pardon me for my poor grammar (@raphrulz don’t come for me with -1/10 please).

My sincere appreciation goes to Nairaland people, at some point I felt you guys live online cuz you reply mails in few minutes and your posts have been very helpful. Kudos!!! . Please keep up the good work.

In July 2017 - I can’t recollect the exact date but my friend called me
Licious : Ogbeni wa je ki a gbiyanju Canada IELTS yi ko le(Guy lets try out this canada,IELTS is not hard), people dey pass am, Let’s register for it.
Me: I no fit stress myself jare , my work is demanding plus I dey broke (my mini phone biz was not doing well-lost all my savings ).

16th December 2017 - This was the day I made up my mind to start this Canada Journey, at this point I only had only 100k in my account(sold a phone the previous day with 78k profit). I drove down to my friends house - he helped me register for IELTS and I paid for my school’s transcript (LAUTECH were school).

IELTS :I did my exam January 20th passed on 2nd February 2018 - This my my first and only attempt. I remembered being overwhelmed after checking the results that I got confused. I just sent out my result to my friend, my sister and her husband to ask if I passed(barely passed 8.5/7/7/7). Lol

ECA - I decided to go with ICES cuz I don’t want story that touch with WES verification considering LAUTECH can go on strike for another two(2) years. I made my submission in January 2018 and got my evaluation via UPS on March 23 , 2018.
ITA - I filled my express entry application and submitted March 26th. I got ITA April 11
.
Documentation : Then the hustle for documentation started. I got the sample template for employer reference here on nairaland and sent it to my head of HR directly. Baba being a nice guy prepared it and signed it same day.

Proof of Fund: People don’t really talk much about this. If we all had our Proof of Funds most of us won’t consider Canada(Don’t quote me). .This was the time I knew my real friends and family. I was looking for CAD 23,181(My spouse was pregnant) but if I was able to get CAD 19, 093 that will be fine. Close to the end of 90 days grace period - God came through for me, Yes I got close to CAD 22,000 equivalent in my GTB Savings account.I had enough inflow and outflow that I wasn’t worried about redflag of any huge deposit. All the POF money came in in bits (100k to 500k) cuz I didn’t want to go through the Gift deed wahala.
My POF was generic GTB Six Months Statement of Account (49 pages). I struggled to compress it to the required 4MB.

Medicals - I booked Medicals for Family of three(3) with Children practice on Tuesday July 3rd - I gave the lady at the reception the passport and biodata pages . Then Gbagaun!!! she told me straight up that I won’t be able to do my medicals as my Passport is less than Six(6) months to expiry. I was like Mogbe!!! I called Ikoyi Passport Office contact. Dude told me no Passport pages available that I should go to Ibadan. I called ibadan and was told no 32 pages passport that I should proceed to Ekiti. All these was happening when my ITA expires in 8 days. In short- drove down to Ibadan next day - did 64 pages (for 39k) and got it same day. I drove down to Ikoyi Children practice the following day and did medicals.

AOR- Submitted my Application July 9th 2018 and spent the weekend creating vetting and uploading documents. Payment was made using GTB dollar Mastercard.

ADR: 25th July I got ADR for my spouse which had a missing information between 2009/06 to 2009/09/ and 2017/04/01 to 2018/07/09. Lesson: try and ensure we don’t overlap or miss out timeline.

Silence - The period of constant checking of my profile without update. I know it is not easy o but please let’s just leave the account. When there is an update. You will get an email.

1st Nov 218 - God blessed my family with a baby girl on 1st Nov 218. I was so busy with the baby’s stuffs that I forgot to raise a CSC for the newborn.
3rd Nov 2018 – I decided to raise a CSC for the new baby and started gathering documents.
7th Nov 2018 – I got a response to my CSC that I should contact Ottawa via email to inform them of my new family addition.
I immediately sent a mail to Ottawa – informing them of my new family addition. Then things got interesting … I got an ADR - Travel History Info Form and Passport pages(we don't have any travel history) same day for my spouse and I. I couldn’t wait to get to the office the following day to scan the passports which made me result to using my smartphone to snap the and merge the Passport pages –
At the point I felt PPR was close – deep down I was praying that my baby should be added before PPR is issued.

12th Nov 2018- Did my Baby’s Passport at Ibadan (Yes I took the risk of Lagos Ibadan for the 1 day passport)

13th Nov 2018 - Brought her back to Lagos for Medicals at IOM Ikeja- the lady at the reception was kind enough to attend to us without appointment cuz my baby was just 13 days old.

15th Nov 2018 - First PPR - the mail(dated 14th November 2018) came like Russian Phishing mail in my inbox. I was so happy but at the same time worried since my mail to ottawa hasn’t been replied.
I decided to send a follow-up mail to Ottawa attaching all the required documents as specified in @niobe77 post.

20th Nov: I logged and saw application/profile update but didn’t see any update
21st Nov: I logged and saw application/profile update and yes I saw that they've included my baby's name on the list of dependants)

22nd Nov: I received a notification for an update on my profile but still didn't see any additional update.

7th Dec 2018- I check nairaland and saw @hachikaru post that he/she received PPR that we should all check our emails. I checked mine and lo and behold I saw the Golden-Indian mail.

Thanks to @Joo2018 and @Newmum0615 for always responding to my mails.

**I’m using my spouse’s moniker cuz I use mine for business here on Nairaland.

Congratulations!! Please what should one do when ones wife is 7 months due and receive PPR?
Should we carry on to make travel plans or inform VO?

I got ITA April 11
.

My two greatest days on this journey was the day I passed my IELTS and PPR.

@Newmum you are good.

@Newmum you are good.

I basically copied the JD in my cv, with little modifications here and there grin

LadyJasper:
Please are there any lawyers in the house willing to help me with a sample of their work reference before I go and copy verbatim what's provided in the NOC?

I just need a sample to construct mine with because the job duties provided for in the NOC are what I do but I don't want my work reference to be verbatim.

Just indicate and I'd slide into your DM, it's kinda urgent now.

Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks in advance.

If you are in litigation simple include all the things you do from filling of proecess in court to legal representation
If it's corporate law - same
You don't have to even look at the NOC to know your JD. If you need more clarification send me a PM

It's either you know how to paraphrase sentences or you don't. Using someone else's JD to write your own won't make it any easier for you. You may even get into trouble if you don't do it well. No two organisations can have the same wording of a job description even if they are similar job roles. I'd suggest you use the NOC listing and do a thorough rewording of the duties if you must. Another way is to work with whatever you are given from your HR and let that guide you together with the NOC list of duties to come up with something for final sign-off.
Anyone that wants to help with theirs can do so, I just gave my humble opinion sha.

Good morning. I have done EVA and waiting for IELTS result. I plan on creating this profile soon. Can I go ahead to get a reference letter from my current employer before creating profile or receiving ITA? And may I know whom it is to be addressed to?

Check page 1 (of this thread) for a sample of work reference letter. You can use the address there; that was the exact same thing I did.

Getting your reference is entirely up to you. How confident are you of your ielts test? What is your likely crs score? Would you most likely be picked by the next draw or three? How easy is it to get the letter from your company HR? The answers will guide you.

NB: I once read on this thread that a letter no older than 3 months is an ideal timeframe. However, I have never been able to corroborate same from CIC website

Hello guys,

The middle name on my international passport and birth certificate are totally different. Hence, the middle name on my work reference letter and school certificate is different from that on my passport. Will i need a one and the same person affidavit for this?

Congrats @ Fatima.
Please did you provide reference letter too from the company you currently work with? did it cause any uproar?
EA just requested for additional info of reference from current employer. Wondering how to go about it without any suspicion that I will soon leave (you know the process is long and not guaranteed too)

You will need a reference letter definitely it's one of the dpcuments required of EA and it needs to be stamped and signed.
My suggestion is tell them you want to use it for a professional course online in Australia(because it has to be addressed to them I think ) to further studies, dt shouldn't raise much suspicion.

Also be careful with your job description of duties on the ref letter because it's very important. I believe a sample is on page 0 of the thread.

My Story...Long Post!

I heard about Express Entry in 2016 and initially thought it was a difficult thing to venture into. A colleague of mine from work showed me it was possible in March 2017. He introduced me to this thread, it was Part 1 then and he urged me to read the 800+ pages as he had done. smiley. My initial fear was IELTS, I see English Language as a difficult language...lol. When an international body assess your knowledge of English you will know that it's not this our moin-moin English. IELTS did not fall my hand. I knew I had to relearn a lot of things.

I started my ECA in July 2017 with IQAS, I did not have time for WES verification wahala. UI was fast with the processing and my contact person was just too nice. I got my ECA report in October 2017.

I braced up for IELTS when i booked the Oct 14th test. I registered late and had between Benin and Enugu test centres to choose from. I went with Benin, i could not write the test on another day because i had taken a 5-day leave from work and hubby was going to be available to write on that date. So we travelled to Benin from Ijebu ode with our 8 month old baby, booked a hotel and wrote the test in Protea hotel. I was very optimistic that i would smash it, hubby was not sure of his speaking and listening. The results came out I was greatly disappointed.

My score - LRSW - 7.5, 9, 7.5, 7.5
Hubby's - LRSW - 6.5, 8.5, 7, 7.5

After crying i booked for the next available date, Nov 11th in Abeokuta. I knew i had to find time to write that test as i run shifts and had exhausted my leave. Luckily for me, my speaking date was on Friday and LWR on Saturday. I was supposed to be on Night duty on Thursday and Friday. I practically did not sleep for 48 hours straight because i did a 1 hour trip to abeokuta straight from work twice for the two tests. I had my personal effects - toothbrush, soap, clothes, etc in my bag, it was exhausting. I was almost late for the LRW, there were just about closing the doors when i scurried in. After the test, i was not very optimistic. I was busy counting how many answers i was not so sure of and they were up to 7 embarassed. I had to use a knowledge of what i understood from the recording to answer the multiple choice questions (guess work). I came back really sad.

My result - LRSW - 8.5, 8.5, 7, 7. I thanked my God and jumped into the pool at 436 on the 1st of Dec.

I was waiting for hubby's ECA to place us at 444 and my 3 years work experience in Feb 2018 to place us at 472. Alas, on the 1st of Jan, i logged on and saw our CRS score at 469 shocked. I raised alarm o because ITA was knocking on my door and GS advised me not to submit my application even if i get ITA until my 3 years work experience fully matures...Bless her.

ITA came on the 10th of Jan then the struggle began.

POF: we did not want to use gift deed until we exhaust all our options, we were just gathering our money small small we had the complete money on the 1st of March (our salary and savings). I got my friend who is also my account officer to help me get the letter in CIC format. She said it would take 2 days as it would have to go through their legal department because it was not the norm. I said okay and gave her a draft of what i wanted. I combined the sample i think Newmum posted and one i got from canadavisa forum. The letter came through, i did not read it to see that they put the wrong account balance in one of the months, thank God hubby pointed it out and it was corrected.

reference letter: I had obtained one reference letter in July 2017 from my HR friend at that time and i was prepared to use it. But a debate ensued on this thread about the validity of work reference letters especially a current job. I searched on YouTube and found out from an immigration lawyer that it is only proper to submit a work reference letter that is not later than 3 months after ITA if it is a current employment. I knew i was in for it because my HR friend had been transferred and a new HR was there. I still met him and showed him the old letter that all i needed was the current date and his signature and stamp. To my surprise, he obliged me willingly and even asked me to put him through the whole process cheesy. Our generic letter head does not have an email address so he happily gave me his business card. Bless him.

Medicals, PCC, Studio 24: I did this 3 at once in Lagos. Our boy was cooperative enough to take a passport photo with his head straight smiley. Those guys are professionals. I got both the soft copy (for post ITA, 35x45 mm i suppose) and the hard copy (50x70mm) for PPR. I prayed that the hard copy would be valid by the time we get PPR because hubby is not readily available. Thank God.

LOE: I explained the reason why my work ref and bank letters were in my maiden name, i even went to the extent of getting a one and same person court affidavit (which was totally unnecessary); i needed the peace of mind grin. I also filled schedule a form for past visa refusals.

We finally submitted.

ITA - 10th Jan
AOR - 18th Mar
MEP/IP1 - 24th Mar
ADR / IP2 - 16th May (ADR - IMM 5406 form)
Submitted ADR - 17th May
PPR - 18th May (dated 17th May)

I saw the mail today, now i have 5 days to submit cry. Thank God i checked my spam folder today. I stopped checking it when i got ADR in my inbox so i ruled out the possibility of getting their mail in my spam. Please do not assume.

Thank you all for your best wishes. This journey tests your patience and the strength of your resolve. It could be through IELTS, ECA, POF, PPR, even settling down. It will definitely end it praise for us all if we do not give up. kiss kiss kiss

Thanks to everyone on this thread, the contributors and encouragers. We are one big family.

Newmum i am looking forward to the express entry nairaland alumni group you want to start up in Cannyland wink and your PPR announcement with happytbaby, ethelia and all those awaiting PPR.

God bless us all! smiley
inspired, lol over gingered, God bless you more

God bless us all! smiley

Please guys, i have some couple of questions make una no vex

1. I want my spouse (PA) to use my account for POF. Sending POF to her account will not make sense due to some reasons.I think using my account is better. Please i need a sample of the letter of authorization for her to use my account. I have drafted something but i feel i didnt capture it well. Please can someone help me with a sample?

2. She has the experience in the required NOC but her company is a small one man company with no web presence and customized email address. I wonder how CIC will confirm the reference letter. Is it better to notarize any reference letter they give her? Will it make things easier?

See answers below:

1) would be better if you share what you drafted and we can help you 'flesh it up' (in the words of Newmum0615)

2) Wifey doesn't have to be working at an MNc before her reference letter is valid. She should get her reference letter, then add any proof of employment she has. E.g. Pay stubs, bank statement showing salary payment or employment letter. Anything related to the work she can find is fine.

House! How do I claim point for work experience where I get paid in cash. I can always secure a reference letter but there is neither a bank statement nor pay slip to show for remuneration as we get paid in cash.

GlitteringStar LITERALLY just posted a link of a sample letter she used. Like this very day. I don’t understand how you missed it.

Welcome to part 3 of this thread, Like the Phoenix, Part 2 must go down for part 3 to be born (Although the info in Parts 1 and 2 remain priceless and Must/Ought to be read by any serious applicant.Part 2 was wonderful. Lots of lovely people offering great advice. Each in their own unique style. You guys rock!!! You know yourselves.

For enquiries relating to likely interview questions and self evaluation, kindly go through both parts 1 and 2 of this thread so you have a fair knowledge of answers to such questions.

Kindly note that this is a do it yourself thread. Nobody here is an agent. Nobody is a VO, hence cannot authoritatively predict your chances of visa success .

Happy reading and good luck to all the honest visa seekers!

Finally, Lying on your ds 160 or during the interview is misrepresentation and a crime. This thread's aim is not to teach / coach applicants on how to lie. The truth is ALWAYS the best course of action no matter the situation. Please DO NOT ask about how to misrepresent on this thread.

I'm grateful to God that I am alive to create this new part. And for the several friends I have made hereon.
