honeric01: Spot on.
what about Halilovic? I also wish he's promoted. But I doubt it really as we are looking outside for Xavi's replacement bearing in mind that we have Rafinha and Roberto too in the squad. He might end up being loaned out for at least a season. |

honeric01: I concur too, he plays almost like Thiago albeit he's not as strong as Thiago but less card prone like Thiago.
i just want us to look into this.
i like the guy o.. Honestly the guy is good, his ability to take on a player, give a final pass and score brilliant goals with power shoot is second to none. Imagine playing him alongside Rakitic when don Iniesta is having a break. |

Badosqi: All ronaldo's critics sef. Why finger Ronaldo out for madrid failure dis season? Is not like his performance was below par this season. Over 60 goals plus 22 assists yet the all blame is on him. Is that even reasonable?
Ronaldo is only a single unit in a 11 man team. Why not rate the performance of other player starting with other attackers till you get to the keepers.
But Hell No you won't do dat. The whole would rather go to Ronaldo.
Look at the contribution of Neymar over 30goals this season and Suarez goals and assists plus Messi's share too. Perfect right? That is when other units are functioning. Just remove only Neymar's contribution this season and see how it would have affected barca. Will it now be reasonable to blame Messi for Neymar's failure? Or blame Messi for Barca's failure. No it will be sound so unreasonable because there are other units(midfielders, defenders and keepers) in the team working together. So you want other players to be blamed when it's obvious your king does not wish them well. When it's obvious he does not want any other player to score. Instead of helping others players grow such as Messi does to Neymar, Suarez and co, he rather criticises them for making any attempt. And you still want them to share in the blame abi? Good for you really. |

larryChockode: what barca needs right now is a strong centre back because the defense still looks shaky even though they have conceded few goals. Cahill woudn't be a bad buy thats if chelsea are willing to sell. i must say, i haven't been really impressed with "rakitic". Physically good but he lacks that pace which barcelona needs right now in the middle. If you ask me, ill'd say sell rakitic and bring in "marco varatti". if gundogan deal has being pulled through thats great news! varatti & gundogan would be a awesome pair in the middle assisting offensively and defensively with busquet. this should be my team for next season starting line up: /cladio bravo/ /dani,pique,cahill,alba/ /varatti,busquet,gundogan/ /messi,suarez,neymar/
subs:vamalen, batra, macherano, sergi samper, denis suarez, rafinha, pedro, stegen. Cahil? This is not premiership sir, where defenders just throw their bodies at anything knowing fully it's a must for a player to either shoot or cross. La liga is full of skillful players and I can bet he will be molested game in game out. |

stevemims: Spot on bro,he always does that. But to an extent there is a connectivity to some points he raised. Why xavi nor fit retire for barca? Then look elsewhere to develop his coaching career, afterwards come back to barca as a coach. Im a barca fan, just my two cents. He still wants to be playing regular which can not be guaranteed at Barca anymore. He knows he needs to allow the younger ones grow as he's not ready to hang his boot yet like Puyol. Even Pep left for Xavi to take over. |

stevemims: Kris Voakes: Is €30m really worth the moral bankruptcy? As part of the greatest Barcelona side there has ever been, Xavi has gained untold riches. He doesn’t need one cent of the money. This season alone he has raked in a salary of more than €9m. At this point, one could move the decimal point in his bank account and he would hardly notice. If it is about extending his career, there are thousands of more worthy clubs across the world that would jump at the chance to employ him. Why Qatar? Why promote this World Cup? It is a frankly baffling decision. Xavi should have exited Barcelona in the most memorable of fashions, being hailed as one of the greatest players of his time and an icon of which the football world could be proud. Instead, he heads off on the kind of self-serving mission it is impossible to justify. Goal.com What a pathetic attention seeking write up! He can go to anywhere he chooses to. |

dmcdad: Gbam! Anyone dreaming of having Xavi replaced will dream forever. We need a veey good player to man that Xavi's role or position, not his replacement. Xavi is Xavi, and then the rest.
Besides, Enrique's game is not centred purely on possession. So, having a hybrid player(who is possession based and attacking wise also) like the ones available on the market would be good to go as we don't play full-time tiki-taka anymore. That's just it. Some players leave their footprint in a team and could never be replaced. There's never a replacement for 'Dihno, neither would there be for Messi and same for Xavi. Each player with his own ideas and packages. Let's just get a very good player who can hold on well on the ball, dictate play from the deep and have a very good eye on giving a final pass. One of the attributes of Xavi that stands him out? That millimetric final pass that would never catch a player on offside and still drops at the exact foot of the receiver! #respect Xavi! |

And where does Kagawa play?
Gundogan is like a Yaya to them bro.
He cant do the job of a Xavi IMO so i dont see him fitting into Xavi's position. I doubt if we can ever see any player that would fit in perfectly into Xavi's shoes.we can only get a replacement that would come with his own idea. Xavi is Xavi and can't ever be equalled. |

Have you people forgotten during our last Sociedad match, when he was just subbed in and scored a beautiful goal that finally settled the match? He really impressed me with the way he played against Athletico Madrid. If he can continue in that trend, I see no reason why we should let him go. But the truth is that we can't keep a player against his wish, if he wishes to leave then let him go. |
