Those two goals had such beauty and finesse to it,I don't even know which one was better..But one thing is clear, they will both be in his top best goals!! I dey always think na Messi wicked oooo, not knowing Suarez too na so so wicked person. |

It's very good to have more players whose moments of magic can save us in Neymar and Suarez unlike when we only had Messi to give us such moments. Messi is relieved of the burden and the god of soccer now enjoys himself any how now. |

dmcdad: Messi is a god! I sometimes wonder why people keep sinning by comparing Ronaldo to him. Neymar is class! Although many say he is shìt, and others tag him as "Youtube Player". Suarez is a boss! His 2 goals were classic! MATS is the undisputed number 1. It's only a matter of time. Pique is a rock! Best defender in the world at present. No arguments. Masche is steel! If you need guarantees at the back, then he is the right man for the job.
We played very well, and had a complete game. The team, as well as Lucho deserves to be praised.
Més cue un Club Força Barça! And Xavi? Xavi is Xavi! |

David Luiz thought he was playing same Suarez he knew back then in the EPL, I could help but laugh at the way he was ridiculed twice. I so much admired the subs Lucho made today, seeing Masch playing closer to the opponent half was a joy to behold. Great game I must confess and let's prepare for the semis. |

Abeg make dem free am make he dey enjoy him life jor There are some names that could not just be forgotten in the history of the club. bykebyke: Messi against big teams : playmaking, scoring, assisting, teamplaying
Ronaldo against big teams - waiting for tap-in - waiting for a player to make all the effort and then give him the ball to score.

honeric01: The coach clearly stated that the game was crazy and he needed to claim possession, hence the introduction of Xavi..
why Neymar and not any other player? that is left for the coach to answer since he's closer to the players than most of us.. we can only guess that he took the wrong decision since you can't say the result would have been different if it was another player he removed.
so until I am in his shoes and know what the players discuss before games, telling you who I would have removed won't be a fair game. Okay bro! |

honeric01: Some of una funny I swear.. so because you support Barcelona, it automatically means all other clubs are bad? hmmm common sense share....too expensive..
We are talking form here, you are talking names...
have you watched any of the last 8 games sevilla played?
If they weren't potent enough to cause our defense hell, would those mistakes come to life?
the way some of you disrespect your opponent is what is actually causing all these. until 90 mins, do not give a walkover to your club especially a team looking to get the UCL ticket. I guess you still don't get the point of debate up there bro. The argument is not on the fact that we had a draw, but what possibly led to the draw. In some few matches before the last, so many of us clamoured for Neymar to either be taken off or even rested because of his off form. But going by his play yesterday, he was a constant threat to the opponent, pushing their defence back by his constant trouble. If he was not taken off, yes, Sevilla might equalise but we might have also scored a winning goal. So, it's a two way thing. May I humbly put this question to you: would you have taken off Ney for Xavi last night or someone else were you the coach? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 7:37am On Apr 12, 2015 |
I was unable to watch the match, but trust me to follow it live via my phone. Immediately I read Ney was pulled off for Xavi, I asked why and what for? We were leading then and the coach wanted to have more control in the midfield, an idea that was very okay. But to have traded the much lively attack for the needed control was the error not forgetting that their active defence had to be pushed back. @JP, at this juncture, hardly would you see any cule criticising Lucho these days since he had maintained balance in the team. But to say he didn't make mistake last night is not acceptable even after he himself had admitted he made one. We are human and as such are liable to error at one point or the other. He made one last night and the team paid for it. No one said we will never drop points, but you will agree with me that dropping points as that of last night could be costly at the end of the season. |

homesteady: Iniesta has never been a player with high stats even when he was playing as an advanced attacking midfielder, so you should not expect him to do so now because - 1) he is more central 2) he has more defensive responsibilities 3) Lucho tactics has kinda made our midfield less important! 4) He is old now!
He can't just be sold na, he should be there to groom Rafinha! What many don't know is that Barca don't just sell their home grown boys anyhow, especially the proven ones. Unless they decide to leave on their own. It's a way of giving respect to them for what they have done for the club. Players like Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi are living legends, and you can't afford to treat them anyhow. Wonder why Xavi is permitted to make his own decision? |

[/color] barackohandso: You've watched Montoya play a lot of games over the years. How will you rate him? In those years, he showed some signs of readiness to step into the position but lost complete confidence as the years went by due to few matches played. He might not be the kind of player we'd hoped for, bt certainly he's not been helped either by the bench. Why not let him go where he would have more playing time? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 11:07pm On Apr 08, 2015 |
barackohandso: Call a spade a spade. Pedro is finished. We all knew what he could do like 4-5 years ago. Montoya is just average at best; for all his substitute appearances, he hasn't done enough to give all the managers he's played under a second thought. Is Rafinha also not a substitute player? Pedro is not thes same player anymore. But I beg to disagree on Montoya, using Rafinha as comparison is unfair on the guy. They are both substitute players but one often plays even as starter and sub while the other hardly touches the ball. |

Yet Messi was far more excellent than Ronaldo, yet Messi was praised all day, all night. What am I saying? Without a goal, Messi is still a bigger genius anytime, anyway.
