University of New Mexico. Saw 2 attachments and thought one was my acceptance and the other my "funding" letter so I hurriedly opened it. You can imagine my shock when I saw "I regret" somewhere. I could have reported it but I came online and saw you celebrating PennState, so I went back to silently moan.

I guess it is -2/8 now for me.

And it's Penn State breaking the ice!!!!! Acceptance with full funding for first year. Subsequent funding dependent on 3.0gpa blah blah and availability of funding..... Now I am relieved!!!! Thank you guys for all the encouragement!!!

Another decision (acceptance) came in from Texas A&M University Kingsville, with $1,000 scholarship and in-state tuition. Still very much hopeful for admission with better funding...

Thanks man. You know, I considered almost everything you have said. But the Grad coordinator told me Master's is self-funded and that I should apply directly for the PhD. I asked her if I needed to email any Professor to act as an adviser and she said no but that I should mention his name in my SOP and that it would be relayed to him.

In the course of my research I noticed CuteMorgan got into their Chemistry doctorate program directly and I didn't hear him talk about emailing any Professors so I felt I was in order. His admit and funding emails trooped in back to back as well so I believed they didn't sell me a false word. He did graduate with a 4.55/5 and I didn't however.

I guess they would give a couple Chincos with 169-Q 145-V 2.5-AWA the admit. Nothing spoil. Finally na just 1 admit pesin need sef. Getting all admits is just for self-aggrandizement.

See the highlighted part? I dread it more than Jamaican hair especially as the dollar is expected to rise to 650N before the year runs out.

@bolded, that's right! However, your GRE scores are higher than his, so it should suffice, even if your CGPA isn't up to 4.55/5.00..... I am still wondering why they rejected your application...

Well like you said, one can't really be sure of what they look for.

Rejection from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute...

I knew their acceptance rate is so small........Application fee waiver was the only reason I gave it a trial. Life goes on........we await more acceptance and funding....

My status so far:
K-state: Admitted for Msc (No funding). I emailed my assigned faculty advisor but I'm yet to get a reply till now.

Florida State University: Admitted for Ph.D. (still awaiting funding decision)

Very strange!!! Bro, LSU just lost one great candidate......I'm sure they just released you for better offers from the other schools. It's well boss! PhD Chemical Engineering right?

My profile on their site still indicates that they haven't received my transcript, and admission decision says "missing document", which is probably my unreceipted transcript. Discouraged on seeing your admission decision....

....I am on my kneels begging u to stop ripping off your hairs cos they won't grow back by the time your admission/funding notification flies in , soonest. Your schools are top notch and they don't admit on rolling basis...

I have received four decisions from my applications, they all admitted me without funding yet.

Colorado State University - Jan. 24
Kansas State University - Feb. 7
University of Wyoming - Feb. 10
Tennessee Tech. - Feb. 14

K-State is asking me to send a bank statement though before an admittance can be processed.

I still have two more decisions to go (U of Utah and Vanderbilt)

One admit from South Dakota State University.

Surprisingly, that is the most recent application which I reluctantly submitted few days ago. I completed the application and ordered for my evaluated transcript from WES to the school on 8th of this month. I was utterly surprised when I saw the mail from them was a decision mail. I guess they admit on rolling basis...

However, no funding yet. The advisor assigned to me happen to be the Program Coordinator. I was told to contact my advisor for inquiries on funding which I already did.... his response was that I have been automatically entered to the selection pool for the departmental graduate teaching assistant, and that the positions will be announced at the beginning of the fall semester...

I pray it comes out well...

Can you remember when you submitted your application to TAMUK cos I also applied for MSc Mech Eng and yet to hear from them. Did u send your official transcript from your school or was the admission decision made with your unofficial transcript? Please I sent you a pm....

No, you would have to scan a clear copy of d original and send to them via fax. Get their fax digit from their site and use this free fax service to send your certificate to them. I swear I didn't know Access had the same provisions GTB did. In my mind I felt I had exhausted the $100 limit and other banks work at 450N/ $ or thereabouts. So I actually thought N8000 for TOEFL by B.Y MAFIT was a bargain. I am regretting now. N64000 just like that!

Additional Score report for TOEFL is $20, while it's $27 for GRE.
