NYSCRe: How Safe Is Adamawa State For NYSC? by Segtobi(m): 9:24pm On Mar 18, 2022
My wife was posted there last year March. Due to the short time we had, she boarded a flight to Abuja. From there to Jos on that same day. Then she left Jos the next day for Adamawa. She didn't encounter any challenge on her way there, but on her way to the Camp, she was told by someone to wear any of the clothes she took along, on her NYSC khaki whenever she's leaving Camp.

Then while she was in Camp, she complained so much about the heat. It was so bad Corps Members' phones were getting damaged. Their phones were going off, without being able to switch them back on.

In order to redeploy, she went with a medical report, which helped her secure the redeployment.

We were unable to book a flight for her back to Lagos, because we didn't know when she was likely to finish or when she might even get to Abuja after the Orientation Camp. So, she had to travel back by road. This isn't to scare you, but it was a terrible journey.

She got a bus straight to Lagos from Camp. There were other buses as well, and one of the buses was attacked, but the driver was able to maneuver somehow. The bus was the one behind my wife's. So, it's possible other buses were attacked too. Also, she noticed her bus driver was over speeding. They were all complaining, until he told them he has to get to a town before a particular time so as to avoid being attacked. Hence, the reason he was over speeding.

She got home safely, but she fell ill the next day and it was indeed a scary one.

To start with, congratulations on the new role.

My advice is that you make every of your interactions with them official. Send mails as much as you can. Remember it's a way of documenting things. So, when the chips are down because they have failed to do the right thing, you have your mails as evidence.
RomanceRe: What Make You Invite A Lady And Never Wish To Invite Her Again by Segtobi(m): 3:07pm On Jan 31, 2022
A long time ago, a lady came around to pass the night. When she was leaving the next morning, instead of her to brush her teeth in the bathroom, I noticed she actually brushed in the kitchen, and she was spitting it all into the zinc. I felt so irritated that very day.

I understand the fact that previous posts can be edited. However, a friend of mine checked that page and he saw the picture. Afterwards, he claimed to have checked the page again, only for him to realize the profile has been deactivated. If true, it means the pictures were definitely real.

I still don't understand why Adebola Williams (aka Debola Lagos) is not on this list. He did not only support the "change mantra" in 2015, he worked vigorously for it.

Everything went well. No issue. When it was time to leave, her dad drove because he was going out, and bae and I were heading in the same direction with him, so we had to join him. Five minutes after we left home, I realized I forgot one of my phones at their place. He drove back and we picked the phone. On getting to the bus stop where we were meant to alight, the same phone dropped from my pocket again inside the car, unknowingly. Immediately he zoomed off, I noticed my phone dropped inside the car. Felt so ashamed to even tell bae.

If you understand practical football, u will know that anybody that plays 10 should be able to handle 8 as a role perfectly...
It doesn't work that way sir. I stand to be corrected tho
SportsRe: Burundi Was Too Hard To Crack - Mikel Obi by Segtobi(m): 7:52am On Jun 23, 2019
I really don't understand why many are blaming Mikel. You all should blame the coach for playing him out of position. He plays 10, not 8. He should have played behind Etebo, and not the other way round. However, the coach still deserves some accolade for the substitution which pushed Iwobi back to midfield.

CrimeRe: New Zealand Massacre: Alabi Lateef, Nigerian Imam Who Saved Lives, Speaks by Segtobi(m): 6:42am On Mar 18, 2019
We all need to know this religious/ethnic bigotry is one of the things affecting this country. The same path our forefathers did tread is so filled with youths today, and this makes me wonder if there's hope for this nation to truly rise.

Recent findings have shown this murderer to be an alternative right ideologist, which clearly shows the reason being his action. So, why do we have to judge or view every event from a religious/tribal perspective?

Angelfrost:
There is absolutely nothing normal about it... Please, stop glorifying mediocrity!!!... Mistakes are meant to be pointers for improvements. This is why we continue to retrogress as a nation...

Nigerian Banking Industry is a glaring embarrassment to us and the world as a whole... You think it is only POS? Don't even get me started.
I get what you're saying. These mistakes have always been there, which we all know. The regulators of the sector are doing their best to improve things, though we expect more. But since we're still a long way from there, we just have to make do with what we have.

It irks me (just as much as you) when people complain about this, because they go to the branches to slug it out with people who can do little or nothing about it, and reversal gets delayed.

I'm not glorifying mediocrity, but since we're not there yet, we have to see where we are as a growing process, and this is a norm for us.
BusinessRe: 276,852 Pos Transactions Failed On Christmas Eve —NIBSS by Segtobi(m): 8:54am On Dec 25, 2018
Periods like this, it's a norm for all these to happen. Our banking industry is improving, but we still aren't there yet. I work in a bank, and trust me, I have all I need to spend throughout the festive in cash. No mobile transaction till January.

However, POS transactions are quite complicated. To start with, for successful POS transactions, the merchant won't get the fund till the next day, so it's always difficult to ascertain where the money is. Lots of processes are involved in getting POS reversals, unlike ATM, where this takes just fee minutes, hours or days.

Away from this, Merry Christmas fam...
