Subuhanalahi: SUBUHANAKA YA ALLAHLatin anyone? |
dollypi: she's got legs now.Yes brilliant ! This one means she can stand up and be free of that excruciating back pain she must be having. I predict great things for this one. Beautiful smile too! |
I like the fact that she looks natural and womanly not skinny like some bony models. Everything looks to be in in the right place and the right proportion. am proud of her. she is making headlines for nigeria for the right reasons unlike some international nigerians we know. If they are not in Kirikiri prison, then they must be staying at HM prison residence. Some as we speak are on the next plane back to Niger for their criminal profession. All in the news for the wrong reasons. It's good to see one of our own in the news for the right reasons . |
Fantastical stories here. Anyway sha. .ALl I will say is, those who pretend to get married shall need to keep pretending, because the husband married you under false pretences. I fail to see how he will suddenly become the strong supportive husband. Anyway sha. . You kneel down for everyone in the house while dating, then after marriage start having mouth and fighting those you knelt down for.Like your "submissiveness" wasn't why your husband married you. To top it off, your friends come and insult your MIL's in his house and all is peachy between you and that kind of husband. Anyway sha, fantastic stories.
You said my mind exactly. To me, it sounds like a badly scripted Nollywood movie (your friend insulting your husband's mother in front of your husband ) . Does anyone believe such junk?Thank you for being a realist and for being honest. I rest my case. |
jidegirl12: I never said I am smarter than anybody Jenny....I just mentioned that people that are going thru these situations know better than just insinuations. How do you know I shunned her posts? There are several posts of hers I've agreed with so I don't know what you are talking about.I am happy for you too. I don't get the personal attack thing. Everyone has an opinion. If you dont agree move on. Why the personal insults unless she is jealous of you? |
Kobojunkie: I will ask again . . .Please don't be naive. What people feel and do are two different things. Everyone will agree with you here on NL but whether they do what they claim to do in their homes is another thing. |
Kobojunkie: What culture are you talking about now? All you are doing is making excuses for silly behavior on the part of some Nigerian women. Does culture also mandate the maltreatment of SOME(note Not all women in this condition end up abused) women in the same Nigeria? Is that what you are saying is right in Nigeria?I am telling you that without wisdom , no marriage can work. Western or village marriage. I am not making excuse for anyone. There is plenty of divorce in Nigeria so obviously something is driving couples apart. If you read my postings , you will know I don't support evil. Marriage is a different kettle of fish entirely and no two marriages are the same. Challenges will come daily and without wisdom and understanding, how will you deal with it. Whether you live in the USA , UK or Uba village, you will still need to apply wisdom to your marriage. This is the only point am making. |
/quote] It shouldn't be different but in Nigeria our culture makes it a problem. Families are the biggest contributor in driving spouses apart. If you apply western logic, it will not work here in Nigeria. What people claim to do in their homes are completely different to what they would like to do. Peer pressure from family is enough to turn a marriage boat over. Nigerias aggressive style in my opinion is not the answer here. You start waging war against mama and the next thing you know, mama returns to her village to consult her 'friends' and gbam , your husband starts acting out of character and throws your things out. He announces the end of the marriage , then what do you do? |
jidegirl12: It's happening everywhere not only in Nigeria SELFWORTH, except the man fights for his wife or the wife does that and face the long term neverending consequences and ready to live with it....I am afraid, they will die living in bondage. It is just the truth. We can all keep talking till tomorrow.Yes it happens everywhere but you need to apply wisdom to these kind if situations if you want to enjoy your marriage in peace and not be firefighting all the time. |
Without wisdom the marriage has no chance. If a woman wants to stay with her husband , then she is also stuck with her in-laws. The other woman in every man's life is his mother. If a wife has a problem with her mother-in-law, it's the husband who needs to step in and help fix it. Likewise, if a husband doesn't see eye-to-eye with his in-laws, his wife needs to step in. The person with the primary relationship (the son or daughter, not the in-law) needs to be taking charge . Aggression will only lead to more problems. |
Kobojunkie: So folding her hands and instead praying to God to come down and do the job she is meant to as a wife( with the mouth, hands, and complete brain God has equipped her with), is the solution you have to offer her?Ok. Please what do you suggest? This is Nigeria we are talking about. To deal with your in laws , you need wisdom. Without wisdom, you will be back on the singles market in no time. |
Tell her to go down on her knees and pray hard that God intervenes before its too late. A weak husband is a powerless man before his parents. If he wanted to jump to her defence, he would have done it by now. she needs her husband support to build any meaningful relationship with her mother inlaw. If he doesn't jump in to defend her, tell her to devise a strategy of peace and get him to enforce it. Back it up with prayer. If she doesnt stop the rot, she stands every chance of losing him to his mother . It's nothing new. It happens all the time. She won't be the first or the last. |
coogar: ireland is not britain....I was wondering too. When i read the post i was surprised. As for Ireland, all persons resident in Ireland are entitled to receive health care through the public health care system, which is managed by the Health Service Executive and funded by general taxation. In addition to the public-sector, there is also a large private healthcare market. |
Lakayana: I did not point accusing fingers at others i said we as a people should check ourselves that includes me too. Together we shall make our society a better place.l agreed with you then and now. |
this reason join why oyibo people dey call africans blacks monkeys.
I don’t see any monkeys on this forum so who exactly are you referring to with this comment? This is not a race issue but a humanity issue. In my opinion, as you say with your mouth so it shall be unto you. |
lol... una wan crucify me as you can see, we all blamed the hospital personnels..
Please i dont want any wahala on this trend o. This is a sad story. I heard a similar story on Friday at work . Its just too much for me to bear .Am just stating my opinion. Its not for me to blame anyone. |
how can you even save a life without money ?? Money comes first brother.. Even the doctors pay huge fees to get the training... Do not be decieved by a mere motto
The system then needs to change if suddenly money is more important than saving lives. How do other nations do it then? Status quo is not even an option. |
Lakayana: What the hospital did is evil. But we as a people should check ourselves too am very sure if the husband had gone to meet relative for any help no matter how little they will tell him stories of how bad the economy is now. Those same people would be ready to bring any amount for the burial and go the extra mile to buy clothes for they are sure faces they have not seen in ages will surface. We as a people should change our attitude too.If you want to make a change, take a good look at yourself, then make the change No offence intended. |
Sad news... disgusting & heartbreaking.. In fact, I don't know how to insult these people...omg But lets not forget something here, hospital/clinic is a business... the sole aim of a business is to make money. Its not easy to run a business out of pity (even seun osewa cannot give me a free space to place my advert). They might have faced alot of losses. However, this particular incidence is a broad day murder, atleast the husband was able to pay something. There are times you have to change the rules just to a save a life.. Thats the purpose of our existence btw..
If this was your sister, how would you feel? How many people carry that kind of money in their pocket in case of emergency? |
frosbel: Honestly this is what makes me go 'raving mad ' , N20K OnlyLife has never had any value in this country. If it did, it would not be in the shambolic state it is now. Money is more important than life in Nigeria. It’s a fact. A few days ago, I said it on another post that giving birth in Nigeria safely is by the special grace of God. |
HQ: This is just plain wicked. This was an emergency. They should have at least stabilise her first before anything else. |
This is terrible. Its nothing new. It happens all the time in Nigeria. When accident victims get to the hospital, the first thing they ask for is deposit even if you are gasping for breath. If you are unconscious, they will still be asking you to go and register. No duty of care at all from the profession given the gift to save lives. Its all about duty of money. I wonder how some people sleep at night. |
Goshen360: STOP THIS RUBBISH, THREATENING PEOPLE. And what if he fulfills destinyDont mind them. They all claim to know 'God' but God DOES NOT KNOW them. Luke 13:22-27 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”He said to them, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers |
bankylan: I went through all your posts on Nairaland just to confirm my opinion of you, and I am not surprised. I am sure you have lost hope in life, maybe because of the poverty and frustration you have suffered in life. Calling a Pastor you don't know a thief is the height of mental degradation. If at all your problem is hereditary, you should not be too boastful of it by saying things like this on Nairaland. Please read my posts again and make sure you understand. It is not written in Greek language. You are wrong because I actually know Pastor Matthew and have met him several times which shows you know nothing about me or my life so all your assumptions have been dumped into the bin where they belong. Please WRITE THIS DOWN TOO. You cannot speak into my destiny because you are not my God. I serve a living God and He said by their fruits we shall know them. Your comments (your fruits)prove you know nothing about God. Your comments, values, threats including everything you stand for is not biblical and gives you away as a Bible basher. I am on point that many people like you profess to be a Christian but DO NOT KNOW GOD. Stop worshipping your Pastor because he is an ordinary man. He is fallible just like you and I. I love my pastor too but he is not my GOD. I rest my case. |
Behind bobo: 24hr miracle? Why not $24 instead of $240That is exactly my point. The one i watched on TV was also titled 24 miracle anointing based on faith. It was not about money and there was no request for money. I just listened to the word and it really lifted my faith . He prayed at the end of the message for everyone including those watching and within 3 days i got a new job out of the blue. Its faith that moves God. I guess some gullible Nigerians feel they need to part with something to be 'in faith'. Who knows why (probably greed) they fall for these stupid lies but then again God Himself said my people perish because of lack of knowledge. |
jamace: There you go again, making monetary profits instead of winning souls for Christ. Too bad.I am convinced by many of the comments here, that many people are Christians but they do not know God. God loves souls. People love money. The two will never meet. |
Whats all that about? All churches do that. Inclusive of Redeem. It is not by force, so, what are you crying about? If you have you give, if you dont, you sit still. When they call for special offerings, it could be for specific projects, programmes or some community work somewhere. Why do you all assume it is so they could defraud people? People willingly give millions, because they have been so so blessed, but because you are broke and poor, you think it is a taboo or 419 for people to give money in church. SMH. If you understand the principle of giving, you will every week look for the nearest church to give something to, but if you dont, you will continue to think like a pauper and blame yourself when you find people progressing from God's hundred fold blessings.
Some good points all muddled up with personal feelings. You need to be careful not to mix scripture with your personal opinion. Where in the Bible does it ask you to give a particular currency or amount? The word of God is our standard as Christians so anything outside the Holy Bible is not His WORD. So please confirm the scripture and verse . |
bory09: Where you sow thou shall you reap. Where you work thou shall you enjoy. Give and it be given unto you. Everything has gain so my people stop criticising.Where does the scripture says this? Many people are Christians but do NOT know God. Their Bible remains under their pillow and all they know is what their Pastors say NOT what God said. |
bankylan: ONLY THE POOR,BROKE, FRUSTRATED, JOBLESS, VISION-LESS GUYS CRITIZISE MEN OF GODJust like you eh? |
Who are these people anyway fighting for publicity at all costs? |
This Social Networking madness is taking over duty of care to other human beings. |
Zikkyy: this was a special 24hour blessing session denominated in foreign currency. if you want to fast track your blessings you pay more.So we await , your testimonies in $-fold. I will be happy to eat my words. |
