I disagree. I put it to you that these men are VERY rare. I am yet to meet one like this.

In my experience, they start out acting all righteous, but once they get close to you, they don't see pre-marital sex as a big deal. If you want to be very 'churcheous' around them, they accuse you of "carrying church on your head". It is for these reasons that I don't date. It's just not worth it.

I agree.

My sister please read Elisabeth Elliott Passion and Purity . You will be blessed.

If you think this is unusual, please read Passion and Purity by Elisabeth Elliott.

If you are obsessed with sex, self and more sex, you must read Quest For Love by the same author.

As many sleep around with any and everything like dogs, there are millions whose sole and only desire is to please God not self. Purity is part of who they are. For them, this is normal.

My Brother, calling off the strike like you proposed is a good thing, but what about their demands?. The Goverenment need to show commitment also. Listen, ASUU did not embarked on this strike without a due cause. Our leaders sent their children out of Nigeria to study and thereby undermining our educational development. Their demands are for the betterment of our education. Let the Government show concern please.

If the government sticks to its guns, are the lecturers ready to deal with the consequences?

Even when the government agree only a few greedy people will benefit from the change.

Cooldude Y2J: If only d ASUU president has called off d strike immediately after d meeting wit GEJ his death would have been averted but who are we to question God, may his soul RIP.

God didn't ask them to continue the strike. The strike continued because of selfishness and not selflessness.

God is not a supporter of evil.

mercieblinks: THE CASUALTIES OF ASUU STRIKE!!!
The ongoing industrial action by University Lecturers has claimed one of its biggest casualty. (The casualties are not only those who have been kept at home, the casualties are not only those whose wards have been rendered 'useless' for more than 16 weeks ... The fighters are also casualties...) The sudden death of the former President of ASUU Dr. Festus Iyayi via an auto crash enroute Kano for ASUU's NEC meeting is indeed the 'Biggest casualty". There was no need running around the country. Roads are in dilapidated condition and ASUU members know this. One has to be careful traveling around for 'trivial' issues. This strike is easy to be called off or sustained. Since the various chapters have voted, the votes should have just been communicated to the National leaders and they can make their input whether or not to suspend the ongoing strike. This is jet age and there are different ways to pass information. Moving from Ondo to Ibadan, Abuja to Markudi, Ososo to Sokoto, Benin to Kano e.t.c in the name of agitating for better education is quite risky and uncalled for. This should be a lesson to the lecturers' Union and ASUU leaders should amend these unnecessary processes before industrial actions are embarked on or suspended. We must learn to make things easy for ourselves in life.
May Dr. Iyayi's soul rest in peace. He died in the struggle and in active service!
Aluta continua!!!

I concur.

This is spiritual. It's not ordinary.

Who knows how many saints of God are pleading with God this minute to end the strike and remove all the obstacles of progress?

Only the Lord knows what drives these people. God said seek peace and pursue peace. Some so called people are wasting the lives of innocent youths whilst they feed thier greedy ambition. Who knows tomorrow? All these material things can never bring fulfilment. This is what our leaders are yet to understand. You harbour wealth all your life and then God calls you home when you are about to sit and rest.

Most nigerian leaders and people are obstacles of peace and progress. If they had settled this false claims and cancelled the strike, this man will still be alive today. The solution they are looking for up and down the country is staring back at them in their mirror.

There is no indispensable man.

MOST Nigerians have no integrity and spirit of excellence when it comes to anything.

Its a fact. Any one who denies this has never worked with them before.

My sisters wedding decorator was 4 hours late despite being booked 8 months earlier. Her excuse was that she had a flat tyre and nearly ruined the whole day. She never called. We only found out when we called her. No apologies nothing .

OYINBOGOJU: No matter what you say about General Abacha's corruption, the fact is that to any unbiased Nigerian, his wife, Mrs. Maryam Abacha, was the only First Lady ever that deployed her status to seek to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerian women and children. She raised funds to build the HOSPITAL FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN at Abuja that the shameless Aremu converted to NATIONAL HOSPITAL ABUJA. That hospital's name ought to be changed to MARYAM ABACHA WOMEN'S HOSPITAL.

The most selfish, wicked and greedy First Lady is MRS. PATIENCE JONATHAN. That N7 BILLION could be deployed to establish and fund at least 10 maternity hospitals in Okrika and Rivers State.

Many people will die of hypertension before the next election. It's s fact. Every propropaganda of the opposition of the government is magnified by all the small minded people on NL. When the Abachas were in power the same gullible people were criticising every move Mrs Abacha made. Now they are singing her praises.

Some of the sadistic people on here don't even know what a billion naira looks like that's why they are calling the funeral a 7billion naira event. Ignorant pigs! They are ready to feed on any stupid information without thinking it through first. These are the so called 'leaders' of the future.

It has already spawned a thread in family section even before appearing on nl.

I think most nigerians arent used to the idea of a husband and wife being together, its a strange concept to them.

All Nigerians know is shouting and shouting. Many of those criticising thier closeness as a couple probably have never seen such intimacy in their own families so how can they understand.

Romance / Re: Guys Don't Like Dating 'born-Again’ Ladies: Why by SELFWORTH: 11:35pm On Nov 01, 2013
duality: The world is constantly attacking the church.

The yardstick for the world must be different from that of the church, else it loses its value.

Jesus was never like the pharisees, But the Pharisees expected him to be like them.

The Op has some valid point, but has misfired. Go to the world and see the sorrows of the so called sharp, non born again ladies. Have they all gotten married? You should know the answer.

God's standard is to protect and preserve his own. the wisdom of man is always foolishness before God.

Remember Adam/Eve and the forbidden fruit. Immediately she tried to rationalize it, she lost it. It's that simple.

Dare to be different, Daniel was different, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were different.

You are celebrated for your difference and not your similarity with the world.

God Bless.

Brilliant post. The best yet!

djeezy: Is this a thread to bash born again ladies? Op, I do not agree with all you have written above but some points are sorta valid to some extent. I believe everybody is attractive to somebody. We live in a world where virtues are frowned at. Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it. We have born again ladies who get marriage proposals. Op is simply referring to the extremists.

We should ask the op how many girls he/she knows that acts as she describes.

You are spot on. There are extremists with both sexes.

....The same applies to men.....it's ignorant to show expertise on women behaviour when you have no evidence to back up your assertion except innuendo.

This is a NL syndrome. There are women haters and men haters. They based thier arguments on one single event in their life.

I tell you you have seen nothing of the world if you think like that.

....its better to speak for yourself. Just to remind you that you know nothing of me or my family. You only know what YOU can do not what the next person can do. I say its sad you live in such a small world that all the women in your life are hypocrites. Your world is VERY SMALL.

musiwa112: jonathan does not want to open the universities because 39 universities involve. the rest are private universities or state. i assume they are open. there are 80 universities that i believe are still open.

It only affect just about 30% of the total universities population. that why Jonathan is not bother about it.

70% of nigeria student are paying for their universities education already. while 30% of the student are using this federal universities.

government would prefer to close them down the 38 universities....

Don't tell me you are a university student too because from what I can read, you need to go back to nursery school.

It's an illusion. That's why God looks at the heart of man rather than superficial things that human beings see upfront.

Does this apply to all the women in your life. ..including your family because i can tell you that you can't generalise. The perfect human being is yet to be born.
