I think she did the right thing by flagging up this issue. She doesn't need to blow her own trumpet so its fair.

I think nollywood should start its own benevolent fund or something to support all actors/actress's during difficult times. Nigerians are naturally selfish and tend to think only about their next house or land .

Lack of the fear of God.

When people do not fear God, things will fall apart at every level whether be it leaders, councils, security, personally, school, universities, public organisations etc. it's a cancer that eats into the fabric of the society at every level.

It's a simple fact but true.

Israel in the bible asked for a king when they had God and even till today they have no peace. They rejected God for a man king and paid dearly for it and are still paying for it now. Nigeria is on a path to destruction and only the mercy of God that can halt it. It's gone beyond what any one person can solve.

Many people on this thread are still quoting all things forgetting the creator of Nigeria itself.. Since 1960, none of those things have made a positive impact that is sustainable in the long term.

It's only divine intervention from God that can help Nigeria .

Knowledge9000: You think the kidnappers are not tech savvy. These are educated people with firm knowledge of modern technology. Have you asked yourself why the police could not pinpoint their exact location after series of phone calls made? They are aware of the G.P.S tracker and cash destroyer (device that explodes and destroys the cash few minutes after collection...can be made to explode after 30mins, 1hrs or thereof). The downside is that when they think that you are trying to outsmart them by doing either of these mentioned above, then they will teach you a good lesson by killing the victim. The police know this better and always advise you to give them what you have.

There are many ways to outsmart them. Nigeria is just a weak country. We have the brains but only utilise it for the wrong things. This could never happen in a civilised country .

You need to let a confidant in your family know. This is the advice given by my solicitor otherwise when the inevitable happens everyone will have a good reason to lay claim to a share. Especially in a money worshipping society like Nigeria .

Appoint an executor as well (not a close relative) and share your wishes with them. Give them a signed copy .

Experience has shown:

1. Family tend to grab everything left by the husband even when there is a will becos they know the court of law in Niger is not better than the local buka
2. Most men believe they are immortal so don't write a will
3. Even when they write a will ,they do not make their wishes known to family members hence chaos descends the moment they pass on
4 The will if it exist is never fully accurate e.g excludes all those illegitimate children who suddenly turn up at the graveside looking so much like the deceased
5. No life insurance policy so it can be a struggle all the way
6. Not every child will appreciate what their parents did. Some believe its the duty of the parents to maintain and keep them
