Don't know what she is trying to achieve with this picture but I say "were dun wo loja sugbon ko se bi lomo".

Yes, I agree she is a form of art but only for those in the "world".

Posing provocatively and posting the pictures online so that strangers can stare and fantasize about you is not only demeaning to everything she stands (including being taken seriously in her career ) but also shows she lacks self respect.

I wish to remind all the shallow and naive minds on NL that beauty is in the richness of the heart and goes beyond physical appearance.

I am almost certain that 89% of the nasty comments on this thread are from women. (Women bitching against women )

No wonder they say 65% of African marriages are broken by family interference.

I have said it before that most NL members are inexperienced and have low IQ. What do you know about what she has been through? How many people on this thread know her personally? How many people here know the intricate details of her marriages? How many women on here have been widowed in their young age. Yet, you come online and judge and expect men to respect your emotionally flawed opinion? What you cannot accept in your own marriage, you like doing it to others marriage.

Now I know why my father banned everyone from discussing anybodys marriage at family meetings. He said women are the author of their own misfortunes. They want to dominate their marriage plus those of their male relatives.

All the bitching women on this thread are the kind we will bind at night vigil tonight . That God should keep their lives 'busy' so they won't have time to put their noses in other people's business. Those who don't change (and want to choose wives for other people) God will execute judgement against.

Politics / Re: Protest Over Death Of Nigerian In UK Prison Custody by SELFWORTH: 6:30pm On Apr 24, 2013
Niger people. Me, me and me.

Generation after generation instead of getting better it gets worse.

Selfishness is in our veins and in the core being of our existence.

Someone died , and all you can read is some people boasting about where they live. Some people are even fighting like their lives depend on it. No sensitivity whatsoever.

The thread was opened to raise the profile of this case not for people to come here and boast about their knowledge of the prison service in the UK.

Selfishness (the disease that plagues Nigeria), is best displayed on this thread.

Its a common Sense thing. besides I've lived in more than 3 at some point in life.

And your common sense tells you this can only be a Nigerian woman.

Its either you are a small minded teenager OR

You are not exposed despite your claim to have lived in several countries (which l believe to be a lie).

Like you advocated, common sense is not common.

Imagine, wife beaters and violent men can even come here on an international forum and boast about it so they can be seen as cool..

nembenama: I have seen most of ur egoistic advice including that of my husband. What u guys don't advert ur minds to,is the wife's side of the story and remember no two marriages re the same. Some of you just want this guy to end his union because of problems they can sit down n settle. If he leaves her,is the next woman perfect? He too should be man enough to take some responsibility of the present situation not throwing everything on his wife. What did he do to get her to that state of mind? Rather, than acting the gud guy here, tell us what u did too@op. Nice sunday all

I concur. All those who gave advice here based on a one sided story are obviously immature.

Elai147: The courtship you had was not enough at all. Marriage is not something we should rush into as it involves a lifetime contract. The truth is your wife did not change. She is only unleashing the long concealed characters. A woman can pretend and hide her true self for more than 2 years just to get married and afterwards she will start exposing herself willingly. You should have lived in a relationship like a marriage where you both have to stay together under the same roof for sometime during courtship. I dated my wife for 6 years before we got married. It is the 7th year of our marriage and she has NEVER insulted me even during our courtship but of course we do have arguments sometimes which is normal.

There are so many things that can result to problems like the one you are having. But how do you point out which? The problem may be from you and she may be ashamed of saying it out or afraid of telling you. For example, a woman can be ashamed of saying that she is no longer comfortable with the size of your penis because of bad influence. She may also be ashamed of telling you that you no longer satisfy her well in bed. It may also be possible she is cheating on you as this is very common with women whose husbands are always away and don't spend enough time with their wives like in your own case. There are just too many reasons why a woman will act that way but it will be difficult for you to tell which is the main reason without going through hell.

You can try talking to her like some Nairalanders have suggested which isn't a bad idea but my advice is for you to spy on her to know what is actually going on. You can install a spyware on her phone and monitor her phone activities. I tell you what, in a month, you will be able to find out the problems and make amends where necessary. I know this may sound weird to some people but if you need to find out the truth fast before you loose your marriage then you should consider doing it. It has come to that point where you should consider going to any length to save your marriage, except if you are also fed up with it. With a phone spyware, you can listen in to all her recorded calls, and read her text messages even when she deletes them from her phone. Also, you can monitor her Whatsapp chat log and others. However, in the western world, it is completely illegal to do this without telling her, so be careful.

If you find out that she is seeing someone else then I do not need to tell you what to do. The onus is on you to decide what you want. Anyway, sorry for what you are going true. Good luck.

Unbelievable advice. This is like red rag to the bull.

Okon.akpan:

I think her mother is brain behind all this cos it got out of hand when she came.

This statement is worrying.

You assume your mother in law is telling her what to do without any shred of evidence . You are basing your opinion on your perception that your wife acted differently whilst her mother was around. This makes me think that your mind is working overtime and your imagination has gone wild.

All these ungodly thoughts are enough to set the marriage on its course to destruction.

As a man, you need wisdom to lead your home . Without it, even if you marry a Saint, the marriage will not last.

In marriage you need wisdom, understanding, patience and forgiveness. All you need to sustain your marriage is in you.

No one taught you how to woo her. Am not sure what you expect to learn from a public forum like NL full of all sorts. Judging by all the comments on here, most of them lack basic wisdom. (Never judge on a one sided story )
Family / Re: My Wife Has Changed Negatively, Please Advice Me. by SELFWORTH: 11:06pm On Apr 20, 2013
You can tell there are lots of inexperienced people on NL.

This is a one sided story from someone who is obviously feeling very hurt because of the way things are in his home. Yet everyone is running around on here like a mad chicken with all kinds of advice.

This is how many marriages have been destroyed by advice givers who lack wisdom.

All you need is prayer. Prayer is the key. If you want to both stay in the marriage, make God the focus of your home.

loool, i get your point. But this your logic lost value in 1920. Na the buses they get better husband these days. grin cheesy

Who says those who sleep around like dogs get better husbands? Anyway it depends on whom you serve and put your trust in for a husband . Of course if you lean on your own understanding , then yes you will be left on the shelf . If you choose to rely on God, then you will get to pick the best of the bunch.

I take it you don't know how many people are carriers of deadly sexuallyx transmitted disease and its not exactly written on their foreheads. Continue to risk your life becos you want a husband at all cost.

Everyone is blaming the guy.

What about the girl who cheapened herself by coming to stay overnight and 'sleep' with someone you only just met on Facebook? You indulge in premarital sex with a shallow guy and expect him to treat you like something of value.

To all the ladies out there (Christian and non Christian) learn from this. If you don't value yourself and keep your virginity and body sacred , DONT expect any other human being to value you or your 'goods'.....You will be like a local bus. Men will ride you and get off at the next stop!

They may also leave you with a broken unrepairable engine (deadly sexually transmitted diseases)

It's brilliant that some people are finally standing up to these bullies.

1. So far only the poor people's house are being deemed illegal in all the states.

2. The govt is making these rules as they go along. Today it's legal and we can charge you tenement rate. Tommorow its illegal, so we can, pull it down.

3. They pull down the structures and in most places nothing is put back in its place.

Every governor is now copying Fashola . It's a shame most Nigerians are too weak to mount a legal challenge against these govt bullies.

If 200,000 people storm the govt house, I suspect Fashola and his cronies will think twice before demolishing anything else. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horn.
