mikeywise:UHH!! Are you a politician? I don't understand the offence in that statement. |
flexdee: As for me I think I'll always like to cook my own woman so that I'll appreciate how to eat her better and not other way round. What does this mean? |
ba7man: Its quite sad a lot of people will avoid this thread. If it was about ethnic bashing, it would have gotten up to 20 pages by now. Thumbs up to everyone that at least opened it to read or dropped a point here. It’s because the question is an intelligent one which requires a little bit of thinking and self-analysis from me! me! to us! us! us! And this is not a part of Nigerian culture. Nigeria is a selfish country by nature. Secondly, interest is minimal because there is no opportunity to talk and show which poster is more gutter than the other on this topic. It’s about selflessness. It’s a question that challenges your dreams, ambitions and goals as an individual. There is no opportunity to swear, call women the most disgusting names you can think of and abuse each other parents. In reality, this topic will only attract intelligent people. Have you ever followed one of those ‘sex’ topics on NL till the end? You won’t believe the comments are posted by people born in a country that prides itself on providing its children with good family values. You should be happy not despondent. It’s all about quality not quantity. |
Greater % of Nigerians don't know how to do anything that will benefit others. Volunteering is alien to most people here. All we know is criticize the government, without offering suggestions. We see each other as the source of our predicament. Hence, the none participation of many on this thread. A poor person blames his poverty on the rich/elites(tho this maybe true in the case of today's political class), while the rich blame the poor for being lazy. We need to contribute our quota to see the change we demand to see, after all, whoever will be in government tomorrow will from among us. Our government is a reflection of who we are as a nation!!
TRUE |
centje: Reduce drastically the salaries and allowances of politicians and use part of it to increase that of policemen and teachers. Then the remainder will be channeled into development.I take it, you are a politician because the question is asking what you would personally do in your power as a citizen . |
Many ignorant responses . In these days where promiscuity can lead to death it's interesting that people still hold such loose views about shagging anything in skirt under various excuses. Why bother sleep with someone you love? You may as well sleep with a prostitute. A key part of sex is love. If you love them enough for sex why not love them enough to marry them? No one is talking about dignity and respect for the other party. I wonder what advice they would give if the girl in question was their blood sister or their daughters ? Hypocrisy at its best. It's not biblical . Any girl who sleeps with any and anyone under any excuse simply doesn't respect herself enough. You will be promptly used and dumped like many others before you. Lots of vulgar comments all about women of which your mothers were and is still one. Sorry am off. This thread is for gutter people. |
double08: Thats how you will end up not getting married, what if after marriage you find out the guy cannot have sex what do you do then, cheat on him?what if you lose him to another lady that readily gave him the sex he craved for and they end up getting married. So you sleep with every guy you date as a quick access to marriage. I take it you are immuned against HIV? |
kenono: Ruth did not propose to Boaz, she only provided a platform for a connection between them. And Boaz being a noble man knew when he found the right woman for him unlike most guys now who are only sensitive to sex and bed.I think you mean to say ....sex- addicts and bed-hoppers! |
sadeiyare: We should not forget that the writer of that particular scripture was a man. What about she that finds a husband, like ruth did Boaz, did she not find a good thing ?The scripture is God's word. It is not open to amendment or reverse analysis. His word is final. The bible never talks about "she finding a good husband" so this is no argument. |
adora4u1: And how many guys on this thread have said they MARRIED the woman who proposed to them? It's very easy to answer a hypothetical question!Thank u sis. Most guys would obviously liked to be proposed to for obvious reasons. Whether they are married to someone who proposed to them is another matter. This means its simply a dream of theirs . |
manugbo: i think marriage should be allowed to take its natural procedures. if not im very sure the woman will have to endure and not to enjoy that marriage for the rest of her life .I concur. Ladies be warned. Prevention is better than cure. Not everyman you are in courtship with is husband material . No amount of prayer and fasting can save a marriage that breaks the fundamental rule of the bible. We know but don't speak the truth. |
i will certainly not. if i love her that much,i will propose myself.
Makes sense to me brethren. Couldn't have put it any better myself. |
olaolaking: It is not all about gramma here. The most important thing is communication. We all understand what the poster means. If the gramma is ok but we are not getting the message that is not communication. I hope you know that!I disagree. This is an international forum not a local forum. The key topic should at least have the right grammar. Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well. It's a sad mentality in Nigeria that does not encourage perfection in what we do. How many forums in the wide world will list topics that are grammatically wrong. In addition, the wrong grammar can sometimes give a statement the wrong interpretation or meaning entirely. Quality not quantity ! I am tired o! I blame the moderators. |
mercurie: I believe that Nigerian tradition does not include a lady proposing marriage 2 a man. Its kinda abnormal in dis part of the worldThank u for your honesty. |
olaolaking: I guess your bible is diffrent to mine What portion of the bible say so?Is it ? Please give an example in the bible where it instructs a woman to propose to a man? You are disagreeing with me so support your assertion with evidence. The topic should be rephrased "how many Nigerian men are married to a woman that proposed to them? |
Poster@HR Manager is correct. This is the honest truth. Men are naturally 'hunters' . If you want to be appreciated then wait for them to do what they are naturally born to do. Many posters may say they don't mind but the reality is very different. I am yet to meet a man who told me they are married to the woman who proposed to them either at work, from family or any friend. What we would like to do is often different to what we actually do . |
... It's not biblical. As a Christian, I certainly would not recommend it. |
Anvaller: If ur comment was referring to me, well, if u read my post objectively, u would see what I have actually offered and not what I have to offer. This very little silly attitudes are the reason why we can't make any change as Nigerians. How would u say u don't need an advice when u have big dreams? If u want to make a change, u must be open and be a listener. There is a lot of wisdom in it.....I agree and also that change start with each person. If you want to see change start by taking a look at yourself in the mirror. Then make a change. |
Tlinkz: Adoption is an option, but in an african setting, how many married couples will opt for adoption?Ignorance is the core reason why people will not consider it. |
OYINBOGOJU: I am campagning to oust PDP from Nigerian, that is the only way things could get improved.Change in government is always good for any country . New ideas. New people. New strategies. Risks include new political rogues too! |
obowunmi: I run a company and hire pipu.Same here. Also plenty of prayer. What can we do without God's assistance? Nigeria needs divine intervention . No single human being or political party can solve Nigeria 's problems. |
In the land of the blind.... |
Samabu07: 2011 FIRS revenue was over N3 Trillion and 9 months into 2012 another N3.8 Trillion. Mehn wetin dem dey carry all this money dey do?Easy question. They fund their private aspirations and fill their already overflowing foreign bank accounts . |
hailolive: And if they make up to this which is close to the budget. So why is our lives in Nigeria in abject poverty,Mismanagement, Lack of transparency , and lack of accountability . |
The custodians of the money are the problem. Collection is easy . It's from that point that it all goes crooked. If the FG could give a similar monthly report on how it spends the money it collects each month and each state does the same ,and its all made public, you will be amazed at to the difference it will make. Transparency and accountability . This will be a stepping stone in the right direction. Nigeria's GDP, economic data, income and expenditure for the central govt and at state level is shrouded in secrecy , probably one of the countries that still hides its data and that in itself is a big problem. |
Agiliti: you get mad at him for calling somebody ugly, yet you turn around and call him wicked and a waste of space as a human being. quoting bible verses wouldn't cover up your contradictions. An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages My opinion , not yours. In case, you don't know, you don't have to agree with me so please get a life. |
2sexy: Good advice... But you cant blame him. Some people find it hard to cure their pains and agony. How stupid can u be commenting on rubbish that you or your writer cannot affirm. I can only assume then you are both talking about your personal experience with regards to your parents. I thought this was a forum for the enlightened where people can have genuine and good discussions with. I was wrong. It's full of the kind of people God was talking about in Gen 6: 8-11 . My cousin was right. Its a waste of time. Its full of haters, sadists and shady characters with all the money in the world but no class. This is no forum. Its a playroom for cowards and gutter people. ![]() |
Poster@orikinla Ok. So back your assertion up with data . Where did you get your statistics from ? How many times has a Nigerian man won Mr Universe or America top model or anything of such ? |
seyibrown:I concur. As usual only ignorant NLanders will think he did the right thing. Is looks everything? |
Truckpusher: You againignored ! Silence they say is the best answer for fools!!! ![]() |
Agiliti: think before you speak manGen 6:8-11 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them..” He slept with her, used her then divorced her and then went on further to disgrace her in a court of law , took her money in compensation and called his own blood ugly. Her face is all over the net. What about the poor child in all these . In my opinion, HE is WICKED and a waste of space as a human being. Read the above. Even God regretted creating human beings . |
