only gamble money I can afford to lose on Transcorp base on rumor going round. If the big news come, na another story we go dey hear. You see am for 0.80k+ you no buy, you are talking of Zenith? This game is not for the faint hearted |

Bomboclad: Congratulations bro. I bought a lot of lands on the Lekki axis in 2009 and sold years later at returns in excess of 500%. These days, everyone is into land buying/selling, hence I pulled out, plus the stress of family meetings here and there + all sorts.
I wish you the best of luck with your acquisition. Congrat bro, Make all of us go sell our shares and buy land.Abi Diversification is part of the game. |

tritritri: sale and go buy T.B 10% per annum...before ur tb mature so any tins can happen.. Humm, even your TB could be worthless. , when devaluation occurs. You need TB to diversify. You don't just stay in one market. |

Mcy56: @Agba, please what do you mean by the bolded? I partially disagree with Agba, depending on what you are looking for. If I have reach my comfort level or margin of safety level on a good stock that always deliver dividends. If I could get 14% in dividend per year which currently is higher than TB. waiting in that stock could worth it.Dividend could be reinvested during bear period. A lot is to be considered along various opportunities and associated risks. Bear period is a time for me to play with volume in good stocks. For the hit and runs guys this may not be their take. |

Jejebabaa: For me i have no issue withy market being down for long, as it helps me to buy quality assets at a cheaper price but Devaluation is a no no for me. I was a big time victim in 2015/16 which saw my networth seriously decimated compared to my colleagues. I was actually full time learner then and unfortunately, i experienced it with my hard earned money instead of learning from others to avoid it. The senior friends and colleagues who were older saw it coming and used it to their advantage. Its so pathethic for some of us, sweating and working very hard to save crumbs to invest in naira assets with the hope of cash flow to pay our bills and other expenses that are funded in forex only to see such investment decimated when you tried to repatriate those funds. I was still lucky compared to an elderly friend in Aberdeen who had a good plan to establish a boutique in every capital of the 36 states and FCT, unfortunately this guy and his family was worst hit with the devaluation during that time, imagine them buying goods at the rate of 200+/GBP only to repatriate the funds back to Uk at the rate of 500+/GBP. They had to start closing down all the boutiques one after the other and worse of it all, the guy lost his lucrative job during that oil crises in Aberdeen. The family was hit both ways, the wife shedding tears and they were both depressed. Since that time, i fear DEVALUATION with every breath in me. Once i hear DE, i jaa without listening to the remaining VALUATION. |

Bomboclad: Anyone who understands how ANY market work knows for sure that the current dip is prices is intrinsic in the behaviour of the exchange (interplay of demand and supply). As long as you didn't take a loan to buy shares or your school fees, and as long as the Fundamentals of your purchased stock is sound, then sit back, relax and wait for the reversal, it would come before the end of this month (July) and ye shall smile again. Most important thing is to learn lessons that would prevent a re-occurrence of the status quo (the art of being caught pants down). Dear do not give us false hope July ke? there must be accummulation before any move to the Northern pole. All others are good as long you don't need money for emergency or took bank loan. |

RabbiDoracle: Folks, stay on Dividends paying stocks. You will be relaxed getting dividends and still have your capital appreciation.
As price falls and it tends to give you a higher DY, keep buying if you have cash. This was same thing that played out around 2016 - 2017 and afterwards end of 2017 was the game changer. I see that repeating again.
Dividends are yielding more than Tbills. So use your tongue to count your teeth. It has always being like this from the time immemorial on Nigeria Stock Exchange. I am happy to be here at this time again. The market must bottom up for appreciable progress in capital appreciation. It is a good time to go on rampage sowing into good stocks. Don't be surprised seeing Zenith at N15 and GT at N22, Be greedy when others are fearful. |
