Agbalowomeri: I believe both statements in bold. There is no system you adopt that you wouldn't be dazed but you come out your coma from personal experience. However, it is good to have a grasp of FA and TA so you understand and smile (mischievously) when you see the faithfuls @Agba there are systems that work, systems that are born out of live trading experience over the years. Common sense is important as well. In essence deploy a system also apply your common sense.Obviously you can not win all the time. If there is no system that works, we are all gamblers not investors. I am happy to say that I am happy with what I am doing. Not only in term of money but also in term of serenity. |

Bezzle: Thank you so very much sir. I'm super grateful. Many thanks to everyone who took time to answer my question. See comrade, in this market you need to get a system, and practicalize the system some use back testing to be successful. Read books on technical and fundamental and choose your approach. People telling you sell are right those telling hold are also right. You are the one to make your choice based on books you have read , your rigorous thinking and your experience in the market. I belong to the school of thought of Warren Buffet( Fundamental) having done my own analysis , rigorous thinking and read good books You have actually miss the boat on FO the fundamental are not right again, you supposed to have sold long time ago. So the best is to sell. And move on. I differ greatly to the school of thought of sell on Stop Loss. I have been there. My brother I know not a small thing on technical analysis, However there are systems to manage your stop loss instead of killing your money while the GOOD company is still alive and well. Mind the word in bold. Fundamentalist only cut losses when the edges are going, and they usually bought at GRAVE ROBBER PRICES. Undervalue that is the why I always ask our resource person ( CP) When stock Market are moving together in one direction. If you sell in one and put your money in another. Same scenario will still play out. exceptions are very few like AIICO untill the market bottom out. Many are trading movement of stock price using ( stop loss )while we trade underline securities based on the company edges. Different approaches. Stop loss only apply at the sign of danger to the security underline edge which permanently may affect the price no more. Fundamentalist stop profit and in few cases lose at the changes of edges. Most time if you do it right in buying with good marging of safety you should come out on top. Think about it. However some can not put emotion at bay they must sell because one bank director slap another Director? Friend it is well. |

locodemy: 90% of Nsempa members and Nse investors are having this problem right now.Dont ever think you are alone. My question to you now is ARE YOU IN NEED OF URGENT MONEY? If NO,check the company you invested your money properly for the following:
1.How is the last two quarters result. 2.Do they pay investors dividend annually. 3.What type of business they do,do people like their business model.Do people patronize their services. 4.Who are the management team.Do they have investors in mind. 5.Do they have a good corporate governance with Nse.
If you are not sure of these few outlines, pls do fast and sell off and bear the loss but if you are sure of them you dont need to panic. The general market mode is bearish now and likely to continue.
I AM NOT PANICKING NOW BECAUSE I SAW THIS EARLIER THIS YEAR AND TOOK OUT SOME MONEY FOR OTHER EXTERNAL INVESTMENT.I AM SATISFIED WITH WHAT I AM DOING NOW AND ALSO BELIEVE TO RECOVER MY LOSSES @ STOCK MARKET IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
PLS LET THOSE OUTLINES ABOVE GUIDE YOU ACCORDINGLY. This is to encourage you. Tough time never last but tough people do. In this market there are many ways to win. You have to know that you have not lost until you sell. No panic. One of the guide that a lot of people fail to understand is that all these companies are going concerns ( Very Important). FBNH is a good company, collect your dividend and wait for this bear market to end. Stop looking at the market everyday. Be strongly focus. Probably play the volume game. Some call it average down. However I see it as increasing your stake and future divided. Market will correct very soon. Then you will understand the power of volume game in a bear market. |

“This is incredibly frustrating. There is no way that MTN would have been able to repatriate such a large amount of money without the central bank facilitating it all."
"This smells like a central bank that is not independent of a government that has big fiscal issues."
"It is very strange that the regulator is ordering the dividends be paid to the central bank and not the company that paid them in the first place,” Chief Executive Officer Rob Shuter said, according to a Bloomberg report."
My people this are very heavy matters arising....a lot of our leaders need to be jailed 4 life. The corruption in Corporate Nigeria especially Govt. owned is higher than even what politicians are stealing. The day NNPC/DPR gets a proper AUDIT they would be revolution in Nigeria. What some international companies do will marvel you. Fictitious agreements ( Management, funding, leasing) and all that to take away funds from Nigeria. We can discuss here but the facts remain that CBN have enough professionals to bring them to books. Some of them employ politicians and top banking executives to carry out their motives or side track the process. The onus is on them to proof CBN wrong. We are watching |

yok: SEE WHAT HELP THE UPWARD MOVE ON DIAMOND AND TRANSCORP FOR 28 AUGUST 2018/GENERAL COMMENT
The Fund is back!!! Let us enjoy this mini ride, made additional investment in Diamond, Transcorp and others. I believe the fund is now ready to pick up some opportunities.
For people like me, we are still going back to our drawing board to see how we can benefit from this bounce.
Let ignore the stone throwers please. Some people are not investing to make money nor are they interested in learning either TA or FA. Let us ignore the charlatans, abusers etc. and move on to provide value in whatever area we could to this forum, for me I will not be distracted as long as I know that I am providing value to others.
Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling.
Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source.
N:B
Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months. Thanks Yok |

rebekah2011: Good morning bnsitl, I have 100k for investment say for 1 year and I only want to invest in just one stock. The stocks are PZ, UBA, ZENITH and UCAP. Based on the expected dividend returns PZ seems to be the least whilst the preferred based on capital appreciation. Projected DPS / MPS PZ - 50KOBO / 25 UBA - 85KOBO / 12 ZENITH - N2.45 / 30 UCAP - 35KOBO / 4
My heart says go with PZ. What do you guys suggest that I do? Thanks for your help in advance. If you have to do it now. Follow your heart. PZ do give N1 if the going is good. The margin of safety is very good. Although there is profit warning, It could not be so bad if you could wait for a year. |

On Tuesday, the National Bureau of Statistics released the Q2 2018 Capital Importation report, which, as expected, showed a decline in foreign portfolio investor (FPI) inflows into the country.
· Total capital importation fell by 12.5% quarter-on-quarter (q/q) to US$5.5billion as a result of a 9.8% q/q decline in FPI inflows to US$4.1billion and a 24.1% q/q slide in other investments to US$1.1billion. On a positive note, while Foreign Direct Investment remained less than inspiring, it inched up 6.0% q/q to US$261.4billion.
· We opine that the gradual decline in capital importation, particularly FPI may not be unconnected with the bearish sentiment exhibited by foreign investors towards emerging and frontier markets, such as Turkey, Argentina and Nigeria to name a few, in Q2 2018.
· While we expect a slow down to continue, if not worsen in H2 2018 as foreign investors maintain a ‘risk off’ sentiment, we believe the potential for increased political risk in H2 2018, could also form a deterrent to FPI inflows.
· However, on a year-on-year (y/y) basis total importation spiked 207.6% largely due to low base effect of Q2 2017, although this was the quarter in which the Investors’ & Exporters’ foreign exchange window was established.
· Nonetheless, we should see the y/y performance slow if not decline in H2 2018 due to the previously mentioned drivers.
· Consequently, we believe capital importation into Nigeria may be swayed by foreign investor sentiment as well as political risk which may cloud the relatively attractive yields in the fixed income space and valuations in the equities market. |

We probably need a bounce to try (and possibly break) this support again
It's a straight fight between Dangcem and the banks; we await the winner Dangcem must lose stem. The macro envoron does not support rise in price. The way the price head into the support is bring about a pin bar(CP) PIN BAR when the market is bearish is a gonna 95 percent of the time. |
