Valueinvestor: Honestly I wish we had a few people here on the board of some companies, we have quite a number of right thinking people on this forum. You can just imagine people like OGG, Tritritri, oga Loco, Myc56, current price, and so on, all on board of sluggish zenithbank, it would have no business being where it is today Mindless Mr market does not care. |

Loco,
I hail you. I have checked what happened during ugheli 2012 to 2013. Hope we have the same. You are an old man!
Those that will buy high are part of those that would fund the acquisition. There have been a lot of institutional buy. Now is time to sell high. |

Valueinvestor: Nobody is saying transcorp is not a good stock, infact with the present results/great prospects surrounding the stock, it's a beautiful stock to have in one's portfolio (if gotten at a bargain), what we are saying is that judging by its year low(1.05),present dividend declared, a lot of uncertainties surrounding the market during this period, the current price (1.71) is still highly vulnerable (downside),. Obviously FOMO, will come into play at first and possibly push the price up a little, but if we think big investors will not react to the declared dividend that would be untrue, with a ROE of 14%,compared to other stocks like nascon (42%),gtb(34%),caverton (96%),zenithbank (25%) and so on. Picking it at a discount of 20% would not be a bad idea (at least that would be a reasonable margin of safety), Anyway lets watch how things unfold, NEVER SAY NEVER in Stock Market, who knows the price might even reach #5 with the present results ;DNobody is saying transcorp is not a good stock, infact with the present results/great prospects surrounding the stock, it's a beautiful stock to have in one's portfolio (if gotten at a bargain), what we are saying is that judging by its year low(1.05),present dividend declared, a lot of uncertainties surrounding the market during this period, the current price (1.71) is still highly vulnerable (downside),. Fair stocks are doing 10 - 30 % in a week now not to talk of Transcorp. It is better to buy when the market is going up. Bulls have defiled the current environment. Meaning that they see stability. |

locodemy: Your question should be why did I sell the stock when it was on bid.......
It is because I am sure of good result but not sure of good dividend due to huge os.I know the stock very well for some years now. Loco! why messing around with good thing. Not all stocks are for dividend. More so you have been around to know this of transcorp. |

Valueinvestor: I have come to realize overtime that what actually brings in huge returns from stocks is the proper application of high margin of safety, appropriate diversification, timing and patience and not just holding a fundamentally strong stocks. For instance, both nestle and stanbic are fundamentally strong, but buying them at a low margin of safety poses more risk, infact one would be better off putting such money in a fixed deposit. For me any stock that is not likely to give 8-10% dividend yield, I consider paying too high for it for now. Anyway these are my personal opinion and hard lessons learnt from previous experience Your hard lesson is the best lesson. Wise people always learn at the school of hard knocks. Some still practice same thing over and over again and suffer for it. By mere observation and deducing intelligent points many would know better. |

I am sorry for Diamond. With the benefits of hindsight this problem was long foreseen by some of us
When they were selling assets offshore. Instead of expanding, the bank was contracting.
Deceiving US that business is more profitable in Nigeria than abroad. |

DeRuggedProf: This one has gotten a court order restraining CP/OGG from carrying out any form of FA on it....
In another ruling, BBM/FXUSER were handed a restraining order from ever carrying out any form of TA on FMN. The judge agreed with the technical team that FMN is too sick to be dressed in all the technical jargons.
The order has firmly guaranteed FMN to be under the custody of Ichimoku cumulus clouds. All travelling documents were confiscated.
Reacting to the judgement, WAPCO filed a suit challenging its continued detention by the Bears. Counsel to the Bears insisted that WAPCO can not be granted bail as all the funds the shell holders provided can no longer be traced.
We will keep you updated...... DeRuggedProf: Tell them... They think those selling no see AIRSERVICE, FIDELITY,FCMB, GTB, ZENITH, TRANSCORP, etc etc When the market picks up, some equities will climb like wide fire, while FOULMILLS and WASTECO will still remain in ICU. People have become wiser. You dash FOULMILLS about N27 per share, they remove N1.00 and keep for you, then go and freely squander the rest, same with WASTECO.... You no go kill me !!! |
