Have you guys noticed some peeps don't post screenshots anymore? Myself, 4llerbuntu, aieromon to mention a few and it ain't because we don't download anymore but we just don't see the need to post the screenshots. Even puskin don pipe down on the screenshots and I dare say all of una go soon tire. angry

Really, I don't see the need/use for this thread and it's good it was "unstickyed''. Maybe the title of the thread should be changed to "what was the last thing you downloaded?" or "what are you downloading now?'' to give it a new direction and sound out guys on things to download .

Just my 2cents undecided

Mavor: I can tell you first hand cos I am one of those involved in the registration of voters and I am a Computer guru that INEC is full of poo. The laptop and finger print scanner are made in China.

Imagine, the laptop has no processor fan. It uses an inefficient heat sink on the processor to remove heat, so every now and then ( every 2 hrs ), after constant use, the laptop will go off due to over heat, also, the keyboard becomes too warm to touch.

Secondly and most importantly, the fingerprint scanner is the biggest problem with this exercise. The software for it that interfaces with the laptop was badly designed. Any small dirt on a finger tip gives the laptop problem, secondly, the laptop will be attributing the fingerprint of one person to another, hereby giving error during individual voter's bio-data collation. We all know that no 2 human beings in this world have the same fngerpriint. For example, lets say Individual A comes and registers and goes away afterwards, when Individual C comes to do his fingerprint scanning, the scanner software will be claiming that Individual C's left-hand little finger has the same finger print as Individual A's left-hand thumb finger print and that is not realistically possible, as a result, error in data acquistion.

How much National Assembly give Iwu and Jega for the DDC machine, dem go dey import Chinese sub-standard product, pocket the rest money, instead of them to procure solid DDC machine's. This exercise was bleeped, even before dem start.
Oya, all of you should go to bed. My guy Mavor has spoken and I can vouch for his competence on a pc and his computer knowledge wink

CONCLUSION - Fault is INEC's and it's completely wrong for them to blame the Youth Corpers.

Obahiagbon never said this. I made it up and posted it as a FB status, seems its been mirrored everywhere.
You'll be surprised when a major newspaper or online news media carry the comments and claim they emanated from Obahiagbon himself.

I wouldn't put anything beyond Nigerian journalists undecided

INEC is funny sha.

So corpers are to blame for malfunctioning printers, faulty finger print scanners and no power to plug and charge the laptops?

But truly, some corpers are dull and shouldn't have been co-opted into the exercise. The one on my street is probably new to a pc cos she still searches for letters on the keyboard and dey count finger type hence it takes a long time for her to register someone.

Apart from that she dey try

A very important and trending thread on the ongoing Voter's Registration Exercise.

If for no other offence, he should be removed for his interruption into the proceedings of the convention and trying to sabotage the election of GEJ when there was an existing court order restraining him from parading himself as Chairman.

Good move I say

Very good!

The gsm companies have the better & more advanced technology and they ain't resting on their oars either as they keep expanding, releasing new packages and improving on their services.

The only way the CDMA telephone companies can compete is to pull resources together so they can get a larger share of the market.
