One of the terms of the agreement Siasia has with the NFF is that he'd have 3 assistants but he'll be allowed to pick the 1st assistant while the NFF will pick the other two. http://www.kickoff.com/news/18646/samson-siasia-to-earn-n5m-pick-assistant.php So it's not out of place for the NFF to choose Emmanuel Ammuneke to assist him. |
Hmmm. . .this thread is on the homepage and it reads Is ethnicity more important than religion? so I'll leave the politics and answer that question instead. . . YES! I THINK ETHNICITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN RELIGION. Assuming I own a company & there is an opening and two suitably qualified people apply for the job - Applicant A from my hometown/villa but an atheist and Applicant B, a "born-again" christian who is even a member of my church and worships in the same parish as me but is of a different ethnic origin, I'd give the job to the guy from my hometown/villa. |
You nor go let us hear word again becos you don sabi embed? ![]() |
rasputinn:Are you "effing" kidding me? He has a UEFA "A" license, the 2nd highest coaching qualification in Europe and has valuable coaching experience with Julius Berger and Ocean Boys in the domestic league and he's not qualified to ASSIST Siasia in your opinion? Jesu Kristi! ^^Shakes his head in exasperation and leaves the thread. . . . |
Small pikin Gollywood wey never sabi crawl, na im wan dey gbemu for us. TF them! |
The voice of the people is the voice of God! Up Siasia! Up Super Eagles! Up NFF! Up Nigeria! Leaves the thread humming baba ti ba wa se, baba ti ba wa se o |
honeric01: Yes, I didn't watch the live match but i watched the replay, even if they don't have the names you listed, they still have other players, their management and structure is well in place, they are the most organized in the whole of the leagueOk. . .I don hear. Na wetin you dey always talk be this ![]() have you seen/watched their basketball team play before? they have won the Nigerian basketball league 3 times in a role.Shuo! wetin carry b.ball enter footie matter? by the way, Ogaga is still with them sha!Yes! Yes! Thank you jare. . .na im name be that. . .Ogaga Ogaga. Fantastic Player he is. . .but sadly he won't win you the league ![]() |
dominique:You dey mind them?. . .they were so boastful and made so much noise before this match so I guess e dey pain them gan ![]() Anyhow sha, try catch the extended highlights tonite from 9-10pm on the Sports Tonite programme showing on Channels TV if you can. |
RSA:Hehehehe. . . .LWKMD! ![]() See RSA forming "righteous indignation" on Nairaland as if his reputation doesn't precede him. Anyway, I'll stop twisting the knife in your wound cos it seems y'all are still hurting from today's loss. |
honeric01:Lol. . .to be fair, I don't think you watched that particular match cos I remember I came gloating after the match and you said something like you didn't watch the match and that next season dey. You know se nothing for K.Pillars this season sha? No Solomon Okpako, No Ahmed Musa. . .shey that im hausa strike partner (I don forget im name) still dey sha? ![]() |
RSA:You should be happy cos at least your team's goal scoring jinx against the Falcons was broken today (all thanks to the referee). I hope Equitorial Guinea, Ghana or Cameroun dump you guys out in the Semi-Finals. I particularly hope its Cameroun cos they seem to have your numbers having beaten your girls recently in a pre-tournament friendly played in S.A. |
honeric01:Yeap. . .5 goals now and highest goal scorer. Guy, today's match nor easy o. Those South Africans have seriously upped their game and they really meant business today. Today's victory was due to the individual brilliance of Perpetua Nkwocha. It could have ended 2-0 if not for the foolish referee that manufactured a "freekick out of no where" for the South Africans which they dully converted. Anyway, we're already in the Semi-final and should meet one of Ghana, Equitorial Guinea or Cameroun but the Falcons need to be more mobile, put the ball on the ground & string passes together as opposed to the police football they played today and be more clinical in front of goal if they hope to go beyond the Semi-Finals. Coach Uche Eucharia has her work cut out for her. |
Honeric, see your life. . .you argue so tey spambot do you strong thing ![]() |
zenus:SABC and DSTV are stingy with the rights ![]() |
It's funny but South Africa's best two players are whites. . .Kylie-Ann Louw and Janine Van Wyk |
That referee na bagger. The freekick that led to the goal by S.A was unnecessary. Anyway end of 1st half Half time score Nigeria - 2 Nkwocha Nkwocha S.A 1 - Van Wyk |
I expect the Falcons to win 2 nil. Lets go Falcons. . .make Semid proud ![]() |
^^News from the Enemy's camp . . . . . . Banyana ready for Super Falcons Banyana Banyana are ready to do the country proud when they take on Nigeria in the African Women's Championships at Sinaba Stadium tomorrow. The game between South African girls and the Super Falcons is set to kick-off at 11h00. Banyana have never beaten Nigeria in the history of this tournament, but team manager Zanele Khanyile is confident that the Augustine Malakalane-led side will write their own history and achieve a good result against the Super Falcons this time around. Speaking to KickOff.com, Khanyile said the spirit in the South African camp is very high and everyone is ready for the game tomorrow. "The mood is very positive. Everyone is very excited and looking forward to the game tomorrow. We had our training this morning and I can say we are both mentally and physical ready for the big challenge. "I don't want to make lot of promises but I assure all South Africans that we will do our best to make them happy after the match against Nigeria." Khanyile refused to give out any information related to injuries ahead of the match. "I cannot talk about injuries but can confirm that we have the best team available to face Nigeria tomorrow." The Super Falcons beat Mali 5-0 in their first game of the tournament whilst Banyana Banyana escaped with slender 2-1 win against Tanzania in the opening match on Sunday. Khanyile conceded that they will need a potent striking force if they hope to bring down the Nigerians who brought most of Under-20 players that took part in the World Cup held in Trinidad and Tobago. "The coach has been working not only with striking force but the whole team in terms of improving their performance. We have capable strikers that I am confident will do the job for us." http://www.kickoff.com/news/18622/banyana-banyana-ready-for-nigerias-super-falcons.php |
Uche dismisses Banyana 'big' match claims South Africans may have billed their African Women Championship Group A clash with Nigeria as the big match of the tournament, but the suggestion has left Nigeria coach Eucharia Uche amused. "We have always played South Africa and each time we hear the same thing. But they cannot intimidate us," she said. "This is a match like every other match for us and there is no room for complacency. "We came here prepared to win the trophy and we are taking every match as it comes. "I know that we will not drop any point against the South Africans." Nigeria opened their campaign with a 5-0 win against Mali, and Uche insists that the focus is on the trophy. "Two years ago, Equatorial Guinea shocked us. This time, we are here with a resolve top reclaim our trophy." The Super Falcons meet Banyana Banyana at 09h45 Nigerian time. http://www.kickoff.com/news/18602/eucharia-uche-dismisses-banyana-banyana-big-match-claims.php |
Nigeria and South Africa in another African Women Championship battle It's a battle we have in our hands as two perennial rivals square up against each other in what has been termed the clash of the giants in Group A. Nigeria playing for the first time in the Africa cup of nations for women without the tag of defending champions takes on the host and eternal rivals, South Africa in the ongoing 7th CAF Africa women championship, SOUTH AFRICA 2010. Banyana Banyana laboured to a 2-1 victory over the Twiga stars of Tanzania in the opening match of the competition while Nigeria strolled to a comfortable 5-0 win against Mali but the statistics could be deceiving going by the fact that the past encounters between both sides had been closely contested. The Nigerians buoyed by the fact that they have never lost to South Africa in any CAF organized encounters could suffer from overconfidence and they could be in for a shock from the in-form host just like the 0-1 loss to Ghana some years ago on home soil. The Super Falcons underwent a surgical operation after suffering the indignity of losing to Equatorial Guinea in the semi-finals of the 2008 edition in Malabo with the early signs manifesting from the manner they struggled to qualify from the group stage behind South Africa. The unenviable feat saw them surrendering the African crown for the first time. The ones deemed to be tired legs were weeded out and in came a different set of younger players from the U-20 team that stunned the world in Germany and the U-17 side to Trinidad and Tobago both this year. Only four players with previous nations cup experience were included in the team to this competition. The South Africans on the other hand, seem to be enjoying the best period in their women's football history going by their achievements in the last two years. Banyana Banyana played to the final of the AWC two years ago after surprising book makers by coming tops from a group which included Nigeria and Ghana. But for the overwhelming home support and some extraordinary football played by Equatorial Guinea in the final, South Africa got less than they deserved after adding Cameroon to their list of big name casualties with an emphatic victory in the semi-finals. South Africa and Nigeria both have 3 points and a victory for either side could mean a leg already in the semi-final stage of the competition. It's the clash of the elephants and the grass surely will be there to suffer. http://www.cafonline.com/competition/african-women-championship_2010/news/7032-nigeria-and-south-africa-in-another-african-women-championship-battle.html |

Jesu. . .Olorun Oba! Na orisirisi dey for this Nairaland sha This thread reminds me of the kinda arguements I used to engage in back in primary school. Make I even ask sef. . .is it true Optimus prime fought with Voltron and Voltron destroyed him? Some mothers do have 'em ![]() |

Magnus Iwuoha EnyimbaHehehe. . .I watched that Enyimba vs K.Pillars game and I still recall the goal he scored against them. He scored the winning (2nd) goal when scores were still tied at 1-1 by dribbling the pillars goalkeeper in a one-on-one and slotting the ball into an empty net. I recall pillars vociferously protested the goal claiming it was offside and play only resumed after about 5 minutes. The guy reminds me of Muri Ogunbiyi . . .very petite but skillful. Honeric, you suppose know the guy nah ![]() Chinedu Udeh, HeartlandNa the problem of Naija be that. . .everybody wan be footballer, not that I blame him afterall na footie money dey for here. Dude should have taken to basketball or volleyball instead with that kind of 6ft4" height Anyway, height is a good natural attribute/asset of a goalkeeper. The other goalkeeping stuff can be learned & improved upon with training. I hope he gets enough games with heartland cos he'd need them to improve and the worst thing that could happen to a goalkeeper is sitting perpetually on the bench. Joseph Thompson, Kano PillarsNever knew until now that Solomon Okpako is now in Greece. Anyway, is he Nigerian or Camerounian? Bright Ejike, SharksI still recall this dude from that 1st Oceanic Football show. I'm happy he stopped playing "jeun jeun" football and is now playing professionally. Nor be yam to be signed to a play for a club in the pro-league. |
Emeka ‘Yobo’ Eze, Enugu RangersAm I the only one who thinks nicknaming an up & coming footballer "Yobo" is a curse? Anyway, Alphonsus Dike is widely regarded as the Arsene Wenger of the Nigerian league so dude can önly up his game playing under him. Chris Madaki, JUTH FCLeft footed players are rare and one in a dozen so I'm always happy to read/hear about one. Also, it's good JUTH Fc is now in the Pro-league cos this will put him in the radar of bigger clubs and hopefully handlers of our U-21/Olympic team. Hopefully he'd overcome his injury problems & have less discipline issues this season. Also hoping he packs a shot better than that of Valentine Nwabili if not as good as Taiye Taiwo's in that his left foot ![]() Kelvin Kpakor, Kwara UnitedNice! Another left footed player. Hope he's the true son of his father? ![]() His father was a footballer and he's been to "football"school and being coached by Clemens Westerhoff and professionally by Khadiri Ikhana arguably one of the best coaches in the league. He can only improve on the innate soccer ability he inherited from his dad with the coaching he's gotten from Westerhoff and will continue to get from K. Ikhana. |
honeric01:Ok sir! Just se make we nor do ping-pöng enter page 2, make we die the matter for here Adios! |
If una wan compare both artistes. . .compare their mainstream tracks "kilode" and "oleku" |
honeric01: You can do better than that. What happened to comprehension?Jeez! C'mon mahn. . .are you kidding me or what? I say Keshi is an "egunje" collecting coach and instead of denying it outrightly you say something akin to "what of Siasia?/isn't siasia one too?" which is a tacit admission of my accusation and you dare question my comprehension ability? Some people sha. . .SMH |

honeric01:Not off track! Let me explain it like this. . .You're a very opinionated person and so am I. Do you think any amount of preaching by Davidylan can convert Abuzola to a christian and vice-versa? Hell No! At the end of the day na my keyboard & fingers go suffer if I decide to engage you. Frankly, I've also lost my appetite for the long & multiple pages of debates which you crave and seem to thrive on. ![]() |
honeric01: If Keshi gets the job come November 8th, you can donate your 78' LCD TV to me in protest you hia?Unfortunately, I don't have a 78" LCD TV but I promise you I won't step foot into this section again if that happens ![]() so you are trying to say Siasia did not collect "egunje" from those boys (overaged) he took to various tourney? you better let the sleeping dogs lay. Thanks for admitting Keshi is corrupt ![]() |
