Its still all good anyways. If everything went swimmingly since the first day with everyone smiling at each other, then this would not have been a proper project, the people involved wouldn't have been Nigerians and the working environment would have been those only experienced in dreams. We will all smile in the end though. Busybody2, thanks for the concern and "passionate" responses. Inspite on the little bile, I'm sure some have learnt something's from your observations. I wonder why babyosisi kept quiet all this while... Good job TEHN and everyone involved here. |
Not bad at all. Now that we have a strong moral head and force to direct us. We can have the proven technocrats like Fashola and Amaechi to help drive us towards the national goals. |
Curlieweed:If you can't find that intelligent point then you may be dammed... Someone was suggesting sending the refined products via pipelines and I ask, at what cost? Which is more expensive? 1. Using one pipe to transport crude ( which isn't that attractive to bunkerers inland); or 2. Having several pipes, each transporting products ranging from gas to engine oil, needing a more complicated flow system and becoming a meal ticket for amateur and professional fuel thieves? Many Nigerians like yourself know how to talk and argue more than think deeply. For your sake I hope you won't be dammed. |
Curlieweed:Stop mixing things up by being smarter by half. Are you comparing having a refinery at Kaduna and one in Port Harcourt to having 2 refineries in Portharcourt and having to transport the products via tankers? A little of the consequence is what we have in Lagos now where tankers from kano to jigawa come to line up on apapa road waiting for their turn to load, causing bad roads and serious traffic in the process. I don't have the time for long discussion now but will be back later, need to finish up a design here. But I won't be surprised if you've never been in a position to manage human and material resources. |
Curlieweed:That's naive. I also thought same when I was say...13-15 yrs of age. Its actually a very good idea. You prefer the transportation of refined petroleum products via tankers, putting pressure on our roads and infrastructures; or via pipelines that are easily traced and burst these days? At least, a pipeline know to be carrying crude is not as attractive as a pipeline carrying petrol. And I've not even started on the economics as regards job creation- reducing the propensity for ppl to indulge in violence; sundry industries tied to the refinery springing up; the fact that we would be producing the products at lower costs thereby equalising the prices of the petrol and other distillates throughout the country. Sometimes we get too bugged down in sentiments to see things clearly. But its ok, you keep on expanding your mind. Don't stop learning. |
Someone should wake this governor up. Its time for him to pray - that he's not carried away by the wind of change. |
Nice! |
Lol. Dem no dey call am.chartered anymore? Can't remember where I threw mine self. Your journey has just begun, you still have other stages that would task you financially. But for me the education was worth it cos that was what I was mainly looking for. |
Can't trust that there's no government hand in all these fires. ![]() |

Sad... When I read about her taking palm oil afterwards, I felt that was just a temporary solution. Those around should have forced her to vomit and throw up what's inside. This would have reduced amount of poison in her stomach. More palm oil can then be again given to neutralise the rest before taking her to the hospital. |
Those that said Nigeria will disintegrate after 2015, sure know their onions. Note that disintegration might not necessarily be physical. It could be political, mental. Like a confederation... Its how this will pan out that is not foreseen yet. |
lalasticlala:Grooming her for politics. Giwa may later hand over her posts and connections to her. Its the way politics roll in this country. |
Sincere9gerian:Wake up bro. Its morning already. ![]() |
html14java:If your prices are good, let's talk business. |
