We are looking at 1000 bags per month for starters.
But I wasn't too keen on importing cos of all the gridlocks associated with such. If anything happens to a particular cargo at a time when we are low on inventory, it would affect production. That's why I prefer to make use of those already imported or produced in the country.
Do you have or know anyone that sells in the country? @ogba5 |

I need to get the raw materials polyethylene for nylon production. Some nairalanders I called said that I can get a source in Anambra state but none is totally sure.
I'm also told the market for such raw materials is being cornered by foreigners. How true is this?
If anyone has information on the source especially in the Southwest but even the east, pls let's discuss. |

Vikkie14: Do you mean the "Opposition" or "Nigeria"? What "upper hand" do you want the Military to have when the "Government is On-top" and the "Opposition is firing-below"? I dont think you understand what you just typed Sis. We are just playing politics with Nigerians. Did the opposition hold the government at gun point forcing it not to proceed with the onslaught? When the government stopped fighting and told us all that they had reached a cease fire agreement with Boko Haram, was it the opposition that was remote controlling them? Opposition didn't have any power of force nor ammunitions to fight, ( if they did, maybe they'd have done a better job), the responsibility and authority for this was with the governemt and at every turn they keep shirking. From denial of the abduction of chibok girls, the illusion that they'd had the insurgents floored in weeks. They kept over estimating and under estimating. Never efficient, never effective. Is the opposition to blame for these? To most Nigerians, the opposition has played its role nicely. If everyone was pro PDP, bomb will be dropping while the News stations would be showing smiling governemt officials getting fatter and having "family affair" meeting. |

atlwireles: Only Almajiris believe that rubbish, as Minister of petroleum in 1978, N2.8B got wings and flew away. That's about $16B today
His trade by barter transactions, plus his import license regime in 1984, remains one of the most corrupt era in the Nigeria business cycle.
As PTF Chairman in 1999, N25B Houdini itself away, that was about $1B back then.
Keep your incorruptible story to children born last night. Lol. Conjectures are all what you just reeled out at best. None of them is fact. Let's go by that anyways, so you are saying IBB who supervised the ghosting of $12B (about $92B today) amongst other nauseating corruption laden scandals, is a saint? The naira just had to give way under his government. You want that option? Well typical PDP. Stealing isn't corruption right? Funny, just like his protegee,we were experiencing an oil windfall era when IBB swooped in on the proceeds. Compare to GEJ where amongst others $20B simply cat walked out of the federation accounts without approval. GEJ also supervised possibly the best oil boom era in history, yet all our accounts were depleted with debts to boot. He promised to do all his works within one term, not just because it can be done within that term, but because he had no intention of going for another term. But just like his mentor IBB, he backtracked and, military copy book style, made sure everyone was "earnestly asking for him". But what was his score card? The one that concerns me most is power. He said he'd solve it within the first term. He's had more than that and we are worse for it. Tarrif is skyrocketting to heavens while the best source of light is still the gen set. It doesn't stop the huge nepa bills from coming. Its really crazy how anyone can be in this country and want GEJ to spend one more day ruling us. I honestly don't care at this point however or from whomever the change may come , I just want change. From PDP generally. |

I'll take a buhari without certificate instead of an IBB riddled with corruption any day. Besides how are you sure IBB has certs? People know Buhari as being incorruptible but harsh. IBB, GEJ's mentor is more genteel. But cold bloodedly corrupt. I think you are mixing these gentlemen up. |

bigfrancis21: Quit making unnecessary assumptions out of the blues. Be sure of where who is from before 'assigning' them an area of origin. Are you even listening to yourself? Out of your assumptions you've wrongly assigned 3 different people to a wrong geographical region. Just stick to the topic of your thread and stick only to middle belters.
You very much knew Michael was from Ette (I am yet to confirm this) - a boundary town between Enugu and Benue state, a town neither in the middle belt nor in the south east (we will assume this for the sake of simplicity), why did you go ahead to 'assign' him to middle belt??
I am well aware of Igbos in Benue state, however, these Igbos are more likely to identify with their brothers in SE than identify as 'middlebelt'. In case of next time, quit including Igbos in your list. Just focus on the Igalas, Idomas, Tivs, e.t.c. who are the 'proper' middlebelters. This response is neauseating. I guess some people don't know when they cross the line from defending a tribe and being bigoted. |

Our interests are best served in the PDP. Though it may take some time, but certainly a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction will HAPPEN in the nearest future under the PDP. The above is an example of how anyone speaking for the generality of Igbo, is living in fools paradise. They are never coherent with any particular process. While colynzo9 tries to state that Igbo are not interested in the presidency, another Igbo bidding his time for the opportunity. Its only in the family unit that you can guarantee that a representatives word is law. And even that is difficult. |

I am sure that my question on the National conference which you brought up must have given you serious headache. Go home and think about it. Presidency.... How does it benefit Igbos, how has it benefitted Yorubas, Ijaws, Fulanis? No answer you jumped to state creation. How has state creation benefitted the north? No reply. Alliances, how did your alliance with the north help you in the national conference? How many of your specific interests did they support? No reply. In a nutshell: if Igbo like you feelntheres nothing to gain in the presidency of this country, then you should have done a "Jehovah's Witnesses" on the whole process!!! Why label GEJ an Igbo and go ahead to align and continue to align with him. There are other ethnic groups in this country that have been quiet politically and have had gains from doing so. MrEverest: The Igbo appeal lies in the fact that they are one of the most populous in the country. They may have 5 states as you said but Lagos is about 40% made up of Igbos, El Rufai as the minister of FCT made the assertion willy-nilly that Abuja is de facto sixth Igbo state based on their numerical strength. For you to win the presidential election, you must garner at least 25% in two thirds of the states across the federation, the Igbos can easily influence this & they actually did it for GEJ in 2011. Buhari actually played into the hands of GEJ when he refused to campaign in the SE based on this your short-sighted hubris that SE is not relevant. The SE may be five states but Igbos constitute appreciable numbers in many more states than the SE/SS. If Buhari is sensible enough, he ought to know that Igbo votes holds the ace for GEJ & there is a growing apathy in the region against GEJ due to the failed promises of GEJ like the second Niger bridge, Enugu-P.H exp, Onitsha seaport etc & the fact that GEJ has done far more projects in the Northern states than his acclaimed piller of support, the SE. Igbos can only make 40% of Lagos if 30% of the southeast poured into Lagos. Considering that most Igbo coming over are looking to better their lives economically, its safe to say most of them are of voting age. This will reduce the voting population in the east and further weaken GEJ's position. |
Politics › Re: 2015: Why Ndi Igbo Are Angry With Jonathan – Uko by semitunde: 11:22am On Jan 06, 2015 |
Collynzo9: This is absolute nonsense. Every region, state and ethnic group pursue their own interests in Nigeria, there is nothing like ally. No amount of alliance with the North would have made them happily agree to the creation of more states in the east without demanding for something themselves. You are Yoruba, you claim to form alliances and keep friends while Igbos are creating enemies right? Now tell me one Yoruba agenda in that same conference that was pushed forward and supported by the north. Besides the states we have today were created by military decree not through any democratic process so you can never tell. How is an Igbo President going to solve the problems of an average Igbo man? How are the ones who have had the Presidency faring? How will an extra state benefit an Igbo man? How is the north faring with its 19 states? But its igbos with more voice than yours that keep trumpeting about marginalisation. Anyways, I'd noted it long ago that igbos are not coherent politically and are not informed enough to see the link between political power and economy. They are too emotional and therefore end up not being forthright when required. They are bipolar about what Nigeria represents as against Biafra and this make the individuals react differently to political situations. In the end the only cohesive Igbo group is the family unit. |
