Oahray: Well, they are right. Most Nigerians don't value human life unless it's theirs, a close friend's or a relative's. We just make noise about it and make memes and akpors jokes, then forget. There was ALUU4, the boko haram bombings, the Chibok girls... then the numerous accidental discharge by the police who should be protecting people.Hear hear!! |
Seriously, we shouldnt expect anything different from this reaction. We are the ones with docile rulers and impaired citizens. The only things we are active about is money and music. |
Nice pictures. I hope that one day, my igbo people will learn the art of sophistry gleaned from moderation and constraint. Its OK to be enthusiastic and happy about new developments but it leaves a sour taste when it doesn't go beyond being vainglorious. I have noticed the way the spider888 guy has answered questions for instance without inciting malice. I think more Igbo should learn and adopt that style. You all agree you need more people like him. Its becoming an accepted norm that Igbo are emotionally violent, many on this forum add vent to this. Its usually passed of as being competitive, but you only realise the folly of such thoughts when the violence is wrought amongst yourselves. Its going to be great for everyone if the east can develop rapidly. This will force a change in some areas that will require better discussion elsewhere though. Daalu!! |
Chiwude: This is my response, Seun take note. You are not making sense brother. Its disappointing. |

sagod: And how many EVD positive patients in the Isolation centre has your Fashola gone to shake hands with? You and your types are the ones exhibiting ethnic and religious bias, refusing to be sincere, honest and fair in your assessment of certain Government officials just becuase they are not of your ethnic origin and /or your religious fold. Otherwise you would have acknowledged the frantic and uncommon efforts the Honourable Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu made and is still making in curtailing the spread of the EVD. Or is he an appointee of Fashola? Fashola and his government should first make good the state economy before you begin to campaign for his Federa appointment. Mind you, Lagos State is only one out of the 36 Federating States in Nigeria and Nigeria is far bigger than Lagos State. But you are the one getting overtly emotional here. Pray tell, why would anyone want to go shake hands with people in quarantine? What logic is there and what will the person prove by such action. What fair assessment of govt official are you talking about? And what ethnic and religious bias was shown here? The survivors were not labelled by their ethnic groups or religious affiliations. When the Sawyer incident happened, it was the Lagos state govt that was the most proactive apart from the primary hospital. We were constantly and continuously informed about steps taken immediately after the state govt took over. The Federal govt only came in later after steps and processses had been shown to be in place. I do not support any party . |
otswag: God bless this man. He is a leader by example. At a time that stigmatization of these Ebola survivors by many who believe they might still be contagious, he invites them to his office and takes close contact photos to show the people they are not. Weldone gov BRF.If you know what stigmatization of Ebola is causing presently, you'll appreciate the symbolic importance of fashola's gesture. A woman called to a live phone-in program to complain that her child in nursery two had nose bleeding, probably after a fight with another child. Nobody was prepared to touch the bleeding child, including teachers. The child was still not allowed back even after treatment and the parents showing test results that the child doesn't have Ebola. |
arresa: You are asking for too much. Don't be surprised to find your Fashola thread in the travel or romance section..Romance section ke? |
Evathyst: while I may not know d reason behind ur assertion, but I want to categorically tell u dt Mrs Kate Henshaw is very popular in her constituency which is Calabar/Odukpani. In d little way she can, she has been touching lives. It's only dt unlike some of dem, she doesn't manipulate d media to assume a 'larger than life' posture.Wanted to become president of Haiti. |
Pamcrest: Pls what is strange in an aircraft engaging in its landing maneuvers, and following the designated flight path over an area in close proximity to d airport. Suddenly this aircraft is accused of felling a building. I watched d clip released by TBJ....several aircrafts of varying sizes were shown passing along d same route and heading towards one direction.....d airport for landing. The clip also showed residents walking along d road and going about their business unperturbed because they are used to having aircrafts flying over their area daily.Well, technically you can have implosions using small explotions or "bombs, professional demolition experts do this all the time. Not holding forth for the preacher though. |
Seun: barcanista was originally banned for not coperating with the admin which is a violation of rule 20, which says:My goodness!! Wow!!! Err , if these are the reasons for banning him then it sure needs review. Rules can also be misapplied and/ or applied with bias. I'm sure you know this by now. I saw some of those posts and apart from the emotions leading to insults and counter insults (something that's now common in politics section these days); they didn't really cross the lines. |
NgeneUkwenu: Thanks Luv! Let me give it a trial! That's a terrible route to festac!! Take the express, branch in at the NNPC filling station near mile 2 and drive down to apple junction and festac. |
ceemere: imagine this dirty yoruba ignorant fool. I have always known that things can get better bewteen igbos and hausa than with yoruba people, cos they ar so full of themselves and wicked. By the way, yorubas ar the cowards who don't have a stand on anything, they only run to where they feel is the wining side just like the Bat. And for the record, Biafra lost the war because this same back-stabbing yorubas who screwed us over. Just bear it in mind that if nigeria is to divide today, yoruba has no place to call their own, they'll have to leave the country cos neither igbos or hausas will wanna share with descendants of JudasYou're wrong you know. You should have seen how dreadful your hair used to be, before you switched to kessingsheen new improved hair care formular... |
