Nothing is certain with canada 🇨🇦 these days..Trudeau government are reducing permanent residents arrivals people coming from abroad with PR in express entry since may 10th 2024 according to what they discussed in the last province and territories meeting with canada immigration minister, recently Trudeau wants to reduce the immigration level plan made his own statement in August 2024, even the French language proficiency draws may be stopped at any moment once they reach target or decides to reduce temporary residents arrivals from that category..
The only draws that is certain for now in express entry is CEC because majority of the candidate in the pool are already in Canada and not arrivals which they draw twice every month. They only prioritized
French to preserve French language culture and history in canada..
CEC cut off started dropping recently based on the last three draws because there is no other category to draw in that pool except CEC and French language draws including provisional nominees program which has its quota already and CEC candidates in that pool is not that increasing and scores started dropping and government wants to meet its 2024 immigration targets, unless the immigration level plan changes in 2025 CEC cut off points 👉 @ 507 last draw started with cut off point @ 522 will drop below 500 in 2025 because of cap on study permit,SOWP and other work permits for temporary residents.

True, but I don’t see French draws slowing down anytime soon. Unless you live in Quebec, it is becoming uncommon to find Canadians that can speak French. So they need to even the French - English population and this might take several years even with the numerous French draws

I still think the fastest and cheapest way to PR is by learning French. I know of someone who took the TEF test within just 4 months of learning French and got CLB 7, the test is so easy if you have that basic knowledge. A serious person with no prior knowledge of French who starts learning it today can be fluent enough to take the TEF test in 6 months or less. Compare that with spending around 40 million and two years for a Canadian degree that does not even guarantee PR unless you are lucky enough to find a professional job which is increasingly becoming unlikely because of the job shortages in the country.

And even if French specific draw stops, you still get 50 point for EE and you also would probably qualify for nomination in Quebec and other provinces.

For those coming to study for the purpose of getting a PR, I will advice you first go to the Express Express CRS tool and calculate what your future score would be with after earning a Canadian degree. If your score would up to 520 to 530, then I would advice you forget about it and not waste your time and money going through the study permit process.

At the moment, the average cutoff score is an around 510 to 520. Now this score keeps increasing yearly so don’t expect it to come down. If you begin your study this year in Canada, you will spend about two years studying then you graduate. After you are done studying, the minimum cutoff could have climbed to 530 which still puts you behind and unable to get a PR.

So my advice to everyone is that study permit is not a road to PR. Do your calculations well, see what your score would be after studying. If you feel it would be enough, then go for it. If not you only end up wasting your time and money.

Instead of coming to Canada to waste millions for a degree that does not guarantee PR, why not enroll in a French program in Nigeria and learn the French language? The cutoff for people fluent in French is just around 380. You can learn French in few months and pass the TEF test. Then apply for PR from Nigeria, that in my opinion is the best route for anyone who really wants to migrate to Canada.
Learning French would not only help for PR, it would also help in getting a job. There are lots of jobs in Canada for people who are bilingual. Jobs that even the Canadian degree would not get you.

Why are people moving to Canada rather than Germany?
I want to fully understand.
Nobody in Canada has ever come up to advice another to come over. Is it truly bad over there?
Can someone exhaust his 3 years PGWP without PR even when he started applying for PR immediately after school?
Your advice will help with certain decisions.

Study permit or PGWP is not a path to PR. With the current express entry cutoff, a Canadian degree plus Canadian work experience is not even enough. So do not put all your hopes of PR on the study route.

The only way to get PR nowadays is through provincial nomination. Express entry scores are now so unreasonably high.

A word of advice for everyone pursuing a study visa in Canada. Avoid private universities or public universities with private partnerships as much as you can, they are only after your money. After graduating from such schools, you will not be able to get a job with that degree or diploma as it’s basically worthless.

This is because private schools have really bad reputation now, many admit several thousands international students yearly just because of the money since they charge international students about x10 what they charge Canadian Students. Many employers have realized this as well, and more often than not eliminate applicants from these universities during the hiring process. Some notable schools that employers avoid are University Canada West, Cape Breton, Fanshawe, …

I would advice to do a thorough research on schools you apply to so you don’t spend all that money, then unable to get a job after graduation and have to return home.

Conestoga is one of the schools in this category. Conestoga even with the high fees admitted over 14k international students this past year, many of whom end up not being able to get a job because employers blacklist their resumes. There are several others in similar situation as well.

Yes, what you heard is true... Fully vaccinated travellers don't need PCR test to enter Canada. But you must still fill the arrive can before you travel.

Concerning boarding from Nigeria, it is not required as well... In fact, Nigeria government as well recently mentioned that fully vaccinated travelers don't need the test to enter Nigeria, so that means no airline should ask for it before boarding, only if you proof you're fully vaccinated.

Thank you

Please I heard starting from April, pcr test is no longer a requirement for fully vaccinated travelers...

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, does that mean that pcr won’t be required to board flight in Nigeria and we won’t also be asked of it when we land in Canada?

Please this is the link I got the information from

Which bank made the payment for you pls? I need a bank that can pay in 1 week

The way things are, I don’t think any bank can pay under one week.

All banks are complaining that CBN is no longer allocating much funds. But I think smaller banks are still able to process Form A within two weeks.

I did mine with Keystone and it took three weeks.

I just saw this from the link below that starting April 1st, pre entry test is no longer required for fully vaccinated travelers.

https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada#pre-entry-testing

Does this mean we won’t have to do any PCR test before our flight, or we’ll still need the test to board our flights here in Nigeria?

Has anyone here evaluated Cambridge A level certificate with wes?

Upon completion of the program, we were issued just a certificate with our scores on it.

If my school sends the attested certificate, will that be enough for wes to evaluate?

You can’t use A levels to claim points for 2 degrees. However you have to evaluate it with your degree, I have Cambridge A levels also.

To evaluate the Cambridge A level, is it just the certificate you sent to wes?

Did the A level reflect in the ECA after evaluation?

Hello house.

I have an advanced level certificate which I did after secondary school and used for direct entry into the university and I have my Bachelor’s degree.

Will I get points for “Two degrees” if I evaluate both?

I’ve ran my eligibility check for FSW, and using “two degrees” is the only way I meet the 67 minimum points since I have just one year work experience.

Hello house,

My form A has been stuck at ADB disbursement review with Keystone going to three weeks.

I need suggestions for any bank that can process form A within a week so I can move my funds there. Who here has used form A very recently, like last week or two weeks ago.

Hello house,

I did a one year Cambridge Advanced level certificate program offered by a university for direct entry after my secondary school and then proceeded for a 5 years Bachelor’s program.

Will Wes evaluate both and will I be eligible for two or more degree category while filling out my express entry profile?

Thanks in advance
