ABAKALIKI – TWO persons were reportedly shot dead in the early hours of Saturday by unknown gunmen in the state.

The victims include a middle aged man, Mr. Mike Ojor in Ikwo Nnoyo in Ikwo local government area and the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ishielu LGA of the state, Mr. Emeka Nworie.
The mastermind of the dastardly act are said to be thugs allegedly loyal to an opposition political party in the state.

A source close to Vanguard revealed that the late PDP chairman was attacked in his house in Ezzagu in Ishielu LGA and shot several times by his assailants.

Confirming the incident, the state Police spokesman, ASP Chris Anyanwu stated the assailants before killing the PDP stalwart asked for money which was generously given to them but still went ahead to kill their victim.

The Whistle has exclusively obtained information from an Independent Situation Room tagged “United Mandate 15″, an affiliate of the Jimi Agbaje campaign organization on the use of sophisticated drones to monitor elections in Lagos today.

We have obtained rare drone footages from the situation room showing the INEC office distribution of electoral materials and other major areas in Lagos from the TEST flight conducted by the technical consultants yesterday. WATCH

The operation will cover strategic areas of Interest given as Surulere, Alimosho, Ifako Ijaye, Agege and Ibeju Lekki and others which will be under the radar.

The Whistle also received eye witness accounts of drones hovering around Bode Thomas street, Surulere and other parts of the National Stadium and the INEC Office at the time when electoral materials were being dispatched.

The United Mandate 15 also said that a similar process is ongoing in Abia State as they are set to make votes count for the Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the Lagos PDP and Mr. Alex Otti of APGA Abia.

Mind you, I do not support all this nonsense decamping. Something must be done to regulate it.

For instance, the National Assembly can pass a law to say that:

1. No defection from one party to another one within one year to an election

2. No defection to/from any party within one year after election

3. No politician may defect at all if he/she has not spent at least three years in his/her current party.

I support you. But if all these are pass into law, it will only give room to infidelity in our party system (I will be in X and I will be working for Y openly, since i don't decamp, so it will still be the same)

I just want to appreciate God and to encourage all nairalanders believing God for a Job to hold unto God and keep on keeping on.
I just got an email today that I have been offered a Job in a Company of my desire after 3 interviews(last month) with the Company.
Note,this is the first and only Company that I have done interview with since I rounded up my Youth Service.I have never written dragnet exam,Workforce exam etc and will never write it(though I do get invite from them).
For those still searching for a Job,my advice is that you should Google names of Companies in line with your profession and send your application letter and Cover letter to them,even if the vacancy is not advertised(that is what I did),you never can tell the Miracle that will come out of it.......Lots of Love.....Ciao

However employers are getting more up to date on interview practices and choose to frustrate poor interviewees via asking open ended questions. These questions test how fast you think on-the-fly and have no right or wrong answers; they only test personal creativity when faced with unfamiliar challenges.

1. How would you interpret the statement "I'm just a plastic bag floating in the wind" (Reference: American Beauty 1999 film).

2. What animal do you imagine yourself as?

3. Sell this pen (Reference: Wolf of Wall Street 2013 film).


Funny enough these are legitimate interview questions and carry the potential of overwhelming job seekers.

Barely a week after conceding to defeat to the opposition party in the March 28 presidential elections, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adamu Mu’azu has redesigned and schemed out the 24 states it will secure victory in Saturday’s, April 11, 2015 governorship elections.

Mu’azu, in a statement on Saturday urged the party’s governorship candidates to make sure the party wins in at least 24 states.

The PDP Chairman listed the states to be cleared by the PDP to comprise, Lagos, Imo and Rivers States, in addition to the 21 states currently controlled by the PDP namely: Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Benue, Plateau, Niger, Kogi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna, Ekiti and Ondo.

Mu’azu, who described PDP’s candidates as “first class materials”, pointed out that the victory of PDP candidates at the elections would return the party to its winning ways.

“I urge the PDP faithful to pick up the pieces and ensure that we return quickly to our old winning ways. There should be no room for voter apathy that was a major factor to our losing the presidential election. While our opponents were savouring their famous victory, we should out flank them and corner at least two thirds of the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is not an impossible target if we return to our elements with immediate effect. We have done it before and we can do it again. Nothing will be sweeter than PDP taking Lagos, our own Rivers State and Imo. Our candidates in these states are first class material who have fully penetrated the political structures of those states and are set to win,” he said.

“The reason is simple. Our party is used to bouncing back whenever we experience a setback. The key to winning the remaining election is heavy turnout and voting the PDP all the way. There should be no tactical voting. Be consistent in your support for the party. What we experienced in the presidential election is merely a hiccup which we must cast out in the gubernatorial polls. All PDP supporters must remember their pedigree, our track record and history of the party and the source of our electoral feats of the last sixteen years. We are the reason that democracy has taken root in Nigeria since 1999. This is something every member of our great party should be very proud of. We have only lost a battle but the war to bring our country to the highest level of democratic governance is still to be won or lost,” Mu’azu said.

Rather than concentrate on their re-election bid, they are busy chasing shadow. This current house of Assembly in Ekiti cannot impeach Fayose and from the look of things, I doubt if APC will have the majority in the next house.

If that is the last thing GEJ will use his federal power to do before he leaves office, i am sure he will not hesitate to save Fayose of this impeachment by military or civilian power, and the impeachment will not be possible even when power shifts to APC at the federal level if APC fails to have majority in the state house of assembly. Another reason April 11 election may not be perfectly free and fair in the state, because the fate of Fayose after 29th May depends on it.
