Greenleaf247: I m new in the business but however if I have someone that can offer the service, I m ready to bear half of the delivery fee I will advice you. DO NOT offer pay on delivery outside Lagos. It is not business. As long as you are certain you will deliver the exact item customer ordered and paid for without any attempt to cheat the customer...offer pay before delivery service, and always scan social media for fraudsters and imposters trying to defraud your customers with your products. |

Health › Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by SendAbroad: 9:28am On Jul 20, 2019 |
Compliance: Hello nairalander doctors and medical practitioners. A brothers needs an urgent help.
For about two years, I have been having a strange sensation in my left chest, may be my heart. It has always been a random occurrence and is not predictable at all, it is like a hard heart beat that comes suddenly and goes off too, it happens several times in a day. Doctors have called it palpitations but I'm finding it difficult to agree. It is not painful at all but somehow unpleasant and its burdensome, feeling as if my heart wants to burst.
I can't trace this symptom to anything, but I discovered recently that it subsides with enough sleep. I was once diagnosed of anxiety neurosis and anxiety disorders when I discovered that my heart beat was way too fast per minute, well over 100 beats per minute. Since then I have been on a tablet called atenolol, I take about 25mg daily for close to three years now.
Then, I had an episode of what I can best call a panic attack, I ran to the hospital and was attended to, my heart beat was around 120/min that day and my Bp was 160/100 that same day. The doctor said I was hypertensive, but other doctors that attended to me after that day disregarded the diagnosis and told me to discontinue the hypertensive drugs prescribed to me.
It was latter that another doctor, a cardiologist, told me that I am suffering from anxiety disorders and recommended that I take the atenolol tablet of 25mg daily to calm my heart, I have been taking that regularly and my Bp has been around 130/90 to 140/90. I am a young man of 32 and have a very moderate weight, I am not fat, and not extremely slim.
I got to know recently that I have ulcer at two different points, I had always maintained to doctors that I don't have ulcer whenever they asked to guide their drug prescriptions. I assumed I didn't have until scan revealed it, I never recognised ulcer symptoms and thought I didn't have it.
Please nairalanders, I need answers... What could be the cause of the thumping beat feeling in my chest? Could it be due to High Blood Pressure, or ulcer or anxiety or a side effect of the atenolol tablet? How safe is the atenolol tablet? I've been on it for close to 3 years.
I know I should see a doctor, I have seen several already, not less than ten and their answers have somehow been the same. But I'm not enjoying my health... Or are there things I still need to know? What was the result of your cardiogram? |

Miracle112: Please what business can I start with 117k as a student to sponsor my self in school? I need advice and guidance, don't want to invest it in wrongly please.. My sponser which is my dad died, so my mum managed to raise the money for me to start a business and sponsor my self in school. I study in the university of PortHarcourt and this money is just my school fee for two sessions. Thing is I don't want to keep this money cause I might end up miss using it, want to invest it in something profitable. And alsoi don't want a business that will take much of my time, so I'll be able to focus on my studies. Business gurus in house please help a brother.
I don't know if I am posting this in the right section but, since it has to do with education, I think here Is OK. Pardon my write up Please your ideas are welcome Your best bet as a student is to give students what they want in school...fry and sell fried yam, puff puff, Akara and plantain. You obviously can't do this alone as you still have to attend lectures. |

Family › Re: My Wife Abandoned Her Matrimonial Home by SendAbroad: 11:00pm On Jul 18, 2019 |
Tunagee: My wife started behaving strangely immediately I lost my job in April 2017. She leaves home to her mum at the slightest disagreement without even communicating or making to express her feelings; and to worsen it, her mum gives her a great welcome with a room and parlour for her to stay, without even calling me to discuss what the problem. Whatever her daughter says is always the final, and she concludes on that.
My wife literarily destroyed my image before my in-laws to such an extent that I can't even visit them again. She tells them i insult her and her parents, and i make negative remarks about them, that i abuse her verbally at the slightest provocation. Several lies against me that I did not allow her travel out, I don't give her money, I told her not to have another kid, that I told her not to work, her mother has decided to keep her with her as I speak without even calling me to discuss, even despite all my appeals. She has been with her mum now for almost ten months(my wife is a fully grown legally married faithful woman of almost 40 years)
All these disrespect, probably cos I lost my job two years ago of which I fulfilled all responsibilities to the home. i don't drink, i don't smoke, don't womanise(even till now) I have never beaten her, I never another child out of my matrimonial home, and never impregnated another woman.
Rather than resolve her marital problem by discussing with her husband, she takes it to her family claiming emotional abuse. Fine, I agree I get provoked cos of her persistent shortcomings, and of course, frustration which leads to unguided vocal utterances towards her, but this could have been resolved easily without having to involve her whole family. Now what she keeps telling my family is that her family said she should still hold on at her mum's place. This is the 10th month since October 2018.
The last time my mum went to her mum's house precisely June last month, she was asked if she was still interested in her marriage, and she said yes, that she does not intend leaving her marriage; but we should give her time. Her mother practically told me to go and do something meaningful, and that there is time to marry, separate, reunite and hustle. Her mum is the one controlling her movements and everything about her for now; not even giving her room to give me audience.
Pls advise on what to do.
We are legally married. Try all you can to get a Job first. |

MummyJumeaux: Good evening house. Please which hospital does laporoscopy in Lagos at a good rate?? A clinic in Benin is saying #470k in total. 300k for the procedure plus 150k for Anesthesia, 20k for drugs. The downside of Laparoscopy is that they may not see everything. There might be other smaller Fibroids not detected....open surgery where every Fibroid is cleared out is the best. From experience, a good hospital I can recommend is Lagoon hospital Ikeja... however expect to spend about 700k. |

Health › Re: How Do I Handle Tonsillitis In My 2yr Old Pls Help! by SendAbroad: 1:51pm On Jul 16, 2019 |
kay0195: Hello all pls I need help from someone that d child or children has passed through this tonsillitis of a thing, I was on admission with my two year old almost two months back due to highly inflamed tonsils. The temperature was something else even some brand of ibuprofen (u have to get a right brand) could not beat down d temperature. Antibiotics couldn't until they had to give via d veins then after about 5 days he was better and we were discharged to continue with oral antibiotics(one kind brand of cefuroxime) which they gave to us in d hospital. we gave him but the thing is after some days d body started getting hot again we had to go get orelox which was quite expensive but he got better. It's almost two months now but he has started running temperature again and d tonsils are inflamed again. I'm stressed this period as I have issues with bp. Pls is there any home therapy or any way to prevent d tonsillitis stuff? I know about having d tonsils removed but we are just looking at that as d LAST option though. He doesn't go to creche and he hasn't started school. He's mostly at home. We just treated his elder sister of severe tonsillitis though could it be she reinfected him? But with all the plenty antibiotics he has been taking I didn't expect he would catch it so easily. He's been on antibiotics now for 5days and just finished antimalaria but is even getting worse. Pls any ideas? Best bet is surgery at a children's hospital...if I'm right. But first thing first...take the child to a children's hospital so that doctors can examine and prescribe the right cure. |

Timih: . Thank you for this.. He sleeps in my room alongside with my wife, so I'm very sure about him sleeping.. He's even afraid of darkness so there's no way he can crawl out to watch TV even though I keep the remote in a place his hands can't reach.. There's time for him to watch TV.. I don't deny him that.. I just don't watch the TV with him except football.. We watch that together all the time I'm around.. He's still angry about Nigeria's loss to Madagascar sha.. So I just tune in to a cartoon station and off I go with the remote... No way for him to watch any other thing unless they show another thing on the cartoon station Use DSTV parental guidance to set up passcode known only to you and your wife...that way you don't have to be carrying remote control "upandan". |

asuustrike1: These are some of the disadvantages of boarding schools 1.The child spends much of his or her time without the contact of anyone who really loves him or her. The school is paid to look after your child, not love them. 2.Bullying: Many children often experience bullying while staying at a boarding school, while older students or teachers can harass and abuse younger students in different ways because children suffering from such harassment This can also affect the psychological stability of the child. 3. Cultism: Depending on the boarding school What about the advantages? |
Health › Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by SendAbroad: 7:16am On Jul 15, 2019 |
Gloriousheart: IUI is perfect for you if you can gather the money cos they will wash the sperms which will increase the motility and bring out only the best of the best to be used for insemination. For the low progesterone, you need cyclogest that has a higher dose of progesterone 400mg not duphaston 10mg. Duphaston is for women with no progesterone issues but who want to play safe. My own opinion. If you don't want to go for IUI, work on the tubes with the ways mama's used to advise here. Depends on where the fibroids are, work on them too. Baby dance well and put everything in God's hands. He will come through for you. I must warn that IUI percentages are always low and once the fertity clinic try once, not successful, that's almost 400k gone. However, would suggest her husband tries to improve on his SA challenges to improve the chances |

05DE: Good day mummies and mummies to be in the house. I want to appreciate you all for your tremendous contribution to this platform. I am a new comer here and in just a few months I have learnt a lot. I don’t really know the codes to use or abbreviations but I’ll make my question as short as possible. My husband and I have been ttc for about 3 years now. We have gone to the hospital to run tests. I have done HSG and he has done sperm analysis which the fertility doctor and gynecologist say it’s very okay(yes we see two specialists just to be sure). My HSG also came out okay, I did prolactin and other scans which showed that everything is normal. The doctors seem to be relaxed telling us it’s just time and everything will be fine but I am so worried to my stomach that I can’t even concentrate anymore. I used to see ovulation signs before but I didn’t even know it was ovulation sign until I got married and was ttc. I usually see ewcm even during our early days of marriage but suddenly I stopped seeing it. My period is somewhat regular( that’s what the doctors say) sometimes my cycle is the regular 30 days and when I am stressed it can be up to 35 or even I had a 45day cycle twice last year. Since May this year, my doctor prescribed clomid and I have been on it. My period came again yesterday and it’s the most devastating thing ever. I never knew there would be a time in my life that I would cry because I’m seeing my period. My period has always been very painful. People said oh when I get married it will go but it has not gone anywhere as I still feel serious cramps when I am on my period that I have to lay in bed all day for like 2 days until it subsides and I take pain killers too. Please I really need your advice as I am about to take my third round of clomid. This clomid has made my period reduce compared to the type of flow I get before.I still get a 5 days flow but it’s now scanty since I started using clomid please is this normal for anyone? What can I do about my period pain too because I feel it’s the reason for me not conceiving even though the doctors say it’s not. Please I need your advice. God bless!!! Have you done Fibroid scans to check if you have Fibroids as this may contribute to the painful periods |
