Nairaland GeneralRe: How Has The Ban On Okadas In Lagos Affected You? by sentix(m): 6:20am On Oct 24, 2012
Some people are just writing stuff and most of them have not even tried to read the new traffic law. They base their comments on what they read and hear.
Please try and read the new law and see how it affects everyone.

Was trying to go the GRA over the weekend I had to trek from PWD Bus Stop to my location because there were no bikes and tricycle dont go there either.
There are no commercial buses allowed in GRA Ikeja. So How do you cope?

Why cant fashola finish the Blue and Red Railway line and see how people will automatically start taking the trains instead of Okadas. Most poeple take okada to avoid traffic Rail lines dont have any traffic. Maryland to Ido will be like 30 minutes!

Also those who are praising Fashola better go and buy Iron Doors to lock your houses and make sure ur at home before 8pm!

It seems some people in this forum are myopic, have I said anything about the driver not committing any offence!
I dont even know what they have accused him of but when you start talking to people as if they are animals,
I have a problem with! And telling us that when we are tired we will come down!

When it wanted to get out of hand they told the police to take the bus to the police station and not their office!
After they know that somebody has snapped their picture driving the bus!
Car TalkRe: LASTMA Fighting Passengers And Driver At Obanikoro Bus-stop by sentix(op): 4:23pm On Sep 29, 2012
The bus stopped at the bus stop at obanikoro and they told the driver to get down and give them the keys! We inquired what happened and were told when we get tired we will get down from the bus. Only for the lastma officer to start the bus and moved while people were coming down creating a scene. One man then snapped a picture of the lastma officer while driving. This got them really angry and threatened to deal with the man. This led to a serious argument between the passengers and lastma officers. Their leader one Olawaye G. just crossed the road and went back to their vehicle refusing to do anything about it.

I took the picture before the argument started. When one man told them u have been told never to drive any arrested vehicle.

This happened yesterday and I sent a message to the provost of LASTMA but has refused to do anything about it

A gang of lastma officers are currently fighting passengers at obanikoro bus stop in front of zenith bank collecting the key from the driver and driving the bus dangerously almost causing an accident.

They were lead by one olawaye g who wears a coat of arm as rank insignia.

Their vehicle with reg no ep 285 app is marked mile 12 to cms monitoring task force. Lastma officers should take note of this lawlessness. A guy who warned the lastma not to drive the bus was promptly arrested and driven away.

Pls forward

ComputersWindows 8 RTM Leaks To Web by sentix(op): 8:47am On Aug 05, 2012
A final copy of Windows 8 leaked to the Internet on Thursday, just a day after Microsoft stamped the new operating system as finished.

Identified as Windows 8 Enterprise N -- the "N" marks it as aimed at European users -- on several BitTorrent file-sharing websites, it was unclear yesterday whether the leaked build was legitimate.

Although some who downloaded the leaked copy asserted it was an invalid build, the consensus early Friday was that it was the real deal.

"Legitimate. It works. Looks real," said one commenter on a popular file-sharing site. Numerous downloaders posted screenshots to back up their contention that the leak was the actual Windows 8.

Of course it has improved.

We are deep into the rainy season, the rivers are full so the hydro dams and working at their maximum capacity.

So we are currently generating more to be shared.

Wait till the dry season comes.

Even with consistent and focused funding and working, we cannot solve our power problems in less than 5 years.

My 2 cents.

HealthRe: Lagos Sacks Striking Doctors by sentix(m): 10:18pm On May 07, 2012
If you have ever been to the General Hospital Ikeja.
You will understand that it is the busiest Hospital in Nigeria
The first choice of Hospital is always General Hospital Ikeja and other newly renovated hospitals owned by Lagos.
If you see the crowd that is always there you will appreciate the jobs that the Doctors and Nurses are doing.

Those saying that they will employ new Doctors, I laugh in Greek!
How do you get Consultants who have so many years Experience!
Lagoon Hospital Doctors, that see a handful of patients everyday!

I pity Lagos State Government because the will definitely have to reverse this insensitive act!

Thanks.
PoliticsRe: Has Power Been Worse Than Normal Lately? by sentix(m): 6:06pm On Mar 30, 2012
Now we 3hrs power every 4 to 5 days. And they've just increased our bill, so bad they could not even come around for their disconnection madness.

And another increment coming in June.
FamilyRe: How Was Your First Year Of Marriage? by sentix(m): 11:57am On Mar 23, 2012
My first year of marriage was lovely, my eating habit changed a bit. From white garri to yellow, from mostly yoruba soups to ibo ones, rice washing, etc.

Having sex continously, the happinness when she missed her period. The sadness when she miscarried. It was a whirlwind thing. Not having your own space anymore.

No more constant clubbing and hanging out. Except fridays once a month. Reduced alchohol consumption.

Now five years in with a child it a little different abit relaxed. Added weight and more responsible. You tend to think of them more than yourself.
ComputersRe: Window 8 Consumer's Preview by sentix(m): 5:42pm On Mar 16, 2012
I have been using the new windows consumer preview for about 2 weeks.

I have been impressed the metro is cleaner, metro apps now look mature and you can switch between them easily.

Windows 8 looks matured and ready for market. Search is responsive and fast. Driver support excellent. I don't really like the new logo but the customization available is great.
ComputersGlobacom's Fraudulent Hsi Internet Serivice by sentix(op): 1:02pm On Feb 25, 2012
I subscribed for G100 on the 25th of January 2012. And immediately I find it impossible to stay connected as it disconnects immediately after 5 seconds.

I called the hsi service center on 444 and was told there was a problem with my number series and they were working to resolve it. It took them 6 days before I could start using the plan.

I was told that I will be compensated by extending it beyond the 30 days expiry if I still had unused download data.

Two weeks later the same thing happened all over again, this time taking over 5 days to fix. I contacted them and I was told that I can easily extend beyond the 30 days by calling the hsi service centre.

I was suprised when I called hsi to extend and I was told bluntly that my plan had expired and there was nothing they could do about it.

In other word their customer care officers lied to me just to get me of the line.

I want you to use your good offices to rectify this fraudulent practices currently going on with Glo HSI internet serive.

Thanks
