Politics / Re: Black Hole: Nobody Knows How Much Oil Nigeria Sells by server34(m): 11:10am On May 02, 2009
Jakumo:

The parallel governments that operate in the Niger Delta are well equipped, owning fleets of aircraft and fuel-smuggling barges.  They consist of a motley crew of the usual suspects -  retired, serving or discharged military personnel, local oil-theft gangs who co-mingle with separatist rebel irregulars in the creeks, and the footsoldiers of high ranking political figures both current and past, all of who tap pressurized petroleum pipelines to remove and export a quarter of the daily content flowing through those pipes, via flotillas of mini-tanker ships holding position just off the horizon in international waters.

Where all that wealth winds up is anyone's guess, but one thing is for sure, no money ever seems to stay long enough to do any good to the civilian stakeholders of the Niger Delta, who continue to live and die on the front line in their front yards, either by violence among the oil pipeline prosepecting gangs,  or by the slow death of oil spillage pollution.

Nicely written Jakumo. . .Its a sad situation. Blaming it on the DPR and NNPC alone is not d answer. No matter how accurately they can regulate the multinationals. . . we still loose billions as a result of . . . "as highlighted in bold above".
Politics / Re: Black Hole: Nobody Knows How Much Oil Nigeria Sells by server34(m): 12:18pm On Apr 30, 2009
The media can say watever they want. . . . Its really not dat bad. . . DPR officials have an idea. They have an imprecise but really close figure. Oil companies submit the well performance reports to DPR every quarter. Even if the DPR officials may not actually use a flow meter to measure daily production and export. . . they can agree with the report sent by those companies under corporate transparency acts. . . and the multinational companies wouldn't wanna tarnish their image because everybody know say everyday for d thief, one day for d owner.

Family / Re: He Is Not Attractive. What Can I Do? by server34(m): 11:43am On Apr 15, 2009
It depends . . . @ Poster, are you attractive yourself? If not, then you shouldn't be bothered. Take myself for an example, I know I am very very ugly, so I decided to date a lady equally as ugly. Over 3 years now, we have not had any problems with our relationship. I know we were simply meant for each other.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bank Marketing Job (128k) Or Engineering Job (100k)? by server34(m): 9:13am On Apr 13, 2009
Finecat:

In as much as i don't believe this story i'll only tell you this. You must be crazy if you choose the bank offer. There is no job security at the banks, especially spring bank. most banks are in financial mess but they won't reveal the truth. a word is enough for the wise, go for the oil company and broaden your horizon.

Why don't u believe? . . . and the poster is not crazy! Every1 has a right to their opinions.

@ Poster . . . . I'd go for the Engineering Company offer.

naija movies na pure opata!!!i no fit waste my time on them.i wonder when we will be able to produce films with superb story lines like;Slum Dogg Millionaire.
Even though am not a fan of Nigerian movies, I know that there are quite a number of them that have story lines as good as Slumdog Millionaire if not better. Of course the production is wack, but some have interesting story lines.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Contract Job With Total (200k) Vs Masters In The Uk: Which Do U Prefer? by server34(m): 4:00pm On Apr 06, 2009
The Poster no dey here again sef. He didnt tell which course he's gonna study for his masters and where . . . He didnt tell d kind of contract job he was offered by Total.

I also noticed on d thread that most of the learned ones abroad are advising you to take d job. I will stick wit them . . . defer your admission for one year. Total is a good company, you could get employed during your contract job, and I know Total sponsors their staff for Masters abroad. . . u'll just use the money u would've saved in one year plus ur dad's money to flex while studying. . . .

I dont really like the movies cos they're predictable. I dont hate them either. But Its very relaxing sometimes when you can relate to the movie you are watching better than Iron Man or Xmen.
Education / Re: Which Kind Of Food Can One Take Before Exams by server34(m): 3:32pm On Apr 06, 2009
Am not sure about food, but good sex stimulates the brain. It is known to work for both males and females, but higher exam grades have been observed with females who just had about 30mins of good sex shortly b4 an examination. No references will be made on the statement above!
