When the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.

We have become victims of circumstance surrounding us.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man becomes the king.

. . . . need I say more?

@ Lucabrasi, Aha. . . won ti de oh! (Ils sont arrive) dem don come.

The minister, however, explained that the rebranding project would be financed with the N150m set aside for the defunct Heart of Africa Project in the 2009 budget.

Even though I dont see anything wrong with the woman and her Idea . . . forget all these pessimists and haters wey full here. I just think dat N150m is too small. Even if they share it amongst the over 150million 'rebrandees', na N1 each of us go get.

Even though she pointed out lots of truth in that very long interview gist, I dont see a reason why she should start pointing out the ills of other countries (India, South Africa, Venezuela, etc) to make her point. She could have made a good argument for rebranding Nigeria without necessarily "debranding" some other countries.

proudly9ja:

Those critisizing what she has said whould please take a few mins and actually READ THE POST! Stop reading headlines before jumping to conclusion!
proudly9ja:

I think we should read what Dora has said and attack the issues and not the persnality.

Exactly. . . . I just hate the choice of topics for threads or media headlines . . . . so misleading, and usually diverts attention away from the important issues.
Politics / Re: Yoruba Moves To Reclaim Lead In Education by server34(m): 12:22pm On Apr 01, 2009
@ Poster. U had to make d topic of ur thread reflect how much of a tribalist u are? If u had left the original media headline Yoruba elders move to salvage education, set up trust fund, It would have been a different thing and a nicer thread to comment and wish u guys d best. Instead, u chose to make bad out of good news by using ur rather one-eyed, self-centered, hating topic Yoruba Moves To Reclaim Lead In Education.

We say NO to tribalists in Nigeria!

Poster, I think you should change the subject; people are hung up on the N12 million. I doubt if most people are going to the link you attached at the bottom of your post.

The real gist is in that link, the N12m is not the issue.

Abi oh. D issue is in d living large not d 12m. 12m too small for the guy sef.
