. . . and if "experienced" people tell u dat there's no future for you, wat are u gonna do? Remain abroad (if u are abroad) or jump in d lagoon (if ur in Nigeria)? . . . .anyways, I think your future lies in ur hand irrespective of wat u studied or wat country u are in. All u gotta do is make d best of it. If there was no future for u I believe dat course u studied wouldn't be existing. |
Romance / Re: Is A Man Worth Marrying If He Is Too Shy Even To Propose? by server34(m): 8:03pm On Mar 20, 2009 |
Shy to propose? Dat guy go shy to give im wife belle, he go shy to born pikin, he go even shy to commot outside make ppl no sabi say im don marry. My advice for the ladies, when u meet a man dats shy to propose, propose to him. He'll be shy to say NO! |

Mr Jaylon - feeling like superman! Abi na Voltron! Aren't we still saying the same thing? that Lagos SG isn't targeting the Igbos but is only bringing down illegal markets? The only part I disagree wit you is that you claim to visit these markets and yet haven't noticed that most of them are dominated by Igbo traders? |

Tried it once recently - legally in amsterdam. Since then, I always dream about a vacation trip to amsterdam . . . am going there next weekend again! Ha ha! And why is presido1 accusing Hesperus of trying it at old age? Na bad thing say we no get the opportunity take am for JSS3 like u? Abi because we were responsible young kids back then? Meanwhile, why would I have tried it then after I saw the effect on a close friend who took it. He ran home immediately to his mum saying "Mummy Pls pray for me! Pray for me! Angels are chasing me!" And this isn't a joke at all. My friend was really scared that he was seeing some things in white following him - he wasn't sure if they were demons or angels. Im mama wan kill am dat day - I remember vividly. |

The Lagos state govt is targeting illegal markets and not Igbos. Isn't it just a coincidence that most of the ilegal markets na igbo men dey there? Come to think of it sef which major markets for lagos no be igbo? |

Career / Re: Beng(chemical), Internship In Shell, & Msc (petroleum) Abroad, Still Jobless: by server34(m): 7:51pm On Mar 15, 2009 |
@ Poster, from what you said, you graduated from your masters program in september last year. Most of the oil companies do not just conduct tests and interviews for graduate positions randomly. They usually advertise yearly in the dailies, and this comes up usually around May-August. So, you would have to wait a little while to make your applications. Meanwhile, you should drop your CV on Total and Exxonmobil website for graduate positions. Try careers.total.com and fill out an unsolicited application. I wish u all the best. My other advice is that you can remove your M.Sc degree from your CV when applying to non-oil companies, as this would usually make them have a bias towards you. laplace: And you, why have you decided to vent your frustration out on the poster? Did he tell you he was dreaming? Or is it because his credentials could be better than yours? Did you not see from his post that he has been applying to other companies besides oil companies? It is only natural for someone with a masters degree in petroleum engineering to aim for a career with Oil companies. |

@ ajiri avae. I really dont have comments for u anymore. I just want 2 let u know that the mistake of a teller receiving N100 note in a pack of N1000, or having a fake not interpacked is not in anyway dumb. It could happen to anybody, and it happened to me a couple of times when I worked as a teller, and am so damn sure dat I'm smart as SMART could be. Also, I guess u dont know dat a teller is made to sign on any pack of notes he releases to a customer. And if any wrong denomination is found inside, u are made to pay for it immediately. Do u know how many times I paid for mispacks and short packs? Do u know how many times I paid for fake notes out of my salary? Did I produce these fake notes myself? No. I received them from customers just like dat. Take it easy on dem bankers ok? |
