Happy birthday Damy! |
Lots of people who have criticized president Obasanjo's third term bid are stil alive and well. |
Multilinks is better for Internet connection. |
Congratulations, monister. Why don't you tell us something lovely about your future husband? ![]() |
Yeah, the Nairaland Forum has reached a reasonable revenue target that justifies the action of employing someone for $300 or so if I want the empire to keep moving forward. Although it would be bad if after paying for an admin one does not get the expected relief. I don't like volunteers because when you say "please this is what I want" the next thing you hear is "you are talking to me as if I am making any money from this job". |
Well I have always tried to let people understand that if you value your privacy the only information you need to hide is your full name, place of work, and street address. |
I have never used an MTN line. ![]() |
Well, Oasis, my baseless and unintelligent accusations have been right until this time. Normally I would ask over PM but the people would not respond, forcing me to use a more public approach. So you were caught in the fire that was started by others. Sorry! ![]() |
(I believe that) people should retire only when they are too old to work - that is, when they can no longer get out of bed in the morning. (If you really love your work you will never want to quit.) Or else what you will effectively have is a country in which so many people are sitting on their bums in the name of retirement and depending on the young people who are working to provide all the goods and services that they need. Anyway, it is funny for young pople to be looking forward to retirement already! |
The quality of the Multilinks service is very location-dependent. If you live in Lagos you should have no problems whatsoever but outside Lagos you might have problems depending on how far you are from their clsest base station. Yes, I agree with Layi that the Multilinks Internet service is much more reliable than that of Starcomms. |
Or they will see it as another reason to break away from "the Nigerian entity". |
Coca-cola Coke, because of the caffeine which keeps one awake. |
Glad to hear that it's original. Thanks! Yes, I jump to conclusions because I don't have the time to investigate every one of the almost 2000 posts made here daily. |
Source, please. |
Perhaps the Yorubas are more noticeable because I am obviously one (based on my name) and Hot-angel and Nike and Layi and Goodguy and all the other top posters except Nferyn and Snazzydawn. |
Retirement? Funny! |
nigerian groups, especially yorubas, think they are better than every one else, especially the igbos. for the love of God i can't understand whyOk, so you are against the idea of ethnic superiority, right? igbos are the strongest group of nigerians i know, and if you know you are igbo, stand up and be proud of who u are!But a few sentences later you are promoting the idea of Ibo superiority. Isn't that hypocritical? |
Someone suggested that MTN should quit the mobile phone business and dedicate themselves to TV adverts! |
You don't "know" your husband-to-be. You choose your husband-to-be. As you lay your bed, so you shall lie on it, so choose wisely and trust only your own judgment since you will be the one to live with him. God luck ![]() |
I have been screaming Ngozi Okonjo-Iyeala for a long time but no-one is listening. |
So this is 'condescending'. No matter what you do, someone will complain. ![]() |
There's online publishing supported by advertising: you start a popular website and then you put ads. With an enormous amount of traffic, you'll make money. That's probably about all you can do now since Nigerians can't yet buy or sell online. |
No, it won't. You can teach people the language of your choice but you can't go about telling people what languages they can or can't speak in the country. There has to be freedom of speech, right? |
Yes, and I will like to add that he looks nothing like me! ![]() |
Hello, Someone told me that Nairaland is a predominantly Yoruba forum and that we discriminate against the Igbos in particular. I would like to defuse this allegation by asking the Ibos on the forum (and all those who are not Yoruba) to identify themselves and tell us where they are from. This should be fun! |
