FamilyRe: Gay Marriages by Seun(mod): 2:48pm On Jan 18, 2006
We do not have a shortage of children in the world, and so the fact that gay couples can't bear children is irrelevant. In fact, there are many children who have no parents. They are called orphans. It would be better to have two gay parents than to remain orphans.

The fact that I am a man who loves women shouldn't stop me from recognizing the right of another man to love men. I believe that as much as possible we should live and let live. There are other 'sins' - like fornication, adultery, and lying - which are looked down upon by the society but are permitted by law.

Homosexuality is just like that. It may be abnormal and difficult for us to understand, but it's not even as harmful as adultery. So if people decide to go into it knowing the social consequences, they should be allowed.
TravelRe: Olumo Rock Pictures by Seun(mod): 1:29pm On Jan 18, 2006
These are lovely pictures, Dagaro. Thanks for submitting them! I don't remember seeing anything like what you have in your third picture, and the iron rods in your first picture were not there during my visit. Hope you had fun?
FamilyRe: Gay Marriages by Seun(mod): 1:14pm On Jan 18, 2006
Here's my proposal. The government should recognize homosexual unions and allow such couples to adopt children. But they should not call it marriage. They should just call it gay union and give it most of the privileges available to married couples (such as tax breaks for children in their care).

"Hello, I'm John and this is my partner Mike. We formalized our union last year."
"Hello Mike, I'm Seun and this is my wife Jill. We got married last year"

The word marriage has a specific meaning and there's no need to extend it. Just create a new word for the gays who want tax breaks and the other benefits of marriage, simple.

Everyone should be happy with that. Any country wants to license this brilliant idea? smiley

RomanceRe: Is She Having An Affair? by Seun(mod): 12:32am On Jan 18, 2006
Yes. Probability: 99%. Though it depends on your definition of an affair. Perhaps she's just toasting other men so she'll have somewhere to go when she finally summons the courage to dump you?
PoliticsRe: Foundation of a Good Economy: Communication, Transport, Electricity and water by Seun(mod): 10:01pm On Jan 17, 2006
So maybe the Government should provide free food for everybody since it's as essential as water?
FashionRe: Is It Ok For A Nigerian Girl To pierce her nose for the sake of fashion? by Seun(mod): 8:31pm On Jan 17, 2006
The problem is that it's permanent. Once you deform your nose with a piercing, you won't be able to fix it when you come back to your senses.
FamilyRe: My Friend's Parents Separated Over Her Friend by Seun(mod): 8:30pm On Jan 17, 2006
Tell her it's probably not her fault. If a relationship is not having problems, they can't suddenly split up over the actions of a third party.

If you start a topic and you only want older members to reply, you can say something like "30 somethings only please" and this will give me anough excuse to delete posts from members under 30.

SportsRe: Let's Separate Footbal Forum From Sports Forum by Seun(mod): 4:56am On Jan 16, 2006
We normally add new forums based on demand. If we start to see a lot of posts on other sports apart from soccer then we'll know that it's time to create a thread dedicated to soccer and one for other sports. As things stand today, the Sports forum is basically a soccer forum with occasional athletics discussions and this helps the discussions outside soccer to receive more attention.

RomanceRe: How Do You Know When a Boy Likes a Girl? by Seun(mod): 3:22am On Jan 16, 2006
hot-angel:
I know this is a crazy sign. But when some boys like a girl.. they start acting soo stupid arround her. Like really stupid, and they kind of treat her like.... "ohh who's she". But deep inside them, they Like the girl soo much.
Such relationships don't last. The attraction might be there but the mutual respect is not there so it's a good thing if they don't get together.
