Another Question: If NTA is one of the organizers of the show, then surely we'll be seeing a lot of ads on the various NTA network channels programmes and such as the NTA news. So at what time can we look out for your ads? |
Welcome to Nairaland! I want to assure you that you will be taken very seriously by members of the forum when you start participating in this forum in a way that assures us that you're not here just to promote your programme. Seun. |
Please tell us more about the organizers of this show. |
Forget it, he will not come back. They are all headstrong. |
He was banned for saying "bye bye" to the forum. |

Voters US voters dissapointed in the US politicians for letting Katrina happen like this |
Are you kidding? It's a daily ritual. TPBM is having fun. |
Hello there, If you're married, you probably share the same religious faith with your spouse; you go to church, mosque, or religious meeting-place together and take your children along. You probably have prayer time once in a while or every day. Now let's say you've been running your Muslim household, Christian family, or family of believers in whatever you believe for a while. You've been teaching your children in the path you believe they should go. Then one day one of your children (probably your teenage firstborn) says "I have given my life to Christ" (and you're Muslims), or "I'm not going to church anymore" (and you're Christians) or "I don't believe in God anymore" or something along that line. Something that is contrary to all you've taught your child to believe in religion, faith, spirituality. Your child rejects your family religion! How would you respond? |
Hello there, For those of you who are married or planning to get married, I want to know what you'd do if your child comes home one day and announces "I thinkI'm gay". Your girl says, "I'm attracted to other girls/women, and not men". Your boy says, "I'm attracted to other boys/men, and not girls.". How would you react? I want to know! |
However, I wouldn't advice this, because the cost of using this service equivalent to the cost of calling an MTN number, and you are billed per second (or per minute) for a service that is quite slow. That's roughly 40-50 naira per minute you'll be spending just to browse, compared to 100 per hour for a cyber-cafe, so I'll would advice you to just find a reliable cyber-cafe in your area and use it for now! What do you say? |
MTECH Mlife offers such a service, and you can connect to their service via and GSM network with CSD support. In Nigeria, that will be MTN, Vmobile and Glo-mobile (MTEL users like me don't have that option!) Thanks for your suggestion! Actually, I have the Avant browser installed. It's pretty fast but lacking in features. A registered version of Opera would have been the best browser choice for me, but for the fact that it doesn't support the use of a custom User-Agent string. |
Administrator, ban this user or else I'll quit! - Ra. |
I'm simply going to transfer my domains to another registrar. |
Yes, the website is a low quality site even by Nigerian standards. |
I decided to watch Sin City yesterday, because you people kept talking about Jessica Alba's Lap Dance. I'm glad I did; it was a good movie! It wasn't as nauseating as most horror movies, because all the gruesome deaths on screen were reserved for the bad guys, while the deaths of the good people were either not shown in real time or very quick (shooting, no torture). Also, I was able to protect myself from any shock by reading what's going to happen next from a spoiler page before each brutal scene in the movie. About the lap dance: Jessica Alba is hot, always hot, but the lap dance scenes were brief and nothing special - I did not see anything of her that I haven't seen before. ![]() https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b3/Sin_City_Jessica_Alba_poster.jpg/220px-Sin_City_Jessica_Alba_poster.jpg However, the movie made up for it by having very strong storylines. And the ending was perfect, and |
I feel very sad when I hear about all these things happening in the US because we all look up to that country; we expect them to be able to predict when these things are going to take place and act to minimize the casualties, but it appears that they have been overwhelmed by this natural tragedy, to the extent that they can't even give an accurate estimate of the number of casualties. Hurricane Katrina ![]() |
You may be right there, considering the fact that eve is not so hot. |
It doesn't look so legitimate. |

What's the FM Frequency for Brilla FM? |
Yes, but I've been their customer for about 3 years and I've been a Nigerian throughout that time, so I don't understand why they've decided to do this. I don't believe in curses, or I would have cursed their children and childrens' children . |
obong, you don't know about the great river Niger. Oh no! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/0e/Niger_river_map.jpg/300px-Niger_river_map.jpg The Niger River is the principal river of western Africa, extending over 2500 miles (about 4000 km). It runs in a crescent through Guinea, Mali, Niger, Benin and Nigeria, discharging through a massive delta, known as the Oil Rivers, into the Gulf of Guinea. The Niger is the third longest river in Africa, exceeded only by the Nile and the Congo River (also known as the Zaïre River). Its main tributary is the Benue River. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niger_River |
Hurricane Katrina was a powerful tropical cyclone that caused extensive and severe damage in the southeastern United States and will likely be judged as the worst natural disaster ever to hit the United States. Disaster relief plans are in operation in the affected communities. Some experts predict one million people could become homeless as a result of the storm [1]. Currently, five million people are without power in the Gulf Coast region, and it may be two months before all power is restored [2]. The aftermath of the storm compounded problems. In particular, the breaching of some levees protecting the major city of New Orleans, Louisiana caused water to flow unabated into the city. There remains a humanitarian disaster, with many people stranded due to flooding [3]. Thirst, hunger, and lack of facilities are leading to lawlessness. The federal disaster area has been placed under the control of FEMA (under Michael Chertoff) and the National Guard; despite numerous reports in the media, there is no declaration of martial law. [4] The disruption of petroleum supplies, exports, and imports caused by the storm will likely have major global economic consequences. Katrina may be the deadliest hurricane in the United States since the Galveston Hurricane of 1900, which killed around 8,000 (possibly up to 12,000) people. It may even surpass the deadliness of the Galveston hurricane: as of 7 PM CDT September 1, 2005, more than 20,000 are still reported missing. New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin stated on August 31 that the death toll of Katrina may be "in the thousands," which was confirmed by emergency responders through a statement by Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco on September 1. It will take weeks before accurate numbers are known, but Katrina is also expected to be the costliest natural disaster in United States history, exceeding Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina The effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans was disastrous. By August 30, 2005, one day after Hurricane Katrina made landfall, 80 percent of the city of New Orleans, in the U.S. state of Louisiana, was flooded, with some parts of the city under 20 feet (6 m) of water. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effect_of_Hurricane_Katrina_on_New_Orleans |
Yes, I agree that we should at least try to support the Nigerian citizens who have been affected by the storm. But wasn't there an evacuation exercise before it hit? |
If it's true, as some commentators like to assert, that "everybody" (every Nigerian politician) has one thing or the other to hide, it's not in the interest of the others to expose Atiku unless he's involved in a scandal that's blown up to a level where it it too big to be pushed under the carpet. If the US investigators don't find anything, I'm betting that there'll be no investigation of the Vice President at our end. See Also: Meet the Veepee at Black Looks |

There are some few girls that will show concern to any friend who seems to be in deep trouble; not because they are in love with every single friend but because they are nice girls. Such a girl will always pass the test, even if she has other people she loves more. And there are some other girls that, no matter how much are in love, have been indoctrinated by society to believe that the girl should be the recipient of all the attention and not the other way round. So such girls will always fail this test even if the person administering it is the number one person in their lives. So we should be careful about what conslusions be jump to based on such tests. |
Imnakoya, you beat me to it! Here's what I was planning to write: "But, the ID card might help to provide unique identification for each citizen of Nigeria. Such identification helps in providing some services - like widespread availability or credit for consumer purchases - that are simply not existing in Nigeria today. Services that whites have grown to depend upon!" |
