Mine first UPS was a Bluegate 650VA model, and the coil got spoilt in a month. The repairman showed my his store and 80% of the damaged and abandoned UPS systems in his store were Bluegate models. In addition to this, after another few months my Bluegate UPS got spoilt again a few months after repairs. This shows that Bluegate is an unreliable UPS brand. What UPS Brand would you recommend? I need something that will last and I'm ready to pay 1k extra for it. |
If indeed this story was true, you would have provided us with a link to your source. Since you have made no effort to provide such a link, it cannot be true. |
My day has been pretty ok. I've had some interesting challenges, but I think I'm on top of them. How about your day? (one post for each day!) |
Here is a recap of the club match in question, from Thisday: "Super Eagles skipper Jay Jay Okocha, who skipped Nigeria’s crunch World Cup tie with Algeria, was substituted yesterday as Bolton played a goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers at the Reebok. Okocha, who missed the Oran game due to injury, was removed in the 78th minute after failing to stamp his authority on the match." http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=27920 (username and password "nairaland" ![]() |
It is only natural that a Nigerian lady abroad, who would rather date and marry a black man (preferably someone from her tribe), would feel threatened by white ladies who are reducing the pool of black men available for 'our' girls! The only thing you can do to "get" those white girls is this: go ahead and fall in love with their white brothers! Date them, marry them, bring lots of cute black babies into their families! ![]() |
Hello, I'm about to buy a new UPS to replace one that recently stopped working. Since I hate leaving my site to go anywhere, I found someone who is going to Computer Village, Ikeja for some PC pheripherals, and I'm thinking of asking him to buy me a UPS too. He's asking for 10,000 naira for a 600VA Qlink UPS. I think he's overpricing this too much, since: - He's going to buy other items during his journey, and not just the UPS. - 600VA UPS systems of other brands are listed on Gafunk as costing 5,000 naira. What do you advice? Is a Qlink branded UPS really that expensive, or is this guy trying to make 5,000 naira (100% profit!) off me for just one purchase? Seun. |
All i can say is that this mistake was probably made long before Firefox became a popular browser! |
Oops, tcherokee, your website doesn't work with Firefox? But it's a sweet website. I must caution you that with a Flash-based website you'll have to depend on Advertisements, direct links, and word of mouth to drive traffic to your site. |
I absolutely agree with you! |
I wouldn't know. We have very few white girls in Nigeria! However, I would like to caution against this judging of black girls & white girls based on stereotypes. Afterall, there are exceptions to every rule! ![]() |
"Didier Drogba has threatened to stop playing for the Ivory Coast following the reaction of fans to their World Cup qualifying defeat to Cameroon. The Ivory Coast players were insulted and threatened by some fans after losing 3-2 to Cameroon in Abidjan." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/4235138.stm |
It's such a shocking story, and also not true! http://www.topix.net/who/angelina-jolie http://news.google.com/news?q=angelina+jolie This shocking "news" is not listed on the above pages, so it's not true! |
"Reigning champions Enyimba of Nigeria have crashed out of the African Champions League after they lost 2-1 to Ahly in Egypt. Instead Raja Casablanca of Morocco, who won 3-0 in South Africa against Ajax Cape Town, clinched the last semi-final spot ahead of Enyimba." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/africa/4236158.stm |
May the Lord bless you richly! |
This is not a chatterbox thread. |
There is no conspiracy against us; we are our own worst enemies. Many Asian countries have been able to develop their economies very well despite the so-called western conspiracies, so why can't we move forward? |
The simple alternative is to pool money to buy shares in the already licensed private refineries. |
Nice topic. We can start this discussion where 'Dating a White Lady (or man)' stopped. So why is it that people who are otherwise not racist, when confronted with the spectacle of a black man or woman dating a white woman or man, discover themselves to be strongly against such relationships? Why is inter-racial dating & marriage frowned upon by so many? Will this change with time? Please open a new topic if you want to talk about inter-tribal dating & marriage in Nigeria |
The US has a government-licensed agency that handles the issue of music streaming. You pay a simple fee and you have rights to stream all the music you want. But no such agency exists in Nigeria! |
It won't be hard to set up some form of music station for Nairaland, but the challenge I'm facing is this: how do you do it legally, with proper compensation for the owners of the music? Santjoe, the answer to your question is at: www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-872.0.html |
Layi, for inviting 16 people to Nairaland, you're going to get the token of appreciation, too! |
Good point, Bibi. When we praise them for their good action, they will tend to do more! |
I've taken the liberty to include that pic in your profile. Hope you don't mind? |
Yep. And I take it that this thread is your way of introducing yourself to the forum! |
Well, KC, you really don't really have to attach your picture to every post. We've seen the picture in three places and we're convinced (I'm speaking for all the males!). Once again, you're welcome to participate and invite all your friends. |
Thanks a million, whiteshark. There is going to be a thank you message to members in the next edition of the Nairaland Newsletter. |
We look forward to covering your show on the Nairaland forum, but we really do need to see those TV ads first! |
Hello there, I have just noticed that we have more than 3,000 registered users (members) on the Nairaland Forum today. For celebrating and promoting the growth of Nairaland, Allenpowered and chimanu2000 will be getting a special token of appreciation from Nairaland next week. Previously, - Allenpowered asked, "how do we celebrate the 1000th member?" - chimanu2000 asked, "should we do something at the 2000 member point?" So how should we celebrate this new growth milestone that we've achieved? Seun. |
I'd steal Vexxy and Greatpeters' loving, positive hearts and give them my "under fire" heart! |
Nice one there; I love it! ![]() |
