We don't know this for sure. It seems true, but it's perhaps that some objects we consider to be unconscious are just unable to communicate.

Now to the questions I can understand:

* How do you think consciousness originated? Feel free to speculate.

It appears to have originated during the evolution of animals, but I certainly don't know the details. Waiting for biologists to figure it out.

* What explains the fact that we need consciousness to know anything exists?

What explains the fact that we need legs to walk?

* If only the universe exists, how does consciousness allow us imagine entities and universes unseen in our universe (ie think outside the box of the universe)?

How do our legs allow us to walk to places that we have never been to before?

* God has been suggested as the primordial cause of consciousness, why do you disagree with this and what problems does it have?

In the absence of any actual evidence that God even exists, what's the basis for suggesting that he is the primordial cause of consciousness?

This is just another God of the gaps type of argument. We don't fully understand X at the current time, therefore God is responsible for X.

Yes, I stopped assuming that God exists and the bible is his book. I decided to base my beliefs on evidence and logic. That made me an atheist.

We can argue from now till eternity I can't logically defeat u because Christianity is nothing logical at all.

Things that are right tend to be logical. Things that are wrong tend to be illogical. Is it likely that your religion is the only exception to this rule?

Religion says that God is loving, kind, just, merciful, etc. Elementary logic shows that this can't be true. Religion says that the universe was created in 7 days. Science shows that this is comically inaccurate. Why should we believe this same source when it says that God exists?

And on why God chooses to burn people? Why do people choose to be disobedient?

If God existed, and wanted us to obey him, he would have made us naturally eager to obey him, like robots and German Shepherd Dogs. He would also have made his existence more easy to verify. A God who wanted universal obedience would not pretend that he does not exist.

Don't hate God. Hate superstition. Hate irrationality. Hate false beliefs. There's no evidence for the existence of any God for you to hate.

It's one thing to give an explanation and a completely different thing for the explanation to actually be true. Science can't yet tell us what led to the existence of the compressed ball of matter that exploded at the beginning of time, just as your religion can't tell us who created God.
