Beating innocent civilians for wearing army uniforms won't stop criminals from using army uniforms to perpetrate evil, because they are criminals. In fact, it helps the criminals, because it ensures that people will assume that anyone wearing a military outfit must be a real army officer. And if you want to outlaw the wearing of military-like uniforms, that should only mean those wearing it will be arrested, not beaten.

Empathy gives us the motivation to help one another. So it's not bad thing. But it's not the only thing that motivates us to help. Sometimes it's mutual self interest. Sometimes it's a desire to get into the person's pants. Sometimes it's a desire to be praised, or just to feel good about ourselves. You're right in observing that empathy has limitations but that doesn't mean empathy is bad. It's just one out of many motivations.

They have issues with xenophobia. Nigerians and other foreigners were killed just because they are not South Africans. Is your friend white?

Dorox's account is the only claimed eyewitness account that we have so far. I believe him more than I believe Pastor Chris, for sure. If smoke really came out of the ground, someone who wants to prove that Pastor Chris is not a liar should've gotten an eyewitness account by now.

Have our been able to prove that there are millions of sperm cells in a teaspoonful of semen? Did it make sense to you to conclude that whoever wrote that simply lied?

Yes, I can take semen to any lab to have the sperm cells examined. This is how a low sperm counts are diagnosed. I can also buy a microscope. Numerous scientists and science students can testify that they have seen the sperm cells. The same can't be said of Pastor Chris' smoke.

Have you tried pushing some deaf fellow to the ground too? Maybe it's easy as you made it look (pushing her to the ground )

The woman has lung cancer which spread to her bones. Pushing her back when she couldn't and wouldn't resist the push is no achievement.

The woman was dying and in great pain, and all he had to offer her were false claims of healing and being pushed to the ground. Twice.

Till date we have not been able to find anyone who can confirm the story of smoke coming from the ground and from the sky/ceiling and enveloping the hall, or the claim that every person who was sick was healed. Doesn't it make sense to conclude that Pastor Chris simply lied?

I've found the part of the video where Pastor Chris apparently healed people who were deaf in one ear by casting out the demon of deafness. And also the part where he called out a woman dying of lung and bone cancer and "healed" her by pushing her to the ground as she cried.

Being an atheist or not has nothing to do with whether or not the Pastor was lying because he thought that his story wouldn't be fact-checked.

When I need healing I will go to a hospital. If the best scientific medical treatment I can afford doesn't cure me, then I will accept my grim fate.

In your regular life, God doesn't do anything for you. He doesn't feed you unless you feed yourself. He doesn't give you money unless you work hard to make money. What makes you believe that the same God who normally can't be expected to do anything tangible for you unless you do it yourself or someone helps you will suddenly change his normal behaviour and choose to intervene miraculously when you run out of options?

I'm glad that you are willing to admit that that Pastor Chris may have lied. If you were convinced of his integrity, you'd totally believe the story.

Exactly! But before bringing that up, we need to first establish that people actually saw smoke rising out of the ground and falling from heaven.

The Nurses on duty called the doctor to come from home that house opposite is burning and people are making noise from there. He told us the next day that he saw fire in the place, he stopped hearing noise and later the fire stopped and he went back home.

So while you were praying, God made your neighbours think your house was literally on fire. For what purpose? To confuse and scare them?

There was even a meeting where the building literally shook because of the power of God.

When Pastor Chris ministered at Benny Hinn's church, he spoke of a 1989 camp meeting in which smoke filled the hall and healed everyone:

In 1989, that very year, I remember we were in a camp meeting. And while we were there in this beautiful pavilion, I had many people who had come to be healed. Suddenly the glory of God was upon us in a special way. And then, smoke began to come from the ground. You know, people use smoke machines today. There was no smoke machine back then. Smoke started coming from the ground. And then, the people were screaming. "Look at that! Look at that! Look at that!" Then suddenly, from above us, it started descending as well. And then, before a few minutes, the whole place was covered with the glory of God. It was amazing. And every sick person in the audience was healed. Every one.

This is an amazing story. The visible smoke! Every case of down's syndrome, sickle cell anemia, amputation, albinism, HIV/AIDS, etc in the entire assembly instantly cured! Every pair of reading glasses in the hall rendered useless! Anyone who witnessed it would never forget it.

To NurseEze1: To add to delishpot's answer, selling condoms to unmarried couples isn't sinful; it's smart. If you refuse to sell condoms to 'fornicators' and 'adulterers', will they stop having sex? No. Because their bodies are on fire, they will just have sex without condoms, which will lead to the transmission of STDs to each other and their innocent spouses, and also to unwanted pregnancies. Unwanted pregnancies usually lead to abortions. Refusing to sell condoms to people who might use them outside wedlock, promotes abortion and harms public health.
