Plagiarism isn't acceptable. You must post links to the pages where you got the info.

The fact is that, you knew that thread had been on NL before,
I didn't. If I did, I would have admitted to it.

you capitalized on Nigerians' short memory and posted that thread,-
I'm a Nigerian too, so I guess I have a short memory and that explains everything.

knwoing it must have fully served its mission before people would call you out.
If I knew it was a 2015 story, I would still have featured the thread because the original thread didn't have the full info, but I would have indicated the date. The fact is that Bishop shouldn't have asked people to spill blood, whether he said it in 2015 or 2017. It was unChristian.

It's honourable for Seun to also publicly apologise here after arrogantly saying on that thread that the video was recent.
I don't remember actually saying it was recent, actually. I asked for evidence that it was an old story, and we updated the title accordingly.
Christianity EtcRe: How Big Is The Faith Of A Mustard Seed? by Seun(mod): 5:17pm On Jan 16, 2017
I think I understand you, but you're over-analyzing the verse. Jesus was clearly referring to the size of the seed, not the size of the tree.
PetsRe: Can I Give My Dog Fry Groundnut to add weight by Seun(mod):
I'm not sure that dogs can digest roasted groundnuts; since they don't really chew.

Soybeans can be poisonous if not processed well, and the proper processing is very time-consuming. Not worth it!

Any good brand of dog food should help your dog to gain weight if fed adequately. Buy a scale and measure the amount indicated on the pack.

If your dog doesn't eat as much of the dog food as he should, add some milk or sardine oil to make it more palatable, or try the arion brand.

Our family dogs eat cooked rice and shawa with chicken, mashed together, and they are very healthy and fat, but it's a pain to prepare it.

Yes, but what's even more barbaric is that: (1) The baby was punished even though he was innocent. (2) He suffered in sickness before he died.

I can forgive her for the premarital sex because women also have ... needs, but I can't respect anyone who lacks the sense to use protection.
Christianity EtcRe: Unmarried, Pregnant Pastor Justifies Her Act by Seun(mod): 3:51pm On Jan 15, 2017
How do so many apparently enlightened people get pregnant by mistake? Many married women have to put a lot of effort into getting pregnant.
Christianity EtcRe: How Big Is The Faith Of A Mustard Seed? by Seun(mod): 3:35pm On Jan 15, 2017
So Jesus was saying the opposite of what he clearly meant, which is that it only takes a little faith to achieve big things with God's power?
Christianity EtcRe: Sexual Repression: One Of The Vital Causes Of Insurgency. by Seun(mod):
Agreed. Here's how Palestinian authorities "deactivated" a terrorist group that helped them to get into power without bloodshed:

For months both men thought of various ways to solve the Black September problem, discussing and debating what they could possibly do, short of killing all these young men, to stop them from committing further acts of terror.

Finally they hit upon an idea. Why not simply marry them off? In other words, why not find a way to give these men—the most dedicated, competent, and implacable fighters in the entire PLO—a reason to live rather than to die? Having failed to come up with any viable alternatives, the two men put their plan in motion.

They traveled to Palestinian refugee camps, to PLO offices and associated organizations, and to the capitals of all Middle Eastern countries with large Palestinian communities. Systematically identifying the most attractive young Palestinian women they could find, they put before these women what they hoped would be an irresistible proposition: Your fatherland needs you. Will you accept a critical mission of the utmost importance to the Palestinian people? Will you come to Beirut, for a reason to be disclosed upon your arrival, but one decreed by no higher authority than Chairman Arafat himself? How could a true patriot refuse?

So approximately a hundred of these beautiful young women were brought to Beirut. There, in a sort of PLO version of a college mixer, boy met girl, boy fell in love with girl, boy would, it was hoped, marry girl. There was an additional incentive, designed to facilitate not just amorous connections but long-lasting relationships. The hundred or so Black Septemberists were told that if they married these women, they would be paid $3,000; given an apartment in Beirut with a gas stove, a refrigerator, and a television; and employed by the PLO in some nonviolent capacity. Any of these couples that had a baby within a year would be rewarded with an additional $5,000.

Both Abu Iyad and the future general worried that their scheme would never work. But, as the general recounted, without exception the Black Septemberists fell in love, got married, settled down, and in most cases started a family. To make sure that none ever strayed, the two men devised a test. Periodically, the former terrorists would be handed legitimate passports and asked to go to the organization's offices in Geneva or Paris or some other city on genuine nonviolent PLO business. But, the general explained, not one of them would agree to travel abroad, for fear of being arrested and losing all that they had—that is, being deprived of their wives and children. "And so," my host told me, "that is how we shut down Black September and eliminated terrorism. It is the only successful case that I know of."

Since sex outside marriage is forbidden to hardcore Islamists, they literally had to pay them to get married and make babies, and it worked.

I must have missed it;. People don't realize that I don't personally read every post on the home page. Still, I think it's important to emphasize the line about killing anyone who looks like them as it wasn't emphasized in the previous thread. We will update the title to reflect the date.

Christianity EtcRe: Oyedepo Commands Followers To Kill Suspected Terrorists - 2015 by Seun(mod):
Every decent person shares Bishop Oyedepo's feelings about Boko Haram, but asking people to spill the blood of "anyone that looks like them" (i.e. a northerner or muslim in the wrong place at the wrong time) is very wrong. Didn't Jesus say, "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"? How can you call yourself a Christian if you blatantly and proudly disobey the teachings of the very Christ you worship?

Dear Nairalanders,

We are cautiously optimistic that we have fixed the primary cause of the anomalies we mentioned earlier.

We have re-enabled profile editing.

We had to log everybody out once again to complete the process. Sorry about that.

Please don't hesitate to mail the supermods from the home page if you discover anything that is not normal.

Seun, you are forgetting I said my toe was swollen and painful too. How come it was no longer swollen and painful when l left church? Also it wasn't dry but still showed signs of wetness in the morning but it dried up after I prayed. It's not just the pain, it was swollen, wet and painful but after prayers the swelling was gone, I could pull the scale off it and it wasn't painful.
Let us assume that there was a dramatic and unprecedented improvement in the state of your toe injury. Is it wise to conclude that it was due to divine intervention without any investigation? Consider the fact that so many things attributed to God have been found to be perfectly natural through science. Perhaps there was something in your breakfast, body cream or quiet time position that caused the unusually fast healing, and if we discover it, we can sell the information to a pharmaceutical company for millions of dollars, to make a wonder-drug for healing toe injuries.

@Pidgin2: If a nice muslim lady told you that she injured her toe and applied the appropriate first aid, but 3 days later as she was leaving the mosque after mandatory prayers, she noticed that the pain was gone, would you accept it as a true miracle from God and convert to Islam?
Christianity EtcRe: Take Care Of Your Parents Now! by Seun(mod): 8:42am On Jan 11, 2017
Agreed, but I don't think committing your children to the way of the Lord is the answer. The way you treat your parents probably matters more.
