For some applications, the ugliness may be irrelevant, but such applications are usually web friendly. |
I want to upgrade, but the risks and work involved outweigh the potential rewards. Success is a pain, but I'm not complaining. And I don't like the new templates at all. |
Based on my little understanding of this VIN issue, deleting adverts without VIN would put local sellers at a disadvantage, because they might not have the VIN. If I'm wrong, please correct me. @igwe: why are you posting in all caps? that's rude. |
I'm happy that you want what's best for Nairaland. Personally, I find it annoying when links open in a new window, and I think many people feel the same way. If I want a link to open in a new tab, I'll right-click. |
You can buy a website and promote it, but you cannot buy quality pageviews, really. You can buy spam. |
Can anyone give a summarized step as to how to get my apache webserver to run pythonError. Don't use apache if you don't have to. if possible, else give how to make it run on my localhost. As I mentioned earlier, CherryPy comes with a built-in multi-threaded python web server. www.cherrypy.org Has anyone developed desktop apps aside the web using Python?I think it would be a challenge to write a desktop app with python, unless the app is open source. The GUI framework that comes with Python isn't very popular. It is possible, but it's a challenge. |
I think Nairaland car buyers are very smart. Once they see this thread, they will know what to do. Question: Does every car in Nigeria have a VIN? And how do you find out the VIN number? Thanks. |
I want to say "thank you" to everyone who has posted a topic here. I have used some already. |
Any thread about the Klitschko match? |
McCain just looks really pissed off. That can't help his campaign. Is it his arm? Does it still hurt? |
I just think all this pontification is folly. 419 is not different from any crime. The way you deal with a scammer is the same way you deal with a thief. If you really want to combat fraud, go and join the EFCC or the Police. That is how crime is fought. Better still, donate your salary to the EFCC. If you're not willing to get your hands dirty and put your life at risk, you can't fight crime. The way to fight crime is to arrest criminals. Period. You people don't want to 'combat fraud'. You just want to show you belong. (not you naijacuttee, you're ok, although you haven't shared any idea yet) |
Please, let's stop polluting the thread with offtopic comments. A topic and a link, that's all we need. Thanks. |
Give people good jobsYeah, it's that simple. and provide effective law enforcementAh, so that's what we need to do? Wow! Who knew? |
Post the title of the topic and a link to the web page where the discussion can be found. |
Some people want this thread revived, so bump. |
I think it's a wonderful thing for a pastor to experience what his church members are experiencing, too. |
What exactly do you hope to achieve by this? I don't get it. Our youths are as corrupt as the government. |
The only way to decongest Lagos is to destroy or spoil it, which obviously isn't acceptable. Congestion is unavoidable in major cities. Don't live in Lagos if you don't like congestion! |
Which Nigerian musicians are likely to win MTV awards this year? |
Nice thread. Moved to Culture subsection. |
Hello, To the people who are interested in posting and applying for legitimate jobs: - How are you finding our job/vacancy section? - Is it improving or deteriorating? - Are there measures you strongly feel we should take that we are not taking? - Is there something another Nigerian job site is doing well that we are not doing as well? Employers and job seekers, please talk to us. Your satisfaction is very important to us. Thanks. |

How is the color rendition of the led display compared to a LCD display? |
Is this a joke thread? Are you serious? |
One significant question is, who are we fighting fraud for? Are we fighting fraud just so Nigerians abroad won't be embarrassed? |
Thanks for the suggestions. Who do you think can really do the job? |
There are three things alexis:There are a few things I look for in a web framework: 1) Straightforward request dispatcher that supports clean urls. 2) Straightforward handling of GET and POST variables of all types. 3) Straightforward support for manual manipulation of cookies. 4) Performance. In your opinion, does web2py satisfy these requirements? What I hate most in a web framework: 1) Trying to design my database or write my queries for me. 2) Forcing me to subclass objects (I don't do OOP). 3) Being slow. I think reason (1) is why I don't use django. SQL is a neater way to process data than OOP. |
Find a location with better EVDO reception? Find an alternative to the chat rooms? Try using another ISP? |
