RomanceRe: Does A Broken Home Affect Future Romance? by Seun(mod): 11:36am On Jul 09, 2008
A broken home could have both positive and negative effect depending on how you respond to it?

On one hand, you will be more cautious about jumping into a marriage just because you feel "in love".
On the other hand, you may not have any idea about how a healthy marriage is supposed to look like.
Foreign AffairsRe: Can Africa Sustain Its Population? by Seun(mod): 11:29am On Jul 09, 2008
God gave man a mandate to go therefore to be fruitful
and to multiply and until he comes back, the mandate is still on.
When a man like Bill Gates has only one or two children and a poor man is busy "multiplying",
why won't the rich will continue getting richer and the poor getting poorer? When poor African
countries are growing faster than rich countries, how will they ever catch up with the world?

Music/RadioFemale African Musician With Short Hair And Strapless Gowns by Seun(mod): 12:44pm On Jul 06, 2008
There's this black lady musician that's shown regularly on the one of the network ads on DSTV.

Her music videos have been featured heavily on the Series Channel in the past. In her music videos she usually smiles a lot and dances on her own, wearing bright-colored strapless gowns and a short haircut, clapping from time to time.

I've seen her videos twice. Once, she was singing an English song with lots of what I think was "I wanna have ___" and the other time, she was singing in a language which I think is an African language. Both times, she was dressed as I described.

I would like to know her name. Thanks! They currently show a second of her on a DSTV network ad.
TV/MoviesRe: I Need Dvd That Can Play For More Than 6 Hours by Seun(mod): 9:42pm On Jul 05, 2008
Those 40 in 1 movie DVDs are pressed in commercial factories in Asia and then imported. I don't think people sell double sided DVDs in Nigeria.

To squeeze the 3 day programme into one DVD, your best bet is to edit it down to under 3 hours. Nobody is going to sit down for 7.5 hours watching people singing hymns, introducing the speaker, et cetera, even if it fits the DVD.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Documentary Production Needs Assistant Production Officer by Seun(mod): 4:59pm On Jul 03, 2008
Some tips for those that are interested in the job:

- If you forget to write a short application note, I may forget to read or respond to your CV.
To excel at this job, you must be able to follow simple procedures that have been laid down.

- It is helpful to include your experiences in film/tv/video/radio/drama/magazine production in your CV.
If you don't have any, you may be considered for an unpaid position if you're really determined.

TV/MoviesRe: I Need Dvd That Can Play For More Than 6 Hours by Seun(mod): 7:24am On Jul 03, 2008
Any DVD can play for 6 hours if you encode at a sufficiently low bitrate, but I understand your question: You want to buy double layer DVDs.

First, you will need a DVD recorder that supports that. As for the recordable DVDs, you can import order them through sites like amazon.com and a drop shipping service like orderbay (or Graphcard).

FamilyRe: Is My Wife The Devil's Agent? by Seun(mod): 10:45am On Jul 02, 2008
There's nothing wrong with your wife at all. She's just not compatible with you. That's all.
She's hot tempered and noisy and she's married to a man who can't stand nagging. In a strange land.
What you need to do is deal with whatever you are doing that is making her so angry. That's all.

Hmm, i like to put guys through so much before they can get me, because once they've got u, they forget all the promises they made and the tables get turned- the babe now becomes the one doing the pleading and petting.
That's because of what you put them through! Once they get you, they realize that you were not worth it.

good advice, but do you really think he would tell me that if I'd ask?
In most cases, he will tell you if you ask indirectly, or while you're still just friends.
These men are proud of it. If you can't trust your man's word, don't marry him either.

Polygamy is not normal in modern Africa. Just make sure you don't marry a man who believes in polygamy.

Jobs/VacanciesDocumentary Production Needs Assistant Production Officer by Seun(mod): 4:59pm On Jul 01, 2008
A documentary production (on careers in Nigeria) requires an Assistant Production Officer. This challenging 4 to 8-week contract job comes with a generous weekly salary.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Personal integrity is very scarce these days, but is essential for this job. You must be a completely honest person. One little lie can cost you the job. The producer won't accept excuses in lieu of performance.

2) The production is based in Sango Ota, but production will likely take place all over Lagos State and Ogun State. You must be willing to travel everywhere and set up meetings with lots of people to move the project forward.

3) You must be willing to assist the director with miscellaneous tasks during video shoots. Such tasks might include interviewing subjects, arranging for transportation of heavy video equipment, holding the boom mic, etc.

4) You must have an intelligent and creative mind. When unexpected challenges come up, you'll be required to figure out solutions and carry them out to make sure the production remains on schedule. Remember: no excuses.

5) Sometimes, you'll be required to research various topics, draw up viable plans, or conduct various surveys. You must be highly literate, a lover of knowledge, efficient, and Internet-aware. Preferably a graduate of a related discipline.

6) This is a 48 hour, Monday to Saturday job, because many interviewees will only be free on weekends.

SELECTION PROCESS:

1) Submit your application letter and complete CV to the producer, Mr. Oluwaseun Osewa, at . (No .docX attachments please; convert to .DOC or .PDF). Try to highlight any experiences that are relevant to this project.

2) If you're chosen, the producer will contact you for a pre-interview by phone, email, or chat.

3) If you scale that hurdle, the producer will invite you to Sango Ota for a final interview. Good luck.

RomanceRe: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Seun(mod): 2:22pm On Jun 30, 2008
Men are bigger, but some women are bigger than most men.

Some men have bigger boobs than most women.

Inequality is not a danger; it's a basic fact of life. No two men are equal.

The real danger is not allowing a man or a woman to achieve what he or she is capable of achieving just because he is a man or just because he is a woman. Whether the victims are men or women, the result is the same - people die without reaching the levels they ought to have reached in life. it's sad.

Other women don't have to be "emancipated" for a particular woman to move ahead in life.
