The more we blame our leaders for inaction, the more they will take freedom away from us in the name of action.
BusinessRe: Will A Large Supermarket Thrive In Nigeria? by Seun(mod): 8:06am On Nov 11, 2006
I like supermarkets because you don't have to haggle. Traders who operate like Supermarkets always sell faster.

There's no such thing as scarcity of jobs. Where there are problems to be solved, there are jobs.

Why a woman would willingly walk into an arrangement that makes her a slave is beyond my comprehension.
RomanceRe: Ladies That Cry! by Seun(mod): 5:01pm On Nov 10, 2006
Crying is good if not being used for manipulation of somebody.
PoliticsRe: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by Seun(mod): 4:13pm On Nov 10, 2006
If Internet and newspaper polls are anything to go by, he is capable of winning.
However, his inaugural campaign speech is full of empty sentences strung together.
Nothing concrete, just melodic arrangements of words that mean nothing. That's politics for you.

TravelNigerian Passport: Married Women Need Husband's Permission! by Seun(mod): 3:19pm On Nov 10, 2006
Hello,

If you're a married Nigerian woman and you want an International Passport, you will need a letter of consent from your husband:
Incase of married woman. A copy of marriage certificate or
sworn affidavit of marriage and consent letter from husband
http://www.immigration.gov.ng/passportypes.htm#standard
A married man does not need a letter of consent from his wife, but a wife needs her husband's permission to get an international passport.

If your husband is maltreating you, you will not be able to travel out to escape from him unless you already have an International passport. So ladies, make sure you get an international passport before selling yourself into slavery marriage to a Nigerian man.

I don't understand the purpose of this silly requirement. Do you? huh

Thanks.

Christianity EtcRe: Do White People Take Christianity As Seriously As We Do? by Seun(mod): 1:49pm On Nov 10, 2006
@shango:
Capitalism is about mutually beneficial transactions, not just "money".
Slavery was not mutually beneficial. The words "crime" and "business" are not synonyms.
RomanceRe: How To Tell My Co-Worker That I Love Her? by Seun(mod): 1:22pm On Nov 10, 2006
You love her because she is beautiful, but what you don't know is that there are dozens of other guys that love her for the same reason. If she is smart, she won't go out with a guy who loves her just because she's beautiful.
Jokes EtcRe: Democracy In Action by Seun(mod): 1:16pm On Nov 10, 2006
A few blocks from her house, another driver ran a light causing her to slam on her brakes to avoid a collision. The woman angrily exclaimed, "thief!"
Problems with your joke:
- Nigerians don't know what it means to "run a light"
- If a driver misbehaves on a road, the naturl response is to shout "idiot" and not "thief"!
LiteratureRe: Double Tragedy. Short Story By Ndipe by Seun(mod): 9:30am On Nov 10, 2006
Regardless of the nonsense written in a will, the widow owns 50% of the husband's possessions, so the husband can only give away 50% of his possessions through the will. He cannot give away what he doesn't own.
CareerRe: What Is Responsible For Career Success? Strategy Or Luck? by Seun(mod): 9:25am On Nov 10, 2006
Working smart is nothing special. It simply means working hard without excluding your brain from the hard work.
HealthRe: Suffering From Shyness by Seun(mod): 6:10pm On Nov 09, 2006
A lot of people are going to supply ridiculous and ignorant replies to this post, so please be prepared. When you say your brother is shy, are you just saying he doesn't look into peoples' eyes, or is it something more? Please give us a more detailed explanation of the behaviours you classify as shyness that your brother exhibits.

If it's a really serious case it may be Social Anxiety Disorder. Psychiatrists know what to do.
