Jokes EtcRe: The Many Faces Of President George W. Bush by Seun(mod): 4:24pm On Nov 24, 2006
The manner in which American residents jump to the defence of bad presidents borders on the religious.
Have you been brainwashed or something? Is there a cult of the president that immigrants are made to join?
Jokes EtcRe: The Many Faces Of President George W. Bush by Seun(mod): 4:20pm On Nov 24, 2006
We must not make fun of pastors because "God said, 'touch not my annointed'".
We must not make fun of presidents, because their office must be respected.
So who are we to make fun of? Widows, orphans, paupers, and HIV patients?

CareerRe: Is It Advisable For A Fresh Graduate To Take A Job Of 5000 Naira Per Month? by Seun(mod): 4:08pm On Nov 24, 2006
The only thing worse than 5,000 naira a month is 0 naira a month.
Any job you take today will make your resume more impressive to future employers.
If the job provides career development opportunities for you, take it. You can drop it later, anytime.
Christianity EtcRe: The Gospel Vs The Passion Of The Christ by Seun(mod): 3:13pm On Nov 24, 2006
All these 'gospel' movies are R-rated. Responsible parents should not allow their children to watch them!
Christianity EtcRe: A Religious Man Is Not A Free Man by Seun(mod): 3:07pm On Nov 24, 2006
All in all religion is bullshit.
This is so true! cheesy (I'm sorry, but I can't resist the temptation to say things like this!)
Christianity EtcRe: How Can God Allow Such? by Seun(mod): 2:22pm On Nov 24, 2006
I must confess that I didn't become an atheist by asking "why does God allow evil in the world". My initial question was, "why did God allow evil in my world". Only then could I really notice the evil in the rest of the world.

Francis was inspired to write this song after a series of tragic events in his home country, including the death of a religous icon. Francis says that "the aim of the song is pass a statement of hope."

The music speaks for him. I like the "besides you may need" line so much. It's Eminemish.

And another good side is that people will learn how to unplug electrical items when not needed.
Exactly. I have told people in the past that electricity supply is not "insufficient" in Nigeria, just underpriced.
Now that people are being made to pay for what they consume, things will start geting better.
LiteratureRe: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half Of A Yellow Sun by Seun(mod): 1:59pm On Nov 23, 2006
Here's the problem I have with books, which drove me away from book publishing:
- How can you expect a Nigerian to buy a book for 1500 when a Nollywood movie (video+audio) costs 450 naira?

ComputersRe: Processors: How Fast Can These Things Get? by Seun(mod): 10:18pm On Nov 18, 2006
With a coupla 486, you can build a complex supercomputer with gigaflop power
That would not be too wise. The price to performance ratio of newer processors is much higher. If you buy enough 486 processors to equal the processing power of a Pentium IV, the pentium IV would be cheaper.

PoliticsRe: Why Have We All Neglected The Grass Root? by Seun(mod): 12:09pm On Nov 18, 2006
Many of the grassroots are illiterate, yet you don't support illiterates in politics.
This means the grassroots can't govern themselves? What does "governance" imply anyway? Taxation?
