I’m a Blogger and Google Publisher. I’m here to Report my Issue with FCMB Bank.

On The 21st of this Month (December 2020), A Payment was sent to me by Google Ireland Limited just as they do every month Since this Year Started. The Payment was sent into my FCMB Bank- same Bank I’ve been using to receive all my Advert Payment From Google and Other Companies, but this time Around FCMB is refusing to Credit my Funds which was sent in by Google and I want to use this medium to WARN People about Transacting with FCMB Bank (Mostly International Money Transactions).

My Story goes as thus:
On The 21st of This Month Google Sent $2,685.38 USD to my FCMB Bank Account (The Same which they have been sending to every month and I’ve been getting credit – without issues).

22nd of December: I called FCMB Headquarters via this Phone Number: 012798800 and informed them about the incoming WIRE Transfer from Google Ireland; I mailed the Payment Receipt send to me by Google to them (via: customerservice@fcmb.com) and FCMB Bank’s Customer Service Rep who Picked up my Call and Logged my Transaction responded to me as thus: “I have Logged your Incoming Transaction, Be rest assured that FCMB will credit you once we confirm we have the corresponding Inflow…. Please, expect an update within the Next 24 Hours – You should receive it immediately we confirm we have the Funds in question”. That has been the response they always give me whenever I call in to inform them about an incoming USD Inflow every month and I get my credit before the end of Working day on that day or early 23rd which is the next Day….. This time Around I didn’t get it even on 23rd December.

23rd December: On This day, I called back FCMB Headquarters and the Customer Care Representative that spoke with me confirmed the Inflow and made me understand that he can see the Inflow pending and FCMB Bank is in receipt of the Funds and the only thing remaining is to credit my account, I asked him “Why is this taking Long? Since FCMB is in receipt of my Fund, Credit my account because I need my Money!”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to let me know that “From what I can see here, This Current Inflow is bigger than what you usually get from Google in the Past Months, we are looking into it – why is it so?” I replied as thus: “It’s not a Fixed Payment, it might go up or even be lesser depending on so many factors, but the Payment for this Month is bigger”, The Customer Service Rep went ahead to end the conversation by telling me this “Please, I have done a follow up on this issue to confirm why You’ve not been credited this amount which I can see from my end. Please, give us 24 Hours; you should be credited on or even before the 24 hours elapses”. After everything, I was expecting my credit as he promised But I saw nothing and I didn’t get any Credit after 24 Hours.

24th December: On This Day I called FCMB Headquarters again to complain on why they have not credited me my Inflow despite conforming they are in receipt of my Inflow, the Customer service Rep that Picked up my call told me this “We are in receipt of the Fund but the appropriate team noted that Your Name was not written in Full by the sender, Please inform REMITA to write your name in Full” I was dumbfounded because that was not my first time of receiving payment from the same Company Google Ireland Limited, and IF it was a Wrong Account or mistaken transaction, They wouldn’t see the inflow, neither will the transaction bear my account number and I explained it to the rep to check my previous inflows from the same company and see that’s how all the inflows has been and I have always been credited without such issues, I made her to understand that I need my money credited fast because I need to use it for my Christmas Celebration. I also made her know that it’s a Wire Transfer which has been coming in monthly like that and I’ve been getting my credit and I don’t have any transaction or history with Remita to start up a conversation with them… The Customer Rep informed me that I would be credited before the day runs out as she has done a Follow up on my Issue…. Uptill Today I have not received my Payment… I Was Home all day Yesterday being Christmas and uptill Now I’ve been and I’m Still feeling Bad because I have #0 With me and FCMB is holding my funds with Flimsy excuses. That Made me Not To Celebrate my Christmas- FCMB BANK is WITHOLDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY.

I decided to send a tweet to their Twitter Handle so as to make a further report in regards to the issue, and on getting to their Most Recent Post (as at 24th December 2020) I noticed a tweet by another Blogger who complained about FCMB Holding his Payment which was sent to him by Google Too (Screenshot Attached to this Post)… There and then I noticed I was not alone on this and it looks like FCMB is trying to play a Fast one on Bloggers. I sent out a tweet to their Official handle but got no reply even till this moment.

I have been getting my Credit into my FCMB Bank Account every month until this December and some FCMB Customer Reps have handled my Google Transactions in the Past and here are their Details for further confirmation:

Without going into much stories. My sis in the UK bout last month or so once shared a link to me bout the Hospital she works in had Vancancies for some foreign qualified Doctors or Nurse either practicing or internship worker. I had these besties one happened to be my Ex but we still vibe real good whilst the other happened to be a good friend of mine at school.

To cut the story short, after reading of how 9ja girls are really not appreciative of favors and reading of stories of how guys go the long length to help either their GF n friends and they later get to change in a shocking manner and especially those guys that would be like after all I've done for her she did this bla bla. I just met a guy last month ending, we exchanged numbers and started chatting. He asked me out.. I really enjoyed chatting with him, just him alone. So few days after, he invited me to his house. I declined but I noticed that he stopped chatting with me.

Few days after, he asked about my genotype without even greeting me. I counter questioned him and he attacked me, claiming that he is not happy with me. I replied that 'I don't care'.
The next thing I received was rains of insults. Saying that I insulted him. I admitted and we settled it.

For the short times I've known him, I could see the kind of qualities I want in a man. But the problem he has and that he attested to is verbal abuse...

I noticed that anytime he invites me to his house and I declined, it always piss him off and he stops talking to me.
I decided not to visit him because it's not safe for me.

Get a developer, reach an agreement with him and enjoy una life. All those mini flats developers build, landlord do have share in them. They might give you one flat or two, and you will still collect money for the long lease join.

5k working from 7am to 5pm, worked for two months till somebody asked me about my pay, I told em that it's 5k, he was surprised cux he know the Firm I'm working for won't pay 5k for my kind of work, he later made some enquiry and we realized that I'm been paid quarter of my salary.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR SYMPTOMS?

As someone living with sickle cell one thing I have come to term with is my symptoms.

Last week Monday, I was home and feeling extremely tired, 3 days prior to that, I have been losing my appetite to eat foods, fruits and even drink water. The highest I can do is to force myself to drink water by adding little garri inside the water.

So Monday came, I was so tired to do anything, with constant headache that paracetamol is no longer working for.

So I decided to go to hospital , before going, I already went to lab to run Malaria Parasite and PCV to enable faster consultation and diagnosis.

Getting to Hospital, I talked to the Dr , see me smiling, the result already show anaemia and presence of malaria parasite.

Though I really can't say how serious it is. I just knew that I will definitely be admitted even if not for blood transfusion.

Knowing fully well I will be admitted, I am still not comfortable, I still try asking if the Dr can treat me with drugs alone.
He laughed at me and said Kemi you are going on admission.

I just told him, I need to go back home and prepare,since I used my leg to come here. Though I was tired , I can still go back home.

Got home and receive some emails that I must attend to urgently. I forgot about hospital and focus on the work.

Back to hospital, I was examined again, I needed blood transfusion.

Thank God I have my brother with me who has same blood type with me.

Did I tell you? All through I was on call to attend to some work. After the call, I have to attend to a client on phone, the phone call was like 1 hr plus.

Even at the lab, the were like you are not too pale, I have learnt to mask my pain or tiredness to some extent.

I never knew I will spent 9 days on that hospital bed.

After the treatment, I still have this constant headache even when I was obviously stable.

But the Consultant said you are staying here because of the headache, I told him Dr give me drugs now, I will be fine. He said no, like he knew there is something more.

Friday evening came, I told my mum, I was feeling cold, I use one blanket, it wasn't enough, use another, it wasn't enough.

Ahhhh, my mummy has never seen me like that in many years. I knew she was afraid.

Within 5 minutes I was shaking like a fish outside water, the vibration was too much.

All I could say was mummy call the Dr, the Dr came running with a nurse, my temperature has skyrocketed, I couldn't breathe again.

God just knew what was happening and sent the consultant to come at the right time.

Dr, check blood pressure, check temperature, body was so hot that the thermometer couldn't read it again, the nurse scream sir, the temperature is so high.

All I could say was to affirm I shall not die but live. The next prayers was God I am yet to fulfill my purpose don't allow me to die with my full potential.

My mum didn't know what to do?
I used all my energy and said Dr please I can't breathe.

The Consultant ran outside to bring oxygen himself, open oxygen it was hard, ahhhhh! Which kind frustration is that, he brought another one,
All through I was already given injection, yet the temperature and cold never reduced.

After 2 hours, the cold started reducing, my veins collapsed, they have to use my leg,

Drips upon drips, test upon test, injections upon injections.

After 3 hours of being on oxygen, I got some relief
My mum, dad and Toba were lost, running helter skelter, buying this and that.

In all this, I am grateful to God, what if I neglect those symptoms and not go to hospital,
What if I thought I was well and force my discharge by signing?

What If I thought I can manage it at home? What if I see no seriousness in it.
Two symptoms I don't joke with is tiredness and headache

I follow my own advise. I kept telling sickle cell warriors, don't neglect symptoms like headache and Tiredness, they are not only linked to Malaria.

Infection and malaria was actually the underlying cause. Even if I drink ugwu, malt,milk, tomatoes,and all that,it won't even help the red blood cells that was breaking down at higher rate because the underlying cause was never addressed.
My mother was scared, I haven't had blood transfusion in the last 10 years but this is me thanking God for sparing my life..

With God by my side, I'll keep winning this battle.

So I have this American patient who I recently came across. He's a fat dude who is like in his late 40s but has a very jolly and likeable character. I introduced myself and we got talking afterwards.

After a while of chitchat, he asked me where I was from. I told him to take a guess and he said said, you sound like you're Nigerian. I told him (regrettably) that I was Nigerian. He started smiling and told me that he had a Nigerian girlfriend and that we both had similar accents.

He then started telling me recent occurrences that had befallen his girlfriend in Nigeria. He said the lastest story was that she was in Abuja and as she was on her way to the airport in a taxi, the taxi had an accident and she was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. He said that the hospital demanded money before treatment started and he had to hustle about $4000 and send to her in order for treatment to start.

He said that after a week of her being in the hospital, they wanted to discharge her despite her still being in pain. Because she had exhausted all the $4000 on treatment, he said the hospital had threatened to discharge her on the streets and he was trying to borrow more money to see if he could send it to her so they could continue with her treatments.

He furthermore told me that the girlfriend said that she was a Nigerian American citizen who was currently stuck in Nigeria due to her passport having expired and also due to Covid lockdown at airports in Nigeria. He said she had asked him for $300 to renew her US passport from American embassy in Nigeria.

Another thing that he told me was that just before covid struck, there was a similar pandemic which happened in Nigeria early this year and that his girlfriend had contracted the disease and he had to send her $2000 for treatment. Right now he said he's broke but is waiting for like $2000 disability check from the US government next week which he will send to her as soon as the money clears.

As he was telling me this tale, I was so angry with Nigerians and how they take advantage of people in love to scam them. I wanted to swear for the scammers


I'm at a dilemma here. Do I tell him that he's being scammed by Nigerians or do I continue to be professional and just ignore it. Because I don't want him to think I'm involved with it because these oyinbo people can turn everything on your head and accuse you that is your people in conjunction with you that are scamming him. They are that crazy.

The good part of me wants to help him but I'm hesitant that it may turn out bad for me. Please matured responses.

Since he has told you his experience, tell him what u feel is ur thought. And I hope you gain his trust.
Trust can take a relationship far and but not money.
