Christianity EtcRe: Should We Stop Giving Tithe? by seyenko(m): 12:36pm On Jul 27, 2009
Matthew
28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth. 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Matthew
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

I can't see where Jesus commanded his disciples to collect tithe as part of what he taught them or commanded them.
PoliticsNigeria - A Failed State Or Failing State by seyenko(op): 12:03pm On Jul 27, 2009
Over this past weekend, i have a reflection on the report emanating from the US that Nigeria will become a failed state in 20 years. Looking back at the events of the past months, weeks, days i am beginning to believe the British experiment called Nigeria is already failing or failed. For instance i haven't had electricity for so many weeks, because the problem is general - there is no water running from the taps becuase the water works doesn't have a functioning generator or cannot afford diesel. The domestic waste in fron of my house is mounting, the post office staff saty they are on strike so i cannot clear my registered mail. PHCN staff say they are on strike, ASUU, NUPENG, NMA etc are all on strike.
Yar adua said he want to build a boulevard in Abuja for N120B but Apapa - Oshodi express way is in a mess, the road to the international airport is in a mess. Yar adua wants to build a petroleum institute in northern Nigeria for N18B but oil is drilled in the Niger Delta.
The past 3 consecutuive police IGs have been thieves - Balogun, Ehindero and Okiro. The list goes on and on. Please is the entity Nigeria existing or dead? Please i need an answer.

RomanceRe: Must Girlfriends Demand An Allowance? by seyenko(m): 3:17pm On Jul 22, 2009
Also i believe it will make me feel less of a man if i don't give her and my 3 other siblings money regularly or text them surprise credit when i feel like it but i am not obliged or pressured by them.
RomanceRe: Must Girlfriends Demand An Allowance? by seyenko(m): 3:15pm On Jul 22, 2009
She doesn't work but she also spends on me, in fact when she spends on me say on my birthday i make sure i give her more money subsequently because i know she spent from her allowance from home so i replace it voluntarily. She is not a burden to me, besides i give my 3 brothers in University money every month voluntarily so she is just part of my family that's all. I do it without feeling burdened
RomanceRe: Must Girlfriends Demand An Allowance? by seyenko(m): 3:03pm On Jul 22, 2009
I dont think there is anything wrong with it, i give my gal money regularly and i buy her surprise phone credits. She doesn't ask me - maybe she asked twice or thrice since we have been dating for 2 years now. But i make sure i give her a good sum before she's tempted to ask.
Maybe because I see it like giving my juniors pocket money, so i give everybody a sum every month for their upkeep

A gal friend needs to have some allowance even if she's working. Women like money so they equate having their bfs money in their kitty to love
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did Jesus Call For The Killing Of Children? by seyenko(m): 3:50pm On Jul 09, 2009
Hebrews
8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Adeboye Says Pray Btw 11p.m To 1 A.m by seyenko(m): 11:21am On Jul 02, 2009
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. 14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. 17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. 18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? 22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

But we command you brethren in the name of our Lord Jesus,tht you withdraw from every brotherwho walks dishhonestly and not according to tradition,which he reeived from us.For you yourself know how you ought to follow us,for we were not disorderly among you,nor did we eat anyone's bread free of charge but worked with labour day and night that we might not be a burden to any of you.
Not because we do not have authourity,but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.
BusinessRe: Games That Nigerian Banks Play To Rip Their Customers by seyenko(m): 11:07am On Jul 01, 2009
I am a banker, and i am fully aware of customers complaint - picture this, is it very difficult to run a business successfully in Nigeria. For instance to run an ATM we need to put an inverter, a stabilizer, a surge protector etc. You pay your service provider to maintain the equipments, you pay a service provider that provides a telecommunication link to head office. Most times you need 2 service providers because the link could go down so u need to switch to the next. Basically, banks are just being innovative in their charges, however this charges will disappear if and only if Nigeria can generate enough clean electricity, the competition will force charges down because the over head cost of running an ATM or a branch will fall. Currently i spend a minimum of N5M on diesel on the smallest branch per month and we have 255 branches. Please do the maths, so we are not charging because we want to charge but we charge to stay afloat. Besides my bank is one of the top 4 banks in the industry read yesterdays African Report or Punch. Thank you
Christianity EtcRe: The Lebanon-israel Conflict by seyenko(m): 1:33pm On Jun 25, 2009
Arabs and Israelis will never be at peace, they never will. The conflict in the middle east is divinely ordained. Why do i say so? lets look at it this way. Abram had an illegitimate first born from Haga - Ishmael but his legally recognized heir is Issac from Sarah. The conflict is a very natural conflict even in todays world. Imagine a man having his first born male child from a concubine and his second male son from his legitimate wife. How will his inheritance be shared? Bloody i believe, though Christians and Jews quickly claim ' Abraham's blessings are mine' . Does it exclude his illegitimate first born , first male child? - the Arabs. Will you as a person give up your inheritance because your Dad had an affair? Remember you were not born because you want to. Do you get my point.
So why did God allow a child from the slave woman - Haga and another from Sarah must later? He is the only one that can explain himself.
Why is it that after 12000 years BC, 2009 years AD the struggle is still there? It is because the Arabs will not accept to be disinherited and the Jews do not want to share the inheritance. So who wins? Nobody! When God blessed Abraham he did not say i bless your legitimate heirs but your children and you. The struggle continues.
Christianity EtcRe: Did Jesus Have Brothers? by seyenko(m): 12:53pm On Jun 25, 2009
About Jesus having siblings or no Siblings, lets look at it this way. The bible gave an account of Jesus in is early Pre-adolescent and his later years when he was age 30 dying at the age of about 33. Obviously there is a gap of about 20 to 25 years in his history. Why do we have this gap? lets look at it this way - the bible is a compilation of known and available scripts at the point of compilation. Please recall that before the compilation, the roman emperor prosecuted Christians- killing them and burning their scrolls and written manuscripts. During that period it is very possible that scripts which account for the missing years were found and destroyed or the scripts were well hiding in a cave and the owner could not located it after or the owner of the script was tortured to produce the script but did not produce the script from where it was hiding but the owner died during torture and the scripts remained lost after the bible as we have it now is compiled.

So we cannot say he did have siblings or he didn't, why will Mary not want to have other biological children with Joseph?

Just a thought
Christianity EtcRe: The True Gospel Of Jesus Christ by seyenko(m): 3:09pm On Jun 22, 2009
Have you are wondered why societies like Illuminati came to being, it was because of the distortion of the truth by the religious people. While they could not explain certain things, they are quick claim it is satanic or heresy, then they burn you at stake. I used to tell a gal friend in the past that diseases like epilepsy, sleep paralysis and other unexplainable neurological illnesses have nothing to do with demonic possession which was what the church was preaching but science came to prove the religious ones wrong. Imagine what having sickle cell anemia or having multiple births or birth defect was like in those days of the dark ages when the church even claimed that the earth is flat and it is at the center of the universe, but we know it is all falsehood today thanks to break through in scientific knowledge. If only they can remove their religion cap for once and look at issues objectively without bias. The distortion of the gospel and the truth is still going on up till today, i times i wonder if the average educated Nigerian is not an educated illiterate. The white man once said ' if you want to hide something from a black man, put it in a book'. The average Nigerian is too lazy to read the bible, instead they rely on the lies their charlatan pastors tells them on the pulpit as a fact, when the bible position is very clear but they are too lazy to make any effort in knowing the truth, or when they even know the truth , they prefer being with the crowd. Having crowd mentality and never standing on fact but fallacy.

Acts 7 45 - 59
Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
But Solomon built him an house.
Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Hath not my hand made all these things?
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
Christianity EtcRe: I Am Done With Intituitionalized Christianity, Would Stop Attending "church" by seyenko(m): 4:56pm On Jun 15, 2009
The "churches" are like Microsoft nowadays - they preach user friendly sermons, they say what the people want to hear and not what they should hear. They engage in direct and indirect marketing of people via feedbacks they get from the payback of their 'film' recordings. They understand at what point in the videos the people are subjected to mass hysteria and irrational euphoria. You hardly go to church nowadays without wondering if you are in a MBA class - all you hear is money, money , money, seed offering, covenant offering, faith offering, kingdom seed offering, tithe offering etc

You must remember that the bible is also a book of the tradition of israelite, the issue of dress code in the bible applies to the israelites and not to the whole wide world. For instance you cannot say that women living in temperate countries should not wear trousers. The bible also says that wool, linen etc should not be worn remember that in cold countries you cannot wear cotton clothing all year round
